One thing that I do remember from my skim read.. don't know if you ladies know this, but apparently if you order from Next online (since the only shop that now sells maternity wear instore is the one in Bluewater according to a friend), you can return the clothes to any Next store if they don't fit/suit. Which makes buying them on-line a bit easier...

Morning all! Good weekend for me as dh was actually off work for a change so we could have some family time and it was lovely. Also, ds is dry at night! He just decided he wanted to wear his pants to bed instead of a nappy and no accidents so far. I am so glad I just let him do it at his own pace and didnt push as now he has done it all by himself - hooray for ds!!

So.. grobags with ds I was brought one but never really knew what to do with it Am termined to get on with it this year, so am going to buy one - thinkin about it maybe that why I had so many sleepless nights with ds cos he was cold all time from kicking his covers off!!! Any advice would be welcome...

Got lots of movement from the baby but just no bump I really want one!!!

Hello everyone. Hope you've had a good weekend. Very worried to hear about your car bump GMM - must have been very scary.

We hired a digger and tried to make a parking area in our front garden at the weekend. Needless to say we are not finished, and now left with a big pile of mud, but it was good fun!! DH was also very solicitous that I didn't do too much which was very sweet.

Can't believe I am 20 weeks already!!!

Thanks so much for all your kind words re my accident. Feel very guilty about it, and also pissed that I am going to have to pay £400 excess but still if it teaches me a lesson then I reckon I go off quite lightly...

Wow - I am impressed wih your digger hiring Bramshott! My DD1 would LOVE that, she is hugely into machinery atm - only problem is, she would have had a paddy if we didn't let her drive it!!

Yey to DS being dry mammyjo and to your DH being off work this w/e too - hope you had a lovely productive time.

I am doing ok, just finding the DD's v.hard work atm, feeling a bit low and and tired.

CD - she did!! Sitting on DH's lap of course! She was very pleased with herself. If I have a minute later I will try to post a pic . . . Luckily after foul stormy weather on Friday, we had two bright and sunny days at the weekend - we were so lucky!

Mine was good. Had some me time, which doesn't happen very much.
Went out and brought some maternity trousers from h & m so I am finally out of my p.j's, and thankfully my arse hasn't expanded as much as I thought it had, it must just be those p.j's that make it look HUGE.
Also picked up a breast feeding bra as my other ones don't fit this time round, the only had them in orange and bloody lime green, both of which I have loads of clothes to match (not!.)
Oh well can't have everything.

Had a fantastic chinese on sat with DH and DD, eat as much as you like (I think they were regretting letting me in by the time I had finished! )

I think that is about it apart from do I have to re-type that WHOLE list to put me on or is there an easier quicker way?

Bramshott- I have a huge fear of diggers, just before I got pg with DD we hired a digger to dig some footing for an extension on our house, Dh decided to let me drive as i was pg(big mistake)
I had been moving mud from a huge pile in the back garden to the front, up and down up and down for about 5 hours!
It was getting dark and I asked DH if I could stop, he said yeah after this last one, so as i was reversing into the back garden, I accidently drove up the huge pile of mud, and the whole digger tipped over onto it's side!
I smashed my elbow into the glass, blood pouring everywhere, glass stuck in my elbow, it was a huge mess.
needless to say I lost the baby and have never been back behind the wheel of a mini digger again.

Just thought I would share that not quite sure why.

1b3 - I am shuddering now, and so glad I didn't know that story before we did our digger stuff.

GMM, glad you are ok following your bump in the car.
AngeG, ds is 3 and a half so is quite late to be dry by night (was late by day too though at 2.5 according to my joyous MIL) but so far it is so easy as he wants to do it now. I never got stressed about it, just thought he will get there when he is ready and now he is.

Onto another grim subject here, I was listening to the radio the other day and it was about circumcision, this isn't something that I have really thought about as I don't have a son, although now I have started thinking about possibly having it done for the boy baby.
Not as religious thing but just the cleanleness.
What are your views?

Re circumcision I don't think i'd have my ds done unless it was medically necessary. My DB had it done when he was younger for medical reasons and I remember it not being pleasant. Still he's 21 now so things may have moved on.

Mammyjo - I was just being nosy my DS was 3 in Sept. He has been dry during the day since the beginning of the summer, but still wearing nappies at night. Was beginning to think I needed to make more of an effort to stop it but tbh I can't be doing with getting up in the night with wet bedding. His nappies are sometimes dry in the morning but not always.
