Yep purdie I live in the Middle East, so Sunday is the first day of the week. Hail from Chorley though originally, as I think we once talked about many moons ago.

I told my headmaster. Had to squash it into a 2 minute meeting so was quite nerve wracking. Was good though, he congratulated me and told me not to worry about the job opportunity and that it might crop up again soon, so that was good.

What is everyone's opinion on buying baby clothes before 12 weeks?

PassiveAggressiveSmiley · 14/06/2015 11:44

Oops that was me mumof1, sorry, forgot to say I'd added you!

RhiPea I'm in somerset too Smile

Dp is away this weekend, I've not been sleeping well the past week or so so this morning he text to ask how I'd slept. I said not bad but felt sick in the night and again this morning. He replied telling me not to play on the pregnancy Angry

I think he was joking but it's still annoyed me, am I not allowed to tell him how I'm feeling?

[Overreactionemoticon]

PassiveAggressiveSmiley · 14/06/2015 11:45

Ooh I wonder if that's available as a user name

overreactionemoticon · 14/06/2015 11:48

Yay!

MayFlowers16 · 14/06/2015 12:02

Sending your dh a virtual slap on your behalf passive/overreactive. That would have made me Angry

AbFab glad the meeting went well. I have told my line manager, as I haven't been feeling well at work. It's a relief in some ways to have someone on your side. There's a woman at work in her second trimester and everyone is cooing and fussing over her to make sure she is ok. I feel like shouting "she's in the golden trimester, I'm the one who's feeling crap!" The first few weeks are hard and lonely in some ways

MayFlowers16 · 14/06/2015 12:04

Isla I'm usually ok in the mornings too. I think there are a few of us on here who have afternoon and evening sickness. It's seems quite common. Who knows why it's called morning sickness hey?! Confused

RattyCatty · 14/06/2015 12:05

Hi all!

abfab that's great your head was understanding.

I've just had my midwife booking app at hospital. All fine - urine and blood taken & lots of questions. Because of my long irregular cycles I'm down as being nine weeks, which I'm def not (negative preg tests & was using opks) so the midwife has told me to go to the EPU for a dating scan this FRIDAY to change my dates if needs be. Will be so nervous. All seems so real. I burst into tears after I walked out... Hormones? Overwhelmed or am I just a nutter?!

GoulashSoup · 14/06/2015 12:20

Ratty sorry you are feeling overwhelmed. Hopefully the scan will set everything straight. I'm waiting to have the LMP conversation, my LMP was Feb/March 2012 before I got preg with DS.

Mumof1sofar · 14/06/2015 12:24

Thank you passive Smile Grr Angry on your behalf about dh.

Abfab we bought our first thing for the new baby this morning! Blush We've got a brilliant Tula sling for my dd1 & we bought a newborn insert so I can carry the new bubba from birth Grin

May I totally agree the 1st trimester is harder than the 2nd. Glad we've all got each other for support Smile

Ahh ratty it is really emotional. Good luck for the scan on Fri.

RattyCatty · 14/06/2015 12:27

Thank you goulashsoup and mumof1sofar Smile

GoulashSoup · 14/06/2015 12:29

And Passive not an over reaction at all. If DH sent me a message like that he would quickly learn what an over reaction really looked like though!

MayFlowers16 · 14/06/2015 13:02

Good luck for Friday Ratty. I may have the opposite issue with cycle lengths. Mine are short so I'll probably not be given a scan until I'm around 13 weeks.

NoMontagues · 14/06/2015 13:03

Oh passive I feel your pain. DH was moaning about being tired last night, I wasn't that impressed. I asked him if he thought he might be being a bit insensitive, and he wanted to know why Confused

Seems he has forgotten anything he may have learned in my last pregnancy.

He did get up with DS today while I had a lie in though. So he redeemed himself Grin

MayFlowers16 · 14/06/2015 13:04

Goulash 2012, wow!
Your ds must be a similar age to my dd then ( she's 2.7)

GoulashSoup · 14/06/2015 13:25

I know May, saved a fortune on tampons! DS is 2.5 born towards the end of November.

MayFlowers16 · 14/06/2015 13:30

I bet it did! Are/were you still breastfeeding then? (sorry, I am nosy)
Dd is early Nov, it's a good age gap (I hope!) as she'll be settled into nursery and I won't have to get two children to nap at the same time! Grin

SweetCharlotteRose · 14/06/2015 14:13

Hope I am still ok to post on this thread.
I'm still very anxious and dh is going away now for over a week so I'm scared something will happen whilst he's away. I'm also worrying about my blood sugars.

With regard to symptoms I just feel really woozy and spaced out. Is that normal?

GoulashSoup · 14/06/2015 14:24

Charlotte good to see you back. Sorry that you are still anxious, but everyday the risk of mc decreases and right now you are pregnant.

May, I breastfed, then mini pill and then coil. Had that out at begining of Feb expecting the mother of all periods, but 100 days later nothing and I finally ovulated. I think it is a nice age gap, I'm hoping DS will understand a bit what is going on.

Marsaday · 14/06/2015 14:42

mumo have you tried other carriers than a tula? I wrap but we also have a manduca, oh likes it but im not such a fan. I wanted a wompat but he vetoed it. I wonder if i would prefer a tula...

Mirabal · 14/06/2015 15:05

Good to see you back Charlotte, stay strong. Thanks for adding my details monkerina

That sounds very cheeky passive/overreaction I would have been very grumpy with a comment like that

Bluenewbie · 14/06/2015 15:17

good to hear about your scan Ratty! great news, good luck for Friday!

SweetCharlotteRose · 14/06/2015 15:30

It's good to hear of so many people seeing heartbeats.
Contemplating going for a scan the end of the week if I'm still pregnant.

I know it's a random question but does anyone else find their um chest gets bigger and smaller throughout the day?! Mine is huge in the morning then seems smaller and then huge again by the evening!

Mumof1sofar · 14/06/2015 15:36

Mars I haven't tried a manduca but a Tula is very comfy & easy to use. Do you have a local sling library? You can try them out for free/a small fee if you do.

Bluenewbie · 14/06/2015 15:58

wow sling libraries?! that's amazing Mumof1. good to be here and have a support and knowledge of more experienced mums. It really helps , in choices and in our daily life of newbies who don't know what to expect and what symptoms/lack of them are good or bad sign.

I always wanted to keep my baby very close and loved an idea of sling! didn't know you can actually try it or hire it. I will keep my ears and eyes wide open for recommendations.
Thanks!

Bluenewbie · 14/06/2015 16:01

hello Charlotte!
my breast is bigger/more tender one day and smaller the other.

I would go for the scan as well if it didn't cost £100(here). I hope HCG levels will calm me enough to not consider spending this money.
otherwise it's more than a month to wait..
