For all those lovely bumps incubating until last few days of Oct and all November, spilling possibly over to December for the super comfortable babies- come and chat, rant, vent, chant, glow, sweat, watch nails grow whilst doing antenatal pilates/yoga/sleeping/eating/navel gazing and over analyse to your hormones content!

Optional - FB group is up and bumping, PM me with email to be added.

Great to have you back Sleepless!

Unthought, I've had canestan on prescription a few times in previous pregnancies, it's totally fine. I got thrush so many times I ended up getting the generic pessaries off ebay, alot cheaper and you get a few of them, and no chance of causing a scene at a shop ????

Is everyone else enjoying lovely weather? I have donned my maternity jean shorts today, so comfy! Now if only I could indulge in a cold cider in a beer garden somewhere :) My skin has become so sensitive to the sun, I am burning within about 10 minutes :(

Unthoughtknown · 27/06/2015 19:57

That's a great tip twobees re eBay. I'm quite prone to cystitis and thrush so buying treatment in packs makes sense.

Heir go for a alcohol free koppaberg (or even a little cider shandy). Think I'm going to stock up on alcohol free beer now the weather is nice.

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 27/06/2015 20:52

I've got some Beck's blue (best of a bad lot) and the sainsburys low alcohol cider. Not tried the cider yet but hear it's pretty close to the real thing

doomclaw · 27/06/2015 21:24

abbey I had a bottle of the sainsburys low alcohol cider a couple of days ago and it is much more like proper cider than the kopparberg alcohol free stuff

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 27/06/2015 21:29

That's good to know doomclaw I looked at the Kopperberg but it's quite sweet for me anyway, and this'll sound like a bad mum, but it was 0.0 so then isn't it just squash? I find the ones with a teeny bit in, even 0.05 taste better.

SnozzberryPie · 27/06/2015 21:32

The erdinger wheat beer is nice.

Now I'm past 12 weeks I'll have the odd half or shandy too.

annatha · 27/06/2015 21:37

Lovely to hear from you again sleepless, those pops definitely sound like little kicks.

I took dd out in the hauck tadem buggy today to have a play with it before baby 2 arrives and its not love at all. We only paid £45 for it so I'm sure I can sell it on if need be but it was so heavy to push, I was knackered. Coupled with it being much more complicated to fold and difficult to steer I'm thinking I'll have to find another, but will they all have similar problems? Does anyone here have a three wheeled pram by any chance? My usual pram is 4 wheeled and I've always found it easy to steer (even one handed) but I found that I had to keep this one in a straight line as it tended to veer off to the right unless I put loads of pressure on it. Gahhh.

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 27/06/2015 21:53

annatha I'm finding all the doubles a bit like driving a lorry, and I have a similar age gap to you. I'm going to look at the City Select soon I think and Phil and Ted's. I have a really light easy fold buggy right now (babyzen yoyo) which is teeny compared to most singles, so all the doubles feel huge and heavy to me

tootsroots · 27/06/2015 22:36

Sleepless i cannot say how happy i am you are here!!!! Congrats not he boy!!

Glad to see you back, sleepless Smile

Laura7010 · 28/06/2015 05:23

abbey how do you find the baby zen yoyo? I have been reccomended it as a pram that will fit in my tiny car. I wasn't sure how it would fair as an everyday pram from newborn?

Sleeplessinnorthlondon · 28/06/2015 09:32

Thanks so much for the welcome. Went to my friend's the other day who had made the low alcohol koppaberg into frozen lollies - lush :). Hope everyone doing well and gearing up for the heatwave!!!

Crumbelina · 28/06/2015 10:54

Welcome back Sleepless! Smile

Agree with Abbey - Becks Blue is the best of a bad bunch for me.

doomclaw · 28/06/2015 11:02

sleepless glad to see you here but also thanks for tip on frozen lollies - sounds like just the thing for the next few days which I understand are going to be really hot.

tootsroots · 28/06/2015 11:52

How are you all coping with Sleep and the warming weather? any tips?

OP posts:
AbbeyRoadCrossing · 28/06/2015 12:18

Laura I love that pram, we used it from newborn, there's a 0+ kit. It'll definitely fit in your car, it's a one handed fold and goes really small. I got it because I was in London at the time so really easy for lifts, going through a normal tube gate (don't need the big gate to be opened) buses etc.
Only downsides are that the tray is small, but it's a small pram so that's to be expected. I just hang bags on the handle. Some friends say the handle is too tall. Doesn't bother me but if you're very short it might do? You can't attach a car seat but again that's never bothered me.

I am gutted they don't do a tiny double!

annatha · 28/06/2015 12:58

I've just had a look at the city select and it looks much more suitable, just so expensive! I also saw the graco stadium which looks similar for under £200, not sure how it compares though but we've got a bog standard graco at the minute and its been great from the start. My arms and legs are aching so much today, it feels like I've been in the gym so it'll have to go.

toots I'm keeping cool by sleeping under a sheet instead of duvet and wearing thin cotton PJs. Last year I had a fan on all night and I think I'll be digging it out soon. I got a lovely thin cotton dressing gown thing from m&s which I'm living in lately, its nice to throw on when I'm sorting dd out in the night.

TakesTwoToTango · 28/06/2015 14:00

Welcome back sleepless!!

TakesTwoToTango · 28/06/2015 14:04

For those on the hunt for small/easy doubles. It's a nightmare! I went round the houses before dc2 arrived (22mth gap) and ended up with a Phil and teds navigator with double kits. I have to say it's been a very good workhorse for us. It fold easily once the doubles seat is off, and if you need it to go smaller, the wheels clip on and off easily too. It's not the easy as pie option that I had with the bugaboo bee first time around but it was the best option for us.

Unthoughtknown · 28/06/2015 14:13

Is this heatwave just for London? I've had a look for the weather forecast for near me and the max is 25. Ordered travel system yesterday, cosatto stripey one. It must be hard to pick a double though, I do see a lot of icandys out and about though.

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 28/06/2015 15:17

I'm not sure, I'm fairly near London and it's supposed to be 35 on Wednesday, cripes!

I just wish prams weren't so expensive, that would make life easier

Laura7010 · 28/06/2015 15:44

Thanks abbey the only thing that concerned me was not being able to attach a car seat, I'll have to weigh up the pros and cons of that! takestwo how did you find the bee? That's my other option but I know much more expensive :-/
unknown I'm in Northants and Wednesday is predicted 36 here, I may die!!

Laura7010 · 28/06/2015 15:46

On the heatwave front I've just emailed hr so they can find me a fan or something! My classroom gets boiling hot, oooh er...
