Yeah I'm mainly interested in meeting people, although we'll probably move area while I'm on mat leave Hmm

Were hoping to have been settled in new area by now but stupid house purchase fell through earlier this year Confused not great timing all in all

chopsface · 26/06/2015 18:04

I think most of the mums in my close vicinity will be young chav mums in pink jogging bottoms....

Cheshirehello79 · 26/06/2015 19:23

Oh chops that made me giggle haha.

Has anyone started feeling some movement - I can definetly say yes I've been having fish like bubbles and some weird sounds all I can describe it is like watching discovery channel listening to the whales signalling each other :-)

Cute

Metalhead · 26/06/2015 21:46

I've been getting some flutters this last week, wasn't sure at first as they're different to DD1, but I've been feeling them every day now so it must be baby.

Withalittlesparkle · 26/06/2015 22:54

Cheshire... Are you saying your baby is talking to you already? Child genius or what?!

I can feel some movements but they're not very strong or regular.

Cheshirehello79 · 27/06/2015 09:36

I might have a genius in there with a little who knows ... What's out Guinness book of records :/) or might just be all the greens I'm trying to consume to keep my iron levels up telling me it's enough lol

sharonthewaspandthewineywall · 27/06/2015 11:53

Having major flutters today but thinking it's prob due to being horrendously constipated AGAIN! Thank god I've got my gastro appointment Monday

chopsface · 27/06/2015 14:48

Feeling tired and sicky today. Had a MacDonalds for lunch which normally helps! I think baby has gone off junk food now! Although it enjoyed nandos yesterday! Must start eating better! Also constipated so doesn't help the sluggish tiredness. What's really bugging me in the vile taste in my mouth that nothing gets rid of.

Picked up my bounty pack from ASDA earlier (darn it being next to a maccyD) what a load of shite. Miniscule sudocreme, pack of wet wipes and a single newborn nappy. Dh has been looking through the catalogues though at car seats, cribs, buggies and baby carriers! Nice to see him so involved!

Cheshirehello79 · 27/06/2015 15:56

Chops have you been to Aldi? They've got baby and toddler event and I picked up new born nappies size 1and 2 for pack of 64 for £1.50 bargain and they've got wipes on offer as well . I went to try done car seat and the family isofix base at halfords and was quite impressed with new technology - just waiting for sale to start or some sort of discount offers and car seat will be sorted.

I've bought some musical toys from tk maxx and its all getting real :-) though have the worst sore boobs and had to keep on touching them to release tension all the time whilst shopping hope I wasn't seducing anyone out there lol

Metalhead · 27/06/2015 17:19

chops I'm also tired and headachy today despite having a lie in this morning. DH is off out tonight despite his parents being here, but they'll just have to entertain themselves as I'll definitely be having an early night!

Also agree on the Bounty packs, I was most disappointed first time round so this time I don't think I'll even bother.

I've not bought anything baby related yet though did look at some lovely clothes in town yesterday. But as we've still got all of DD1s stuff I'm hoping we won't have to buy much apart from nappies, though she was a summer baby so we'll probably need some warm coats etc.

AmberLav · 27/06/2015 17:21

I've finally got my downs result from the quad test (they were done by the 10th, but I had to call to get them sent out again...) and it's 1:580, which I know is low risk, but still a higher than I would have liked!

But I've checked the numbers, and the one that is high is my free hcg, and even that is only 2.04 times normal, my papp-a is 1.28 from average (below 1 can show a problem, and ny nuchal measurement was 1.9mm so normal. So I am going to relax, as I'm not surprised my nct is a trifle high as I always get bad morning sickness, and my last two pregnancies were not that different (roughly 1:1000 and 1:2000), and I am older this time... I will be paying close attention at the 20 week scan though! Glad I only have 5 weeks to wait!

Sorry, a bit me me me, hope everyone else is relatively healthy and happy!

chopsface · 27/06/2015 18:14

I don't think we are going to actually buy any baby things for a good few weeks yet, maybe after the 20 weeks scan. The only thing we've done in preparation so far is get a quote for boarding our attic! We need to pack up all the crap that's in the nursery and store it in the attic! Blokey is booked up til august so quite a while before we can furnish the nursery.

amber we didn't get all those other figures on our test results. Just a one liner with the Downs ratio. Does the midwife have this other info and what is it's importance? Got my 16w midwife appoint on Thursday. Need to ask loads. Must write stuff down!

AmberLav · 27/06/2015 20:38

Chops - as with all things in pregnancy, everything is different in every part of the country! I can't even remember what I got on my previous pregnancies - oh, that's a good point, you will lose your notes when you give birth, so take copies of anything you think you might want to keep! I found myself taking photographs on my phone while I was stuck in hospital with my first!

It's probable that only the hospital has the full details, but your midwife might be able to access them for you... enjoy the 16w appointment, it's quite a nice one if you get to hear the heartbeat!

Cheshirehello79 · 28/06/2015 04:38

Thanks -Amber for the notes bit - I was thinking of that but thought they let you have the file as I was going to put it on baby memory box. Better start photocopying from now - thank you

Another sleepless night - I'm beginning to think my sleeps gave definetly left the building :-(

chops - good luck for Thursday

Amber - great news re your results - I refused to takedowns test what will be will be

Metal - hope feeling better - when I had my worst headaches ( heat doesn't help) 4head spray really helped not sure if you've tried that

Enjoy rainey Sunday

TheMshipIsBack · 29/06/2015 17:35

I don't know if any of you will remember me, but I was briefly in the Dec 2015 club before miscarrying at about 7 or 8 weeks. I had a natural miscarriage and wanted to let my body recover so we didn't start trying till I'd had one normal period. I'm thrilled to say we got our BFP today, first cycle of trying. It's faint, but it's definitely there, and I'll be due early March 2016.

Just a little nice news to share Smile

chopsface · 29/06/2015 17:40

Congrats mship! Yes I remember your name. Great that you got your bfp so soon. Fingers crossed you have a boring easy time for the next 8 months x

MarkingMyPlace9 · 29/06/2015 17:53

Yay MShip Yes I remember you. Congrats!!!

Cheshirehello79 · 29/06/2015 18:56

Ms hip - i don't think I was on here then but that excellent new - congrats and wishing you the best of luck

Metalhead · 29/06/2015 19:51

Great news mship! I hope you have a healthy, uneventful pregnancy this time.

I'm 17 weeks today and still feeling crap every evening. If this carries on for the next five months I think I might lose the will to live... Sad

Cheshirehello79 · 29/06/2015 20:00

Metal is it tiredness or being sick or just feeling off?

Metalhead · 29/06/2015 21:25

Tired and headaches which sometimes come with waves of mild nausea. It has got better as I now usually only start to feel rubbish around 6pm, whereas during the first trimester it would start soon after lunch, but I'm still thoroughly fed up!

chopsface · 29/06/2015 21:56

Feel rubbish every evening too metal. I have resigned myself to feeling like this for the next 5 months. Then if I don't it's a bonus, right? Chin up chick x

You ok Cheshire? Any more sickness?

Cheshirehello79 · 29/06/2015 21:59

I hardly had any morning sickness first trimester all I experienced was extreme tiredness around 5/6 that I had to have some sleep after work and that would break my night sleep completely and woke up tired. That came back a bit on the beginning my second trimester with headaches and bad nausea ( couldn't eat) lost weight but I'm well better now .

I must say used to have hot ginger with lemon tea when I felt like that and that sort of helped.

Hope you feel better soon as I myself did begin to think of that carried on I don't think I would be able to cope.

Metalhead · 30/06/2015 07:47

Thanks ladies, it's good to know I'm not the only one at least! I drank ginger tea in the first trimester cheshire but the nausea isn't really that bad anymore, it's more the headaches that are bothering me. I just hope I can enjoy our holiday to Cyprus in August, been so looking forward to it all year.

ThreeBeanRap · 30/06/2015 09:46

Mship I am SO pleased for you, all the best of luck. xx
