Thank you so much for all of the best wishes. They were greatly appreciated.

Good news - I have a blob with a heartbeat that measures bang on the dates.
The sonographer was able to see that there was a blood build up next to the yolk sac, which is where the bleed came from and there's still a little more to come (though I assume that the body could also absorb this).
I've been told to take things ever so easy for the next few weeks with no heavy lifting or anything remotely strenuous. Even hoovering is too much!

I have no picture to post as I wasn't offered - it really was only a wee blob though.

All in all, I am a very happy bunny today and will be resting easy tonight.

Boobear. I feel exactly the same. It's awful. I'm so ineffective at work... Left at 2 yesterday and fell asleep on sofa til 6. Then last night DH tells me I groaned my way through the night keeping him awake!!

Mirabal · 02/07/2015 11:49

JELLY ! Yes! Wonderful news what a relief for you x

Rufus200 · 02/07/2015 11:49

jelly Congrats on the HB

isla Happy Birthday

Should have been more grateful for the day of no nausea yesterday instead of worrying as it has returned with a vengeance today and I have a splitting headache.

Boobear1983 · 02/07/2015 12:10

Yay jelly excellent news.

I am about to meat for the first time in 2 years Shock i have had a massive craving for hotdogs the last few weeks for no apparent reason. Dh asked what i wanted to eat, in between retching all i could say was 'hotdogs'.

SmashleyHop · 02/07/2015 12:14

Hurray Jelly!

For lunch I have just polished off an entire can of beans. Definitely a British baby I'm carrying. Now comes the song and dance of "Will I or won't I keep it down?".

RattyCatty · 02/07/2015 12:25

Jelly that's wondrful news Smile

purdiepipesup · 02/07/2015 12:31

Hurrah for AngelinaJelly! (See what I did there?) I am so, so thrilled for you after such a ghastly scare Thanks

Smashley, please tell me you heated those beans first Envy

Boo, yay for caniverous cravings! I'm a meat freak, me.

I'm off work again and just majorly fatigued. I hate having no energy for Nancy but I am so impressed with dh's indefatigable energy and gung-ho attitude.

Zookeeper73 · 02/07/2015 12:31

Oh Jelly, that is such fantastic news!

primarynoodle · 02/07/2015 12:33

yay jelly congrats! how far gone are you now?

purdiepipesup · 02/07/2015 12:35

Isla, happy birthday, love! ThanksBrew

I can not understand pregnant women who run beyond the first trimester. Utterly barmy, unless you are a professional who needs the money and hence the training.

SmashleyHop · 02/07/2015 12:36

Purdie- Oh yes.. And in true American fashion I smothered it in cheese too.

This child has no hope. Grin

ATrueNerd · 02/07/2015 12:40

Hi, I'd like to join you if I may, I'm due 22nd feb, so I'm 6+3. Third baby, I've also had two miscarriages so 5th pregnancy and it was a surprise.. I had a scan last week at 5+3 as I was going away and wanted to check all was ok before I flew. Just saw the sack which I'm assured is normal for that time, going back next week so praying that all will be ok. Very tempted to have a private one this week but going to try to hold out and if all is ok I will have a private one at 9 and a half ish as the last miscarriage I had, the baby died at 9 weeks, discovered at 12 week scan. I'm worried as I have hardly any symptoms.. My boobs were really sore but not so much now and I've barely felt sick. Pretty tired though.. Great news Jelly ????

WouldRatherHaveCake · 02/07/2015 12:52

Chuffed for you jelly lovely.
Welcome nerd, there's a few of us in the same boat. FX all goes well for you

haquoi123 · 02/07/2015 13:09

Amazing news jelly! Welcome nerd :)

ATrueNerd · 02/07/2015 13:31

I gave in and called for a private scan appointment, they don't have any till Monday and my hospital one is Thursday so no point, decision made! 7 days to wait..

clumsypots · 02/07/2015 14:05

That's awesome news jelly
Happy birthday *Isla

Raaaaaah · 02/07/2015 14:07

Yay Jelly, that is fantastic news.

Welcome Nerd!

What did you decide on the swim goneswimming?

Purdie I love the name Nancy!

StockingFullOfCoal · 02/07/2015 14:22

MW was lovely. She has no issues with sending me to the other hospital, but did explain that should I opt for a home birth, in case of emergency, I would be sent to the nearest hospital (which I want to avoid) but said the home birth rate here is approx 36%. I'm under Consultant again and will have extra scans throughout. My next appointment with her is at 16 weeks, and there's a drop in every Tuesday.

Also, from September, paper notes are going away and are being replaced with the information on an SMART PHONE APP shakes fist Hmm Angry She's not too happy about it. My S3 dies after 4 hours, its absolutely no good whatsoever, so I carry a little £10 Samsung clam phone. Ridiculous, I don't trust technology at all.

Hello to all the newbies!

My step Mums sister has two kids... Called Sid and Nancy.... I shit you all not.

Boys names confound me. Girls names? I could have 10 more daughters and not run out of names!

What, the green pregnancy notes will be on an app? That sucks!

LillianMakesAMinion · 02/07/2015 15:24

So happy for your news jelly! Your DH must be chuffed for being right :)

jellypi3 · 02/07/2015 16:37

Pregnancy notes on an app?? My mw didn't say anything. Maybe it's an area by area thing?

Great news for the positive scan jelly.

Happy birthday isla. My next birthday won't be until post baby. Scary thought.

cremedecacao · 02/07/2015 17:17

BooBear- I am ALL OVER the meat today. I am SO hungry and not eating til 8! I had soup for lunch at work but then went out to buy a sausage roll to go with it- soup isn't cutting it!
