Mumof1sofar · 15/06/2015 16:25

Mmm montagues I love dominoes!Smile

Maws good luck with the scan. How many months is your 1yo? Mine is 13mo so I definitely have my hands full too!Confused

Ratty good luck for tomorrow. I'll have my fingers crossed for you.

Ahh stocking so cute!

I saw my gp today & was referred to the midwife. Can't wait to have my booking in appt & get scan dates Smile

StockingFullOfCoal · 15/06/2015 16:32

We watched Exodus: Gods and Kings yesterday afternoon. A rather horrendous scene with the first born sons dying. I had to leave the room. I don't know how DH stood it (he has a son from a previous relationship who died aged 4 weeks old, SIDS) as the scene with Ramses baby was so, so close to the bone Sad

I cried at Church yesterday. Three times. I cried this morning. I'm watching Wayward Pines and I'm crying at that - its not even a cryable sort of show (is that even a word?!)

I've been a SAHM since 2008. I've been wondering how the hell I will cope without tiny humans needing my attention 24/7 and then I get knocked up and discover I will only be alone for 5 months Grin

Mawsymoo · 15/06/2015 16:37

mumof1 DS is 12.5 months so very close in age to yours! Scary thinking about how I will cope but I'll wait til 12 weeks before I start worrying!

elephantfeet · 15/06/2015 16:41

My DM has just called to say she thinks it would be a good idea to postpone the wedding. And then she decided it was weird that I have no symptoms. She was the one reassuring me that this was ok...I wish she hadn't bothered ringing Hmm
Is grumpiness a symptom?! If so I have that one down.

RattyCatty · 15/06/2015 16:42

Thanks for info & good wishes ladies. Much appreciated. I guess I'll just drink lots of water in case & see what happens! Will let you know!

Marsaday · 15/06/2015 17:29

Hi all. Long day. Now have a toddler refusing all foos except cream crackers dipped in hummus, and an oh refusing to let him eat this as he will have won. I have left oh to deal with the dinner situation but said that we cant put him to bed with no dinner. Pretty sure he's teething as he always gets funny about food then, but frustratingly he's eating fine for his childminder and being a pain in the arse quite picky at home.
Good luck with scan ratty

I havent cried at anything yet. But have massive massive craving for tuna sandwiches on crusty white bread.

NoMontagues · 15/06/2015 17:31

mawsy and mumof my DS is 10 months, I'm not too far behind you guys. It'll be fine won't it?

Mumof1sofar · 15/06/2015 17:47

Stocking we watched Exodus too & loved it. I agree that scene was brutal though Shock Your poor dh going through that.

Maws & montague it's so nice to have others here in similar situations! Smile I agree about waiting til 12 weeks maws - it hasn't really sunk in & I don't think it will til I see all is ok on the scan (fx!)

Bluenewbie · 15/06/2015 17:49

BigFoxLittleFox I also thougth Healthy start is for everyone. Thy asked in the form on what benefits I am. They allow to finish the whole form and not mention at all that you need to be at least on working tax credit(just the initial one) to apply. So my form filling went for nothing.
it's Jellypie who created this very helpful spreadsheet. I can add a column but I need her and your approvement ladies.

Stocking beautiful scan! can't wait to see my first one. long wait though.

good luck Ratty with your scan tomorrow. FX for another HB!

I came back from second HCG levels test and although I won't have the "doubling" result until tomorrow or Wed I found out my previous levels.
Looks promising! it's 45,900 on 6+6. I know it's still not the answer a they can just decline later if something happened, but I like to think that it is a pretty normal result for my dates. FX :)

Bluenewbie · 15/06/2015 17:53

Mawsymoo good luck for Thursday!

sorry for late posts, my page doesn't refresh when I open the browser again and I think I'm reading the latest posts but I'm not. so sorry if I sound like out of date ;)

Rufus200 · 15/06/2015 17:54

Mawsy I cried at the exact same ad! I NEVER cry, I'm a hard cow normally!

Feeling a bit better, just eaten an entire bag of M&S Tortilla chips, they are just maize, sunflower oil and salt, so at least there is nothing nasty in them.

Can't get into any of my jeans, so I'm in leggings today. I've ordered some epsom salts for the bath as I've read they are safe and they have always helped me with fluid retention in the past.

Made DH take me to see Jurassic World this afternoon, I loved it but he hated it.

StockingFullOfCoal · 15/06/2015 17:57

It was an amazing film. I love a bit of Christian Bale, even if he is an asshole.

The exhaustion is lifting a little, my boobs are still sore and huge and have started tingling around the nipples.

Going by previous pregnancies, this will stop around 12 weeks, I shall have a glorious second trimester and then from 32 weeks I will heartburn that will keep me awake and make me cry for the rest of the pregnancy.

Bluenewbie · 15/06/2015 18:07

I was once a hard cow as you Rufus until my mum died when I was 30. From then on I became more and more of soft bum. Especially when I'm next to my DP, I can cry as soon as he looks at me(he knows what triggers it and checks when I start crying..).
But definitely I'm more emotional nowadays. I can't speak to the nurse or GP without almost bursting in tears. Of course all emotional adverts, scenes etc trigger tears as well. it must one of the hormones.

Mawsymoo · 15/06/2015 18:10

Rufus hard cow here too - it is NOT normal for me to be so teary!

Mumof1 and Montague I'm glad I'm not the only nutter! I didn't necessarily plan to have 2 so close but as it took nearly 4 years to get our DS between fertility treatment and mcs I decided to come off my pill to try and regulate my cycle in preparation for trying later in the year. I never did get my period - pregnant straight away! Total shock but I'm delighted and desperate for it to work out now.

rallytog1 · 15/06/2015 18:14

Great news blue - sounds spot on for your dates.

Bluenewbie · 15/06/2015 18:24

SCARED!!!

primarynoodle · 15/06/2015 18:53

i can't add myself to the spreadsheet... technically challenged! could somebody add me?

primarynoodle, 22, edd: 9/2/15, Manchester

im still having major anxiety about the possibility of miscarriage - its getting worse by the day :( im trying to pull myself together and be positive - i can see how much its upsetting dp - but i just cant Sad

Betty5714 · 15/06/2015 18:55

Welcome and congrats new bfps!

stocking its lovely to see your scan, amazing how much they grow so quickly!

I am also knicker and loo roll checking. Seventh day of light bleeding/spotting. Sometimes it doesn't bother me too much, other times it does and yesterday i felt really low. GP said most likely its implantation bleeding, which i queried as i'm 5+4 and thought it was too late for that but he assured me i was still in the implantation window. Booking in appointment 25th June, which seems a bit early as i'll only be 7weeks but thats what they gave me! Apparently here they do them between 6-10 weeks. I bought a little hat two years ago for a friend who was expecting, then found out she had loads of hats so bought her another present and never had the heart to give it to anyone else Smile. But i dont think that counts as we werent ttc then, i'm just a sop! Not buying anything else for a while.

Would love to know about reusable nappies a bit further down the line! Hate the idea of filling up landfills with nappies and hope they're not too much faff otherwise i fear i'd lose patience. I am not a very patient person, esp. when tired!

Bluenewbie · 15/06/2015 18:58

thank you Fox

noodle you're in. you won't help by worrying. everything will be fine.

stick on beans!

RattyCatty · 15/06/2015 18:59

blue that's great about blood tests!

primarynoodle I know it's so hard to not let the worries consume you, try & be positive & think 'today I am pregnant' & have milestones to count to. I was airing my miscarriage fears to a friend this week saying how common it is & how I had no idea etc etc. she said 'you do know it is common to follow a pregnancy through too though don't you?' Made me think and be more positive.

Sarah563 · 15/06/2015 19:00

thank god - finally found you all. I've just left the June bus as i got my bfp last week; I'm now 4+3 and due on 19 Feb 16

Very excited to be here x

StockingFullOfCoal · 15/06/2015 19:00

As a Mum with a small age gap (2.5 years - although I consider that a standard gap!) I can say - it is most definitely bloody hard work. One of my friends is due to have a 2.5 year gap and she asked me how I managed it... I'll be honest, I shrugged and said "Erm... Coffee?" not helpful But my ex had a 90 hour a week job, was less than useless and walked out when baby was 6 weeks old.

However I look back at it as the most favourite part of my adult life. It was absolutely amazing. Two tiny humans. It was just me and them in our own cosy world. Dishwasher needed stacking? So what, I'll go to bed early instead. Need to hoover? Nah, toddler group then lunch somewhere.

I watched a video of my eldest singing Incy Wincy to my youngest in bed at 4am one morning, in her super high pitched voice, doing all the actions, and baby flapping her arms and grinning. Baby was 4 months old then. I sobbed for a good half hour after.

Okay so now I want two close together again Grin

They sleep in the same bed and are so close. It's such a beautiful relationship to watch.

Mumof1sofar · 15/06/2015 19:01

Welcome newbies!

Yay twins! 4 in the 2 under 2 club & counting...Smile

Primary have you been able to get any reassurance from gp? Sorry can't remember your story - are you having an early scan?

Betty if your gp isn't worried it's probably completely normal. Make sure you get time to rest Smile
