No not finding out the sex I want a surprise after all that hard work!!hehe
You finding out Cheshire??
How you all finding pregnancy? This is my 1st pregnancy and it's nothing like what I thought it would be!!!

Cheshirehello79 · 09/07/2015 20:01

Kelman forgot to tell you I was told to have very cold waster before I go and that makes the baby awake or bit active. It's my first too and not finding out sex. You do have to have a bit of element of surprise after 9 months roller coaster. When is your due date? I'm exactly 19 weeks today due on the 3rd so we must be very close on dates :-)

Cheshirehello79 · 09/07/2015 20:02

Meant say cold water haha . P.s great news today :-)

kelman13 · 09/07/2015 20:08

Very close Cheshire I'm 19 week tomorrow, due on the 4th!!! Baby was measuring 18w2 but said there is nothing to worry about! I didn't even think about the cold water!! Was stressing to much! Already has me worrying and it isn't even here yet!!xx

Cheshirehello79 · 09/07/2015 20:16

A day behind yay! I can tell you all bout it then if beanster do stick to schedule and come out exact date as noted.

Metalhead · 09/07/2015 20:27

Great news kelman!

We already know we're having another girl because of the Harmony test, but would have found out otherwise - I'm far too impatient not to know for 9 months!

I'm finding this pregnancy much harder than last time, maybe it's because I'm 5 years older. I'm pretty sure I was feeling fine by this stage, but this time round I'm still getting headaches and occasional nausea in the evenings.

Cheshirehello79 · 10/07/2015 10:44

Aww metal hope you start feeling better soon and start enjoying your pregnancy.

I'm a bit excited today and it's all beginning to feel real . It's not that I'm 19 weeks and almost half way through pregnancy .... But had my nursery furniture arrive today and must say its all getting real.

Has anyone started buying nursery stuff or thinking of nursery especially first timers?

I've now nearly bought everything I need ( essentials) as there's lots of sale around apart from travel system which I'm going to leave it until later on to get longer guarantee.

Have fab Friday everyone :-)

chopsface · 10/07/2015 22:01

Happy Friday!

Congrats on the scan kelman

I'm lagging behind you guys at 17+4. Still just over 2 weeks until my half way! We do intend to find out the sex yes, if we can that is! We've not bought/ordered anything yet. I don't think we will for a while yet. Our nursery is still very much our 'computer room' complete with 2 desks, 2 PC's, a filing cabinet and a bookcase. We need to figure out where on earth we can re locate things and what we can get rid of! We have hired a man to board the loft so we can store more things up there as we have all our suitcases and camping gear etc cluttering up the guest bedroom. We are hoarders and have spread out into our 3 bed house over the last 6 years as a couple.

Metalhead · 11/07/2015 16:01

I bought a baby snowsuit today as it was in the sale for £8 and I love a bargain! (After I'd just bought myself some new wedge sandals for £80...) Blush We won't have to buy too much nursery stuff thankfully as we've kept all of DD1's stuff, but have started to think about how we're going to rearrange rooms and when to move DD1 into her new room.

I went to a Pilates class this morning, which was hard work but good fun. I'm definitely going to ache tomorrow though!

Cheshirehello79 · 11/07/2015 21:01

Metal first well done to Pilates and next it's good to hear that woman's priorities haven't changed ( shoes) :-) in fact I've not bought nothing for myself for ages apart from 4 items of maternity stuff .

Chops- I had to put a lot of stuff on free cycle and eBay to clear the room as it was my junk room. Must say made few bob out of the stuff which has all gone into baby fund.

This baby hope does come out and have highly paid job to pay back everything :-)

Metalhead · 13/07/2015 11:44

Have anyone's movements become more regular by now? I'm still only feeling a few kicks once a day, which I'm finding quite stressful. And time seems to have slowed down again, still 10 days to go until my 20-week scan...

chopsface · 13/07/2015 14:51

14 days to go until my 20w scan! Not felt any movement yet but not worried as its my first and may not until 20w :-) 18w today so on the look out just in case :-) still look fat instead of preg! Well depends on the outfit actually. In my bump jeans I look a tiny bit preg, only if I wear a tight top, which I do not! Today I'm wearing elastic waist linen trousers and a loose vest. Do not look preg whatsoever.

sharonthewaspandthewineywall · 13/07/2015 16:17

With my first I didn't notice movements until about 25 weeks.
I remember I was working as a carer for the elderly and every day this lady used to ask 'felt any quickenings yet?' and I'd say no nothing she'd look at me like oh dear something's not right here Grin

Metalhead · 13/07/2015 16:38

I gave in to the paranoia and went to see the midwife! She was lovely though and found the heartbeat for me, so I'm feeling a lot calmer. Only thing was she took me to the room where I gave birth to DD1 and it brought back horrible memories; definitely could not give birth there again without a major panic attack.

cherrylola · 13/07/2015 16:42

Can I join you please? Due 9th Dec Smile

chopsface · 13/07/2015 17:26

Hi cherry where have you been all this time? Grin tell us a bit about yourself and how you're pregnancy has been so far?

Cheshirehello79 · 13/07/2015 17:46

kelman13 · 13/07/2015 20:14

Will this dizziness end!!!!! been to midwife today as was emotional wreck after nearly fainting 3 times taking stepdaughter to school!!! May have a urine infection so sent sample away!!! But did have chance to listen to little ones heart beat again!!! As for movement usually notice them around 10/11 pm when I'm all chilled in bed!! xx

cherrylola · 13/07/2015 20:22

Hi ladies, thanks for having me Smile. I only MN on my phone so can't tag or see previous posts whilst I'm typing so soz as I'll miss loads out! Hope everyone is doing well! Here is a bit about my story...
I've just had my 30th Bday, have one DS now 2yo born June 2013, had a MMC February and now due DC 2 9th Dec. Our 2nd trimester scan is on Wednesday and we will find out whether it's a boy or a girl Grin. I'm working part-time so as to be home with DS as much as possible, and am TOTALLY shattered. Counting down the days until maternity leave and contemplating going pretty early this time. Seriously considering a home birth with this one as the last was an induction in hospital and I had absolutely no control and was dreadfully traumatised for sometime afterwards (although I didn't realise at the time how much it effected me)Confused. Cravings are mainly for this Wine, especially in the sunshine, but that can wait a few more months Wink That's about it I think!

cherrylola · 13/07/2015 20:28

Oh, and no movements yet, although I thought I felt something the other night when I was trying to get to sleep but it wasn't the distinctive 'popping' I remember from my Pg with DS, more like a slight wave moving inside (IYKWIM?!?). Anyways, not particularly worried about that I think it was about 22 weeks before I felt anything with DS.

Metalhead · 13/07/2015 21:37

Thanks sharon. Welcome cherry, sounds like you had a simarly bad time with your first birth, though our experiences are total opposites. I had a "textbook" natural delivery with no drugs or interventions, but had to have surgery afterwards to repair some bad tears which I found quite traumatic too, so I'm hoping to go the route of an elcs this time.

kelman13 · 15/07/2015 12:49

How did the scan go Cheshire???xx
