was just thinking re 9 months mat leave (promise I won't mention it again maveta - you'll still get a better tan than we will in a whole year of being off) those poor people on march 07 thread! I'd be gutted (well as gutted as I was when I had got dates wrong!)to think if I had kept my legs crossed for another couple of weeks it would have made all that difference - bless them.

geordiemacminx · 17/11/2006 15:55

Yep thats the one SOL, they had a plain black one exactly the same too so I got that one aswell.. will look nice over trousers or with knee high boots... uncertain how long said boots will fit for mind you.

Like the dress as it shoed off my bump, as everything I wear at the moment seems to be hiding it!!!

geordiemacminx · 17/11/2006 15:59

On a completely different random note... Kylie is on the radio... I should be so lucky lucky lucky... the bean is dancing!!!

1becomes3 · 17/11/2006 16:04

I have decided that I am going to take my 9month mat leave then quit my job!
I just don't think I can handle the 7 day weeks with 3 children undermy feet, it's hard enough trying to find time with just DD but with 2 more no chance.
(also I would never get to come on mn if I carried on working.)
Oh and also I haven't told DH of my plans yet.

Sexonlegs · 17/11/2006 16:56

GMM, I saw the black one as well, and nearly bought it, but had just spent a load of money on xmas presents!
Lovely with black boots as well - kind of planning that for our xmas do. I've got some nice stretchy boots - although my calves are so stick like, normal boots look like wellies!

CornflakeKid · 17/11/2006 17:52

Good evening all - waiting for dh to get back with a chinese - yuuuummmmmyyyyyyy!

I had a clothes crisis this morning - may try to get to H&M next week - I found www.warehouse.co.uk do maternity stuff - all quite nice - like the chandelier dress but way too much money. A friend of a friend has just had a baby and has offered some clothes which is great.

I finish work in february - at 31 1/2 weeks - 18 days and counting!

Have bought another cuddlebuns nappy off ebay! Really don't need any more nappies or wraps now...Have been given two lovely rush hampers for the nursery - may keep all my nappies in one and bedding in another.

Hurry up dh - have ordered sweet and sour hong style prawns, plain chow mein and chilli beef ... I need it now!

Sexonlegs · 17/11/2006 18:51

CFK, you are making me hungry! I am having chicken korma, and dh is having thai red curry - starving hungry, but dh not home yet, even though he left at 5.30. Bloody Friday night traffic and yukky weather no doubt!

CaptainDippy · 17/11/2006 19:57

I had Bangers & Mash and it was yumeeeeee! DD's in bed, I'm going to have a hot choccy and chill out - feeling surprisingly not tired tonight, which is incredible - haven't felt like this of an evening for aaaaaaaggggeeeesss!

Enjoy your chinese / curry yumness!

I will be joining CD for a hot chocolate (white chocolate options yummmmmmmmmmmmy)
I have done all my work for the weekend so unless someone send me some more I think I have the weekend off, so if you don't hear from me it's because I am avoiding the computer.
Have a good weekend all lol

CaptainDippy · 17/11/2006 21:00

Enjoy your Hot Choc honey!

This talk of take-aways is making me feel very hungry - and I've just polished off a big dish of spag bol.

Gutted to hear that George are not doing any maternity stuff. Usually love Asda stuff, and the childrens stuff is good too.

Visited my friend and her 2week old son today. Absolutley gorgeous , and it really made me feel excited. Her eldest ds (who's the same age as my ds) was so good with him. Had lots of cuddles with the new baby and the 2 toddling ds' had great fun playing together. When we left, my ds gave the baby a big kiss

Going to bed now, have a lovely evening and weekend

x

19+3 (isn't time going quickly)

WestCountryLass · 17/11/2006 21:34

Congrats to everyone else who has had good scan results

And to everyone scoffing a takeaway, I would love a veggy sushi and thai green curry right about now!

maveta · 17/11/2006 22:14

Mmmm to all of these curries and hot chocolates, sound delicious! I had rather boring chicken noodle soup although I might indulge in a hot choccy when dh comes home.

Speaking of whom, I have to share how lovely he is perfectly exemplified by today..I left this morning in what could only be called a Funk. Was feeling very frumpy due to extreme lack of jeans to wear (practically the only thing I ever wear) resulting in brown maternity pants with which the only shoes I can wear are brown trainers. Ugh. (This is all due to me refusing to buy any other maternity clothes until I hit Topshop London in 2 weeks time). So anyway, when I got home tonight he surprised with me a new pair of Adidas (not brown!!) and a cd I have been wanting for ages, just to cheer me up.

What a sweetheart. And on that note I wish you all a lovely evening and weekend x

Greengirlforever · 17/11/2006 23:43

1B3 - Hope you have a nice rest from the computer! Re you leaving your job after maternity leave - (and SOL can you confirm if I've got this right?) I think that if you quit your job straight after taking your maternity leave you have to pay some of the maternity pay back! Cos' I was thinking of doing the same thing but I'm pretty sure I will have to work for at least 3 months on my return to make the maternity pay "safe" as it were.

Greengirlforever · 18/11/2006 00:08

EVERYONE - I've poached another questionnaire from the May thread - can't do link but its on Antenatal Thread starting "April 2007". Go do it!

CornflakeKid · 18/11/2006 08:10

I only get maternity allowance which you don't pay back - I think it's additional maternity pay (AMP) you need to pay back??? Off to find GGF thread!

Need to clean today...BORING

CaptainDippy · 18/11/2006 08:24

Morning! DD's have had breakfast and already wrecking the place - maaaarvellous!

Hope everyone has a super w/e - off to protect DH!

Morning everyone - haven't posted in a while but have been keeping up (just!)
Welcome HotLipsMummy
Mammyjo - sorry to hear about your DS - what a shock for you both.
MIAM - great news re. Farepak; am so pleased for you.
We had our 20wk scan yesterday - amazing! Could see all 4 chambers of heart, liver etc. etc. and bean was playing with her feet! Yes, we are having a pink one! It was so nice and re-assuring and feel very excited that more than half way there now!
Have a lovely weekend everyone xx

CornflakeKid · 18/11/2006 08:48

Excellent news doghouse - congratulations xoxoxox

muminamini · 18/11/2006 09:22

Moorning!

CFK - If you just get SMP then that is "safe" whether you go back or not. I did not go back to my job last time and they were fully aware of this yet I still got my SMP for the full 6 months. I think the "clawback" only applies if you are lucky to have a company that pays you your normal salary when you are off.

Doghouse - congrats on your Pink bean!!!
MAteva - glad to hear there are some well behaved DH's out there!! Bless him!

Not a great deal planned for today but am going out tonight with DH and My Dad and his partner and my brother and his fiance.

We are having a big celebratory Indian as the house my Dad bought as a project and did up sold yesterday. We are v proud of him! I am so looking forward to it and plan to trough for England!!!!

DS is happily watching Peppa Pig and "Oinking" at the telly whilst taking his Winnie The Poo ride on toy for a "walk" with one of Daddy's tie's as a lead! lol
Like you SOL - I could eat my DS sometimes he's so cute! Unfortunatley when he goes to love our cat Jasper he normally ends up getting swiped at...the cat really does not trust him as up until recently all DS did was grab at his tail!

Feeling alot more "Up" today - had a lovley glass of red last night whilst watching I'm a Celeb and DS slept till 7.30 this morning which was a big lie in for me!

Hope everyone has a lovley day

MIAM 18 +1 - GOSH!

CaptainDippy · 18/11/2006 10:17

Awwww doghouse, glad your scan went well - and Congratulations on the Pink One - being the proud owner of two little Pink Ones myself I can thoroughly recommend them!!

Enjoy the celebrations with your family MIAM - glad you are feeling today!

Was thinking - most antenatal threads have a compiled list of people's names and due dates - and whether or not they are having a boy / girl / twins / quads (!!) etc ..... I think it would be quite nice / useful to have one too .... I'll start....

Hello all,

OMG I can't believe how much I have missed out on over the past weeks. Will have to go back and check everyone is ok.

Congrats doghouse on your little pink one....

Hope that everyone is doing well.

It has been all go in the house of bubblez. DD has manage to get one illness after another and is only now getting over the last.

Bean is moving about nonstop now kicking and punching mummy at every given oppotunity. (a good reminder that I'm preggers)
I have my 20wk scan on the 21st November and will hopefully find out what flavour baby is!!! [excited]
I know that everyone is going to think that I'm mad but I've been making a hospital bag/essentials (essentials as I'm not allowed to leave the house for two weeks after giving birth)list..... anyone else over planning? please don't let it be just me
