Big hugs to Chintaria and a wave to the newbies Smile

Hanquoi, I keep forgetting to say how sorry I am for the loss of your 19-week-old baby. What a tragedy Thanks

My gums are not bleeding, they're just bloody sore. My teeth are already fucked from alcoholism (I'm 4.5 yrs sober); they're white still, but fucked.

Mumof1sofar · 13/06/2015 10:15

Hanquoi so sorry for your loss.

Will have a hunt for the stats. So exciting! Smile

jellypi3 · 13/06/2015 10:42

There's a clickable link a few pages back for the stats the one on the first page didn't copy properly

Thanks purdie & mum

noodle I've been having a similar freaking out, but try and think to yourself that everyday is a treasure and give yourself short term goals and it helps. Also when you have your booking in appointment mention the anxiety, they might be able to help.

ratty, pregnancy sex and masturbation was the best in my life with DS!! I've not had the guts this time to do either but if you've not had previous problems and you're not spotting, go for it. They say that an orgasm is actually good for the baby as there is a rush of blood and nutrients to it. Chances are if something happens if won't have been the orgasm.

brummie in so sorry to hear about your previous miscarriages, but it's great that they're taking it seriously and keeping an eye on you. I absolutely have my fingers crossed for you this time

AbFab86 · 13/06/2015 12:00

Another EDD of 17th February here Smile

I went for my HCG blood test today and it was 240, which the doctor says puts me at 3 weeks. I know I'm over 4 weeks because I took clomid and have monitored my cycle like a hawk. That's made me worry my HCG is low, although various websites say it's not the actual levels that matter but the fact that it is (or isn't) doubling every 72hrs. Can anyone shed any light on that for me? He said I didn't need a 2nd test.

Lamaitresse · 13/06/2015 12:08

Abfab if it makes you feel any better mine at four weeks and a bit weeks was 228. I was v scared it was too low, but am now in hospital as am so sick! Sounds about right to me Smile

Purdie poor you with sore gums! Are you taking a pregnancy vitamin? If not maybe it might help? Also, where are they sore (apologies if you've already said where)? Sometimes sore gums can be caused by stress. I get very sore gums along my top molars when I'm stressed. Never connected the two until an osteopath explained, who knew hey!

Lamaitresse · 13/06/2015 12:10

PS abfab a level of 240 is clearly detectable on a pg test, but at pregnancy at 3 weeks wouldn't be. Think your doctor is confused Confused

purdiepie · 13/06/2015 12:21

Abfab, your GP is a cock. You need a second test to check the levels are doubling; a single test gives only a snapshot of how the HcG stands, not how it is behaving.

Chin, they're sore around my bottom molars and the top two front ones. Blooming awful tenderness, but it can't be pregnancy-related as gum problems only arise from a growing baby nicking our blood supply or summat, right? How are you feeling, love? What's hozzie food like? Hmm

Rufus, hope you get your arse back in Blighty soon where it belongs. Hearing about your sweat-soaked limbs made me feel sick. Well done for getting through it.

Sometimes I can't quite believe my good fortune in getting pregnant at almost 44 with only one fallopian tube, and that's when the doubts creep in and I think it's all going to end. But that doesn't take into account the might of God Smile

purdiepie · 13/06/2015 12:28

I'm 'yardening' today (I have a large back yard, no grass, so it's all container planting. Do excuse the boastful picture) and then making steak 'n' ale casserole with dumplings, roasties, mash & veg.

What are you up to?

February 2016 babies - let the chundering commence
AbFab86 · 13/06/2015 12:32

Thanks all, knew I could count on you lot for a quick response Smile I'm going to go back on Tuesday and have another test (it's private health here so they'll do anything for more money). Lines on HPTs are getting darker and I'm starting to feel hungover and exhausted, so maybe I should take that as a good sign!

Lamaitresse · 13/06/2015 12:33

Purdie could you be clenching your teeth while you're sleeping maybe? Could that be causing it? I get v sore top front teeth/gums when I'm stressed as I very randomly seem to hold my lips tighter Hmm V odd - I have to consciously relax them or it doesn't go away. I wouldn't know re hosp food - am nil by mouth from last vomit for 48 hours so hopefully on Monday I should be able to sample the delights. How's your sickness?

jellypi3 · 13/06/2015 12:33

That sounds awesome purdey. I'm taking DP to golf, then chillin out with a friend. Housework tomorrow because the in laws are visiting and our house is a tip

Love your yard purdie makes me want to come and sit in it Grin

Bluenewbie · 13/06/2015 13:14

Good day to all! And congratulations to all new BFPs Flowers

Symptoms are not coming back, my belly is as flat as it was before all the bloat. Only my breast is still bigger than before.
I tried to find out my HCG levels from the test(to compare and worry more obviously) but (luckily) that was not available yet. My second test is on Monday. Looks like I won't find out the results until Wed at least.
I'm pretty down today because of the whole uncertainty, so don't have any plans for today other then sorting out whatever needs it. Doesn't help that I will be alone. DP is working the whole weekend and we didnt magnage to make any friends here yet(moved 2 months ago).
So you will hear from me today a lot ;) I will try and stay possitive though :)

Rufus I'm glad that the wedding went well and DH helped! So good that you're feeling better.

Warm wishes to all the ladies feeling poorly Flowers

rallytog1 · 13/06/2015 13:15

I'm coming round your place for dinner purdie.

Bluenewbie · 13/06/2015 13:21

nice yard purdie. great job!

Brummiegirl15 · 13/06/2015 13:38

Nice yard Purdie

It's chucking it down in Worcestershire so I've been food shopping as we are to see Jurassic World later.

Did my first injection this morning by myself. Was pretty ouchy!!!

Eminado · 13/06/2015 13:44

Hi sorry for not posting much. I think i am 5 weeks now. Postman brought me a letter with my scan date - end of july. Made my week but time is CRAWLING. How will i wait so long?!

Hope you are all having a good day.

Am off to book club, not sure how to explain why i am not drinking..... While actually DYING to say why!! Might staple my lips together Grin

GoulashSoup · 13/06/2015 13:51

purdie there are all sorts of hormones at work, for example relaxin and growth hormone. It is early to feel the affects of them, but they do things like allow your ribs to expand upwards and hips to loosen. There are often other side effects such as some people's feet grow in pregnancy. It is not as simple as just the baby stealing blood supply. If your teeth continue hurting and you have a history of gum disease or bad teeth it might be worth getting them checked out. You will be entitled to free dental care but I think you have to wait till your card comes through after you've seen the midwife.

GoulashSoup · 13/06/2015 13:52

And nice yard

rallytog1 · 13/06/2015 13:56

We're going to see the dinosaurs tonight too brummie. Dd is having a sleep over with my parents. We're going to an African restaurant too, which I'm now feeling a bit concerned about, given the Nausea That Will Not Die.

Anyone else got anything exciting planned?

Bluenewbie · 13/06/2015 14:04

Eminado I'm 7week now and my scan is only on 21 july. it seems so far away!! I think the fact that when I found out it was already 4weeks, makes things happening so slowly now.

GoulashSoup · 13/06/2015 14:18

Glad you got your appointment through Blue Grin

Mumof1sofar · 13/06/2015 14:45

Abfab hope everything is ok.

Nice yard Purdie.

Wow so exciting to be getting scan dates! I will make an appt with the Dr on mon so I can be referred to the midwife etc.

Bluenewbie · 13/06/2015 14:47

thank you Goulash but it's just the regular appt assigned from the hospital. I need to reschedule as I will be on hols though. Tried yesterday but didn't realise their work day finishes at 4pm! I really hope they will help. I try to get use to the thought of going and announcing the PG to parents without the scan. I just hope the HCG levels will quadruple over the weekend. It will be easier to announce even if still not certain.
