For all those lovely bumps incubating until last few days of Oct and all November, spilling possibly over to December for the super comfortable babies- come and chat, rant, vent, chant, glow, sweat, watch nails grow whilst doing antenatal pilates/yoga/sleeping/eating/navel gazing and over analyse to your hormones content!

Optional - FB group is up and bumping, PM me with email to be added.

Heather, no, baby is still really small and their position or the placenta position could be muffling the movement. Try to enjoy the relative comfort while you can - they'll be booting you in the ribs/stomach/cervix in no time SmileSmile

roughtyping · 19/07/2015 12:09

heather as tango says, no need to worry :) I didn't feel any movement with DS til around 25 weeks! He must've been in a comfy position.

Heather101 · 19/07/2015 13:00

Thanks for the reassurance???? It's hard not to worry!x

Dixiebell · 19/07/2015 14:23

My little lady was at the small end of the scale for everything except leg length, where she was right near the top. I'm taking this as a good combo! ????

austengirl · 19/07/2015 15:14

Hi Heather, I'm much the same and I'm 24 weeks. I mostly feel flutters and what I'd call tremors or shudders, very few definite kicks. I think the position of the placenta is a factor for me, as i know it''s anterior.

tootsroots · 19/07/2015 17:00

dixiebell that sounds like a future model!

Dixie that's probably preferable to mine who is pretty average on everything expect with a belly measurement right up the top end - s/he seems to be a little chunk!

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 19/07/2015 17:53

You just never know really, a lot of it depends on when they are born as well. DS was supposed to be massive, estimated at 9-10lbs but was born 4 weeks prem so was 6lb 9.
This one is supposed to be small, so we'll see what happens!

Heather101 · 19/07/2015 19:57

Ladies with a low lying placenta, does it ever feel uncomfortable? Or is that just a normal part of being pregnant?????

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 19/07/2015 20:45

I had praevia last pregnancy and I didn't notice it being uncomfortable until the end, so perhaps normal pregnancy? I'm more uncomfortable this time with a high one but I think that's pregnancy #2 after a section causing it with me

doomclaw · 19/07/2015 20:54

I have a low lying placenta but it hasn't caused me any problems yet (other than sexual frustration). I seem to have discomfort down the left side of my bump quite a lot but I think that is related to constipation which I have had since 5 weeks.

lemonwildflower · 20/07/2015 07:57

Dixiebell my girl was exactly the same as yours Smile
Has anyone been tested for toxoplasmosis? Xx

lemonwildflower · 20/07/2015 07:58

And does anyone live (or will be moving to) the regions of Bedford?
I currently live in London but will be moving up soon, and I'm so worried I won't know anyone! Xx

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 20/07/2015 10:33

lemonwildflower I'm at Watford general so not too far from you. I did the same last pregnancy - moved out of London

SnozzberryPie · 20/07/2015 16:11

Hello all, I had my scan today. Baby was being v v awkward and wouldn't get in the right position for some of the checks so I was there for ages. However eventually it moved enough to see that everything was indeed OK and we are having a little boy this time Smile

Apparently my placenta is quite low but not blocking the cervix so they thought it would be fine.

Dd came along and had a lovely time watching baby brother on the telly Grin

TakesTwoToTango · 20/07/2015 16:45

Great news snozzberry!

tootsroots · 20/07/2015 16:56

I have an admin question! I'm 25 weeks but don't have my next midwife appointment until three weeks from now; I've seen something saying that for a first pregnancy I should be having another appointment about now - should I worry about falling through the administrative cracks? Or do I just accept that everything's gone smoothly so far and there's nothing to worry about?

Also, I've been asked for my MatB1 form at work but haven't been given it yet; do I need to ask for it, or will it come in the post or something?

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 20/07/2015 17:15

Hurray snoz!
Lemon I'm in Cambridge so not a million miles away.
star yes for a first baby, you should have a 24 week appointment. I would give them a call. Work can't demand your MATB1 yet though.

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 20/07/2015 17:26

That's great Snozzberry and fingers crossed that placenta moves for you

KathrynM1 · 20/07/2015 18:59

Hey. You have to request your Matb1 form. Your midwife can leave it at your docs to pick up if easier. Grin

Crumbelina · 20/07/2015 20:59

Lovely news Snozz! Smile

austengirl · 20/07/2015 21:44

Great news Snozzberry!

Yes you'll have to ask for the form star. Work has requested my MATB1 'no later than the 15th week before the expected due date' ie 25 weeks, which is when the midwife told me to come in for my next appointment. Can't believe it's next week Shock, where is the time going?

Guybrush I'm just down the road from you (South Cambs) Smile

Unthoughtknown · 21/07/2015 20:17

How is everyone today? I'm exhausted and can't stop eating. When will this burst of energy happen?

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 21/07/2015 20:30

I'm exhausted too but got my bloods back and was prescribed iron today, so once that kicks in I should feel better. Had the same thing last pregnancy so I was expecting it at some point.
Good midwife appointment today, she said a c section was 'not impossible' and she thinks the small age gap makes VBAC very risky so the consultant might sign it off. My hospital are very anti c section so I am keeping VBAC in mind if I get nowhere with this.
Had my first stranger comment today at 25 weeks so must finally be showing! Always assumed I'd be massive with a second pregnancy but seems not
