Metal - when I had my head aches about fortnight I was recommended 4head - have you tried that?

Chops- I'm well better thanks everything seems to have settled now ( touch wood)

Metalhead · 30/06/2015 18:20

I haven't, but I have tried similar things in the past as I do suffer with headaches generally and never found anything that helped apart from proper drugs! Still, might give it a go if I can find one next time I'm in town.

firsttimebeancarrier2015 · 01/07/2015 07:43

Hi all. Can I join you lovely ladies. I've been a long time lurker but finally thought it was time to jump in with both feet. Can I join the facebook group too?

firsttimebeancarrier2015 · 01/07/2015 07:43

Ps should have said due 6th December. First timer!

Sweets27 · 01/07/2015 10:52

Hello ladies!

Thought I would just say hello as it's actually been AGES since I looked at the MN thread now that I'm living on the Facebook group. I have struggled a bit to keep up with both, but hope everyone who's still here and not on FB is doing well Smile

I can't believe we've been going so long on this thread - funny thinking back to the early days when we had all just got our BFPs. I guess it wasn't that long ago, but feels like ages!

Welcome firsttimebeancarrier Smile

Cheshirehello79 · 01/07/2015 19:04

Welcome firs time :-)

Anyone started having some movements yet? I had some sort of bubble/ gas like movements around early 16 weeks but it's now stopped and sometime I try sit awkwardly just to try and see if there's any response and there usually is and sore boobs keeps on coming and going . Should I be worried - have you all started feeling movements or I'm just panickipoo?

sharonthewaspandthewineywall · 01/07/2015 20:05

I'm feeling gassy like rumbles but not sure if it's due to continually being constipated. Still not gained any weight yet anyone else gained nothing?

Cheshirehello79 · 01/07/2015 22:00

I can see a little bump but have only gained 2kg till now - which have been told it's healthily. Still not in maternity wear but all my jeans are a bit uncomfortable so wearing maternity leggings which don't fit well at all. I guess we still have a long way to go.

sharonthewaspandthewineywall · 02/07/2015 07:35

I'm just getting paranoid in imagining this whole pregnancy and to top it off dreamt when I went for my 20 week scan there was a catalogue of disasters which cumulated in there being no sign of anything when the scan was actually done

firsttimebeancarrier2015 · 02/07/2015 07:48

So my boss outed me at work yesterday! Hadn't told anyone at work about pregnancy as we are about to under go a restructure in the next month or so and wanted to see how it would play out! I realise it was a bit naive to think I might be able to hide the bump much longer but was working on the principle that if I didn't say anything no one would ask outright! But yesterday I had a one to one with my boss and she just asked- she did preface the conversation saing "tell me if its none of my business". ... Anyway done now, but I'm still shocked that she just asked out right!

Cheshirehello79 · 02/07/2015 11:56

First - I would have been mortified if my boss asked me outright without me breaking the news but then again bet you feel some sort of relief as I tried to hide from when I found out up to 14 weeks and was so paranoid that everyone can see my frame enlarging not forgetting the dire boobs that were a pain in the back side and felt like need to touch them all the time to release tension ( this happened in meeting room full of executives too:-(

Anyways I'm sure they can't discriminate you if they are due to re- structure so hope all goes well.

Metalhead · 02/07/2015 15:16

I've been having the occasional tickling/squirming sensation cheshire but no definite movements yet, despite this being DC2 when you're supposed to feel them earlier...

sharon I've only put on about 2kg as well despite stuffing my face with lots of carbs and junk during the first trimester. I'm definitely starting to look (fat) pregnant now though.

Sorry to hear about your work situation firsttime, I think that's quite rude of your boss actually! Still, at least you don't have to hide it anymore now. Hope the restructure works out ok for you.

Cheshirehello79 · 02/07/2015 17:55

That's great news metal - mine has stopped completely! I am worried but then again I don't know what I'm meant to feel at this stage. Exactly 18 weeks today and Theres definetly something in there as when I exercise you can feel it but just not playing ball and starting moving about. Cmon beanster !

AmberLav · 02/07/2015 19:30

I still only feel infrequent wriggles, more like a feather stroking me, and sometimes I'm not too sure if it's just wind!

Welcome First! Maybe your boss has been watching Episodes, where one lady is vlearly about 40 weeks pregnant, and no one can say anything, as the pregnant lady refuses to say anything! Actually, your boss has done you a bit of a favour - if they were to push you out, she would have been better off not telling you her suspicions, as then she could have feigned ignorance of your pregnancy. By acknowledging it, you are better protected...

Metalhead · 02/07/2015 19:52

I'm not particularly reassured by it either though cheshire, like I say it's still all very faint and not very regular and could easily be just muscle twitches. I'll be 18 weeks on Monday too so would have expected more by now. Rationally I know I heard the heartbeat only a week ago and everything was fine, so no reason to worry. But I guess I'll always find something to worry about in this pregnancy!

Cheshirehello79 · 03/07/2015 13:37

So I decided to do a bit more excercise today just to shake beanster a bit good 40 min ( well 2nd trimester workout on YouTube ) and then 15 min yoga.

And indeed... Beanster didn't like it much ... Flutters and bubble like movements have reappeared a bit. I stopped exercising when was too hot so not sure if you're not active and the baby goes dormant?

Can anyone explain this ?

TerryTheGreenHorse · 03/07/2015 21:06

Hi everyone hope your all doing well.

I had an appointment today and heard the heartbeat so that should keep me ok until the next scan at the end of July!

Anyone that wants to join in on facebook just pop me a PM

AmberLav · 03/07/2015 21:11

Chesire my DS used to get excited when I exercised, and bounce and kick, I just figured that it was blood flow or the motion... used to be for about an hour after class...

Cheshirehello79 · 03/07/2015 21:59

That's good to know Amber - I was beginning to worry that I'm not feeling anything in there and ever time I went to toilet I was just checking for blood or something ... Bet you still worry all the time until you give birth :-(

staceyr23 · 03/07/2015 22:12

Hey new to this also in 2nd trimester current 16weeks although midwife is querying weeks and due date they waiting for 20 week dating scan

Cheshirehello79 · 03/07/2015 23:05

Welcome Stacey to December babies :-)

staceyr23 · 03/07/2015 23:13

Was wondering if anyone else was given a few due dates in first trimester

Metalhead · 04/07/2015 10:01

Welcome stacey, it's quite common to be given a different due date at your 12 week scan than the date you get when you use a due date calculator, if that's what you mean? Going from my last period my due date was calculated as 11 Dec, but at 12 weeks this was moved forward to 7 Dec.

Cheshirehello79 · 04/07/2015 10:40

I'm the same - we calculated from the last scan my due date should have been 8th dec but after 12 weeks scan my due date is now 3rd dec not sure if it's going to change again after my 20 week scan ?

staceyr23 · 04/07/2015 10:52

I never used a due date calculator...the doctor midwife and 2 scans already changed dates gone from October to November to 3 dates in December
