Hi ladies,
So bit of a strange one and possible a tad TMI, apologies in advance.

I've just nipped to the loo and had a very small brown clot like thing in my underwear, when I say small I mean smaller that a 5p piece.

When I wiped it was absolutely fine nothing else there etc. And no cramping either.

Should I be worried, should I call someone??

I have my booking in appointment next week, so was thinking of keeping an eye on things over the next couple of days and if anything else happens then to get in touch with someone.

This is my first pregnancy so any advice welcome as have no idea what to expect and haven't told friends yet so can't ask for their opinions

Xx

haquoi123 · 16/06/2015 12:34

I'd ring and get some advice rose. Hopefully it's nothing, but best to check x

Brummiegirl15 · 16/06/2015 12:57

Rose I would definitely agree about ringing. Hopefully it's nothing.

After complaining my nausea had gone away and I was worried - it's most definitely come back . I feel shocking.

Had a proper gagging retching moment over the loo this morning

Attractive!! And I feel spotty !!!

I shouldn't complain though I'm very grateful to feel this shit

Hello to all newbies and yay to heartbeats

purdiepie · 16/06/2015 12:59

Oh Zeriously, that is going to be so tough. Did your dh know the pregnancy risks with the mini pill? Perhaps he should've worn a condom if he was dead against another child so soon. I'm not trying to be unhelpful, but perhaps it's an argument you could lob at him if he goes absolutely mortal.

purdiepie · 16/06/2015 13:02

Lovely news about heartbeats.

Rose, I am sorry if I am about to cause alarm but I had an identical brown 'clot' which I ignored and which later proved to be a mmc. Please consider an early scan.

peggysue82 · 16/06/2015 13:08

Welcome to eggs, zeriously and Clara. Smile Great news Ratty!

Rose could it be implantation? I had a small bleed with DS2 at about 6wks which they put down to implantation. Probably best to get it checked though.

Raviolig I can't seem to add my stats either so ur not alone. Could someone please do he honours? PeggySue, age 32, 3rd child, due 15th Feb (I think) Bristol

I ended up telling DH last night...I couldn't wait any longer, I'm so useless at secrets! He was a bit shocked (not sure why tho seeings as I have been off the pill now for 9 months) but excited.

I've noticed a few people say on here that they have had scans done before the 12 week scan...is this a new thing that everyone has as I only ever remember having the 12 and 20 wk scans with both my DS? Planning on trying to see the GP tomo if I can get an appt.

Brummiegirl15 · 16/06/2015 13:17

Peggy there are lots of places that you can pay for an early scan - approx about £80-£100

An EPAU would only give you an early scan if you had bleeding or pain or a previous history of miscarriage.

But there are so many places you can go and pay

StockingFullOfCoal · 16/06/2015 13:30

£99 here in Nottingham for our early scan. Next Saturday! Eeek!

I usually have a coffee in the morning and a tea in the evening. Not a big caffeine fan, don't drink fizzy pop, ex smoker, haven't drank alcohol for 2.5 years, I'm gluten free and personally I think GF food is rank so no carbs here, 60% of my meals are veg/salad, the rest protein and good fats and mayo Tend to snack on Graze boxes and Nakd stuff. I'm craving milkshake and ice cream at the minute.

purdiepie · 16/06/2015 13:43

You must be super slim Stocking.

Bluenewbie · 16/06/2015 13:45

welcome clarabellski and congrats! It's also my first and I'm really grateful for this bunch of lovely and helpful ladies :) you can add yourelf if you will here: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1dWmvdD9SkvPQqKn7rpFHazgufmda2FOTMtL093cZFj8/edit#gid=0

Rose I hope everything is fine. Let us know the outcome of the phone call.

Bluenewbie · 16/06/2015 13:50

Peggie I think those with early scan are either paying of if or have/had some problems. My GP/MW/EPU doesn't want to give me one ;)

Stocking I'm similar to you. plus I avoid meat, fish and diary (hate an idea of small calfs being taken away from mums and latter being sucked just for our "benefit"). I also substituted completely coffee and tea with barley/chicory "coffee" and roiboos.
I crave pizza, smoothies and cheese!
grazing on ryvita thins and hummus :)

StockingFullOfCoal · 16/06/2015 13:55

purdie Nope Blush currently a stone overweight and I'm really short. I was halfway to my goal weight when I got BFP (was bordering on obese not too long ago, down to illness and meds and being unable to leave the house) so had to jump out of Induction (Atkins follower) last week. No idea what to do now.

Lilymog · 16/06/2015 14:01

I really don't feel right today, and not in a good pregnancy way. Something just doesn't feel right. I had reflexology last night, she's been helping me ttc and she knew I was pregnant, so was very nice, but today all sickness has gone, boobs only really sore when I squish them, and have a feeling of tummy pain, like I need to go to the toilet, also with a little cramping. Just not right at all!

Bluenewbie · 16/06/2015 14:08

Lilymog I have withdrawn symptoms as well. Got so scared that went to do my HCG levels. but everything seems to be ok.
your cramps could be constipation? I was sure it doesn't affect me until today. I went to the loo in the evening(very unusual for me, always morning) as I had a belly pain similar to yours. Not much of a relief. But it turned out that I actually needed to go again this morning! as I was simply constipated from yesterday. I've never had problems like this in my life. That just tells me that I nee to drink more liquids and on the day when I do surrender to pizza, to eat a salad or other fiber.
I think you should be fine Lily. You may call MW just to double check. Flowers

Bluenewbie · 16/06/2015 14:09

Peggy you're in. you can add symptoms if you want/are able.

overreactionemoticon · 16/06/2015 14:32

Yes I drink decaf, rooibos and camomile etc at home but at work there are only 4 of us and we just drink the work tea-if I start taking in my own bags they'll know something's up!

Yorkshire tea decaf is one of the better ones I agree, though it still has that fishy aftertaste. Clipper is another ok one.

I normally have a normal tea in the morning first thing but I've subbed that for a non caffeine variety, at least it's summer so they won't think too much of me subbing a cup or two with a cold drink.

Congrats ratty!

Good luck Zeriously, sounds a tricky situation. I think I would tell him asap too.

Fingers crossed all is ok rose.

overreactionemoticon · 16/06/2015 14:32

and lily too

Rose85 · 16/06/2015 14:41

Thanks for your messages ladies, I called the midwife department at the hospital and was advise to monitor it for a couple of days as it's old blood, but if I get anymore or start having pains to call them back or my GP.

Sending sticking vides to one and all Smile

Happytimes2 · 16/06/2015 14:42

Hello ladies. Think I'm due early February. Just want to say hi and that I feel sick as a dog, soo tired and light headed. Roll on feb!

Raaaaaah · 16/06/2015 14:57

My word, I can not keep up Smile. I am reading though, even though I'm not commenting. Lovely and reassuring to hear from lots of people in the same boat. It is my treat to read during quiet times.

We aren't telling anyone here until we (hopefully) get to 12 weeks. Very tricky to keep from people. Trying to be discreet about dietery and drinking habits. I have two big nights out next week with close friends. One is in a big enough group to lose some drinks but the other one is just two couples. Any good tips? Lots of positive thoughts to everyone.

twinsandapenguin · 16/06/2015 15:00

Small groups are the hardest Raaah. You might have to wheel out the antibiotics story, sometimes the oldies are the goodies. Or maybe painkillers for a bad back, just had a bad cold etc etc just hope they don't ask!

SmashleyHop · 16/06/2015 15:05

Hello Ladies- just found out I'm pregnant with number 4! Due Feb 13th. So far feeling a bit.. weird...like I'm constantly low blood sugar or something. Waiting for the sickness to hit. Hope you don't mind me joining you. Smile

elephantfeet · 16/06/2015 15:06

I think I am going to tell my manager when I'm back to work tomorrow. Not because I'm ill with it or anything (I kind of wish I was!!) but because a colleague is going off on mat leave next week and manager keeps making half jokey comments about nobody being allowed to go off until colleague is back (next August) as we are short staffed as it is. So I just want that to stop!

Happytimes2 · 16/06/2015 15:13

I'm telling my manager increase I can't do something at work/need time off etc. last time most people at work knew early on cos I was throwing up. I've got a wedding coming up so I'm driving so can't drink.
Antibiotics is a good one though! Although I also don't think it's the end of the worl if people find out

firsttimemummyy · 16/06/2015 15:14

Hi everyone! I just got my BFP yesterday, only 9DPO so very early days at the moment and I am trying not to get too excited yet. Baby number 2 for me, due date would be 27th Feb so right at the end of the month. With my first baby, now 20 months, I joined a mumsnet thread like this and it moved into a Facebook group - has anyone set one up yet? It is still going strong over 2 years later and has been an amazing source of support and now friendship! Also a fab way to share bump pics and baby pics!
