Sorry to hear that montagues, I am sure all will be sorted tonight once you have both had a chance to calm down. xx

Thanks hopit trying to relax and go back to being excited but still cautious.

No sickness here, just sore boobs and tiredness. Anyone else already finding it hard keeping it a secret? I want to shout it from the rooftops! Doesnt feel real unless I can tell everyone about it!

i've told a couple of people already newbie, both sets of parents and my best friend. I've got an early scan booked for 15th June so will tell my boss after that assuming all is ok and then tell the rest of my friends and family at 12 weeks :)

Ah must have been lovely telling people jelly Did it make it all more real?
We are telling my mum next weekend but waiting to tell everyone else till 12 week scan.......don't know how I will wait that long!

Report
jellypi3 · 25/05/2015 12:02

it did make it more real, we only told them because i felt if we do have a MC then i think the grandparents deserve to know, and told my best mate because she knew we were TTC for so long.

12 weeks feels like such a long way away. It feels like ages since I got my BFP, it's only been 5 days!!!!!

We've told both sets of parents and a couple of close friends. All helped us through our MMC earlier in the year so I wanted them to know.

I'm going to see if I get an early scan with EPU (not sure if they do that if you've had a previous mc), if not I'm going to book a private one. Not as early as we did last time as that just caused more heartache.

My boobs are mega sore and the tiredness has hit...

Hope everyone is enjoying the bank hol. BBQs aren't quite the same when I'm sober Grin

I'm petrified of telling my mum - she won't acknowledge my relationship with dp (been nearly 2years) and hasn't met him, even though me and mum are close with everything else. Dreading it so Much :(

Raffertys · 25/05/2015 17:57

Oh no tea that's sad. Why won't your mum acknowledge your relationship? Maybe the baby will change the way she feels?

Report
jellypi3 · 25/05/2015 17:58

:( tea hopefully the prospect of her first grandchild will made her feel different?

Has anyone been having cramps? I've got a bit of a backache too, trying not to google.

Report
teaandcake2016 · 25/05/2015 18:05

Raff and jelly- she really liked my previous partner (he was quiet, reliable, bit of a mummys boy! - my current one is a bit more outgoing to put it nicely). Long back story which I won't bore you with. There are 4 other grandchild from my siblings who she adores. I just hope it's the same for mine.

I had lots of cramps for a week, some really strong, but today nothing at all!

Do any experienced mums know what happens about the doctor/midwife - do I make an appointment? Thanks in advance Smile

Raffertys · 25/05/2015 18:12

tea just make a normal GP appt and tell them you're pg.

Report
jellypi3 · 25/05/2015 18:16

Depends on your area I think. When I went to see the Gp because of my spotting she gave me a number to self refer myself to the MW at my local hospital. But I know others who have been referred by their doctor. Just phone your GP surgery and ask :)

hi! Smile

My main concern is lifting and carrying DS around all the time. He's only 9 and a half months old but he's very big and heavy. Nothing can be done about it though so I'll just have to do my best to lift him safely.

newbie you were right, DH has come home with Flowers

Tea I'm having loads of cramps. Nothing too painful. No spotting though.

This evening I've got a pain in my right ribs. Dr google will have to do.

Raffertys · 25/05/2015 19:00

Dr Google is both the best and worst thing when pregnant isn't it?!

DH is out and DS is in bed so I'm watching back to back Teen Mom on MTV

I've not had nausea yet! Count myself lucky.

Report
Raffertys · 25/05/2015 20:51

With DS the sickness started at 7 weeks and continued until about 13 I think. Only the tiniest waves of nausea so far with this one...my boobs are my main issue at the moment. But I'm not going to moan.

My nausea is always from week 6-9. Absolutely dreading it hitting me! But at least then I will feel pregnant as don't feel anything at all yet.

Evening all.

Tea sorry your mum isn't supportive, perhaps a child and seeing your DP being a good Dad will soften her feelings towards him.
Boo I completely missed about your DS in your first post. I hope he is a tough little thing and that being a big brother will be a good distraction.
I'm so happy not to be vomming yet. I lost loads of weight in the first trimester last time but apart from the odd wave of nausea, so far so good.
We had an awesome day at the museums, DS loved the dinosaurs and the whale at the Natural History museum, then we went round the corner to the science museum for steam engines and rockets then water play and a bubble show. I think it all completely blew his mind. I would highly recommend it. Needless to say I'm more than a bit tired now.
