thanks for the congrats everyone im so pleased!!

mumof my scan at 8+1 was abdominal... most private places say on the website whether its transab or transvag.. if the vagina one is clearer i kind of wished id had that as it was very blurry on mine although i did still see the hb

rallytog1 · 03/07/2015 12:16

Your colleagues sound charming purdie!

I quite like the nn Zippy, but I suspect dh might veto it. And I got my way with dd's name, so I suppose I should let him have a say this time. We love biblical names but lots of them seem really popular at the moment.

Great news clara Smile

Happytimes2 · 03/07/2015 12:29

Zoo you are both entitled to time off work for the scan, but sometimes it is just easier to arrange in time off!

Brummiegirl15 · 03/07/2015 12:38

Hi all - bricking it as got scan at 2.40 Confused

Swanned in last time after seeing a hb 2 weeks earlier and my world came crashing down around me. For the 3rd fucking time.

Cannot even begin to describe how sick with fear I feel.

I had a dildocam at 6+2 and it was absolutely fine. The relief of being able to go to the loo beforehand and it doesn't hurt in the slightest

StockingFullOfCoal · 03/07/2015 12:38

I can eat chicken super noddles and pickled onion space raiders for lunch right?! So far removed from what I'd usually eat.

I have no issues getting my vag out, after 3 babies I have zero dignity left. If I'd needed a vaginal scan it wouldn't have bothered me.

Got everything crossed for you Brummie!

Happytimes, I've got no idea if it works like that here, but I don't want to tell work yet anyway, they seem to be open Saturday mornings so that might work.

birdbrain21 · 03/07/2015 14:39

Brummie thinking of you let us know what happens!

Just got back from the mw. Once I got there she seemed so positive that I didn't bring up my worries because they suddenly seemed silly. Had my bloods done and all the millions of questions and got my scanned booked for 2 weeks today, think time is going to go very slowly!

ATrueNerd · 03/07/2015 14:56

Thinking of you Brummie xx

I am so sorry for freaking people out :( I did seriously get up very awkwardly, I was holding my toddler in one arm and a drink in the other hand and sort of twisted myself up, very silly of me and it was a very weird feeling, def not like any normal stretching feeling, I'm sure getting up any normal way is totally fine, and of course that mightn't have been the cause at all, it's just that when I worked out the dates I remembered that (it was Boxing Day). The hospital said there is no way of knowing what could have caused it, it was only when my friends mum mentioned a similar thing that I thought it could be that, mainly to give myself hope with my next pregnancy that it wasn't an issue more likely to happen again.

For those worrying about bleeding, I bled loads in the early weeks with dd1 and dd2 and everything was fine, but I didn't bleed at all in the early weeks with the miscarriages. I've had brown spotting this time but not worried about that really, more worried because I feel totally normal..

SmashleyHop · 03/07/2015 14:59

Good luck Brummie- Flowers

Today I feel much more human. Perhaps we are on the other side of the morning sickness. Really hope so as we are going away in two weeks and I'd rather not be resigned to my hotel room the whole time.

We are finding out what we are having. I get the feeling she is a girl though. Which is frustrating because I have no idea what we would name a girl. I already have a Lorelai, and trying to come up with something that is unique yet not too out there is hard.

ATrueNerd · 03/07/2015 15:00

If anyone is really worried I would ring the Early Pregnancy Unit at your hospital directly, I did because I was flying, said I was 5 weeks and wanted to check before I went that it wasn't ectopic or anything, they were lovely and fitted me in the next day.

Happytimes2 · 03/07/2015 16:24

Where abouts are u zoo? That's UK law.
brummie I can't imagine what ure going through
atrue that's really good service! Last time the mw had to fight for me to get the appt for my norm 12 week scan.
I'm definitely finding out what we're having. Even if they can't tell on 20w scan ill get a private one!

purdiepipesup · 03/07/2015 16:52

Where's Brummie?

jellypi3 · 03/07/2015 18:04

Thinking of you brummie we've all got our fingers crossed hard for you xxx

Surprisebaby2ontheway · 03/07/2015 18:37

Hi! Hope you don't mind if I join. Found out on Wednesday I'm pregnant with number 2. Bit if a surprise as we weren't going to try again until at least the end of the year. I'm 5 weeks pregnant so puts my due date as 2nd March. However, not sure if I'll elect for or whether they'll advise me to have a section after last time. That would make me due in Feb xx

clumsypots · 03/07/2015 18:46

Hi suprise

I have been thinking of you today brummie

I had my consultant appointment today and they are doing more tests to see if my miscarriage in December and blood clot were linked in anyway. Also saw the midwife for the first time today so feel like a pin cushion as they all wanted blood! Plus they have upped my injections to twice a day Sad feeling positive though as they are looking into everything properly Smile

Brummiegirl15 · 03/07/2015 19:08

Hi all Grin

Sorry I was so exhausted when I got in I fell asleep!

Baby Brummie is very busy doing headstands and waving legs in the air.

9+2 so bang on 3 weeks after last scan, little heartbeat fluttering away.

I'm so relieved, I actually cried. This is now officially the longest I've ever been pregnant.

Onwards to 12 week scan on 20th

Today I am pregnant
