Roll up roll up, come and join me clutching your BFP and wondering exactly what you've let yourself in for x

In bed with a hot water bottle on my back. Fingers crossed it will be better tomorrow.

I have been doing lots of pelvic floors today too!

twinsandapenguin · 31/05/2015 22:18

Chintaria - I think they are compulsory in pregnancy!

CatnipMouse · 31/05/2015 22:19

Don't say that purdie you're scaring us first timers! Any good websites for info on kegel exercises?

Re the more usual kind of exercises, like Cheesy I'm sticking to walking at the moment. Might do a bit of swimming too. That's what the IVF clinic advised but it probably doesn't apply to normal pregnancies. I am enjoying the excuse for inactivity!

Not feeling at all sick, maybe I'll get away without it?! Does it run in families? My mum didn't suffer much and neither did my sister. I am getting those vague feelings like my period might be on the way but reassuring to hear from you all that this isn't unusual.

goulash I'll pm you

Lamaitresse · 31/05/2015 22:19

PS anyone else have cats? Are they all over you at the mo? Mine haven't left me alone all evening - been sleeping on me and at one point one was licking my neck (weird things Grin)

Lamaitresse · 31/05/2015 22:21

Even so early on twins? Will get working on them then Smile

pretzelpieces · 31/05/2015 22:21

Have fun sparkles, where you off to?

Brummiegirl15 · 31/05/2015 22:22

Blimey 400 posts already?

Can I join? I'm a bit nervous about joining as like Raffertys who I know from the mc boards - I've got previous!!

38 yrs old, no dcs, pregnant for the 4th time after having 3 mc's in the past year so it been a rough time for us.

Am currently 4+2 with an EDD of 5th Feb

Am on progesterone twice daily plus will be having early scans. My first will be at 6 weeks - not necessarily looking for a hb but more checking it's not ectopic as I'll be prescribed daily heparin injections.

Absolutely bricking it doesn't even come close so having weekly acupuncture to manage my crazy anxiety!

Lovely to "meet" you all and hopefully I get to stick around!

pretzelpieces · 31/05/2015 22:25

Welcome brummie and sorry you've had such a difficult time. Everything crossed for you. X

Lamaitresse · 31/05/2015 22:26

Hi brummie, here's hoping for a happy and healthy pregnancy for you Smile
This is my 11th pregnancy (2 dc) so I know where you're coming from. I hope you manage to keep occupied enough so that the next couple of weeks don't drag too much.
Is this the first time you've tried progesterone and heparin? Fingers crossed all your worrying is for nothing Smile

Mawsymoo · 31/05/2015 22:29

Welcome Brummie, I'm on progesterone too - I used it on my last pregnancy and it worked out so here's hoping it does the trick for both of us this time!

Cheesypop · 31/05/2015 22:42

Another progesterone taker here - do others have the delight of Cyclogest wax pessaries twice a day? Blush and I'm on oestrogen as well. I feel for you on Heparin Brummie it can sting a bit. Fingers crossed for all those who have suffered previous losses.

chintaria yes my cats have been all over me, I thought it was just because they realised how much they love me! Are you saying its pheromones and I'm not the cat whisperer? Grin

Brummiegirl15 · 31/05/2015 22:43

Thanks ladies. Yep first time on progesterone. Went to to the Coventry implantation clinic - recommended to me by the awesome ladies on the recurrent mc thread so have done 200mg twice daily from 7 days post ov and it's been immediately increased to 400mg twice daily from BFP.

Was my first attempt after a forced 4 month break for testing, endometrial scratch and a hysteroscopy. All tests completely clear, been warned I could still have a 4th mc but there isn't anything physically wrong with me so hoping this is the one!

Heparin will start from my 6 week scan... Not looking forward to daily injections in my tummy but needs must and all that!

Great to see so many of you! Previous threads I've joined have always been quite slow to get going. Need to read back and read everyone's story. I see there is a spreadsheet, if someone could add me that would be great Smile

I'm in Worcestershire by the way!

Mawsymoo · 01/06/2015 01:49

Cyclogest here too Cheesy - I'm using them as suppositories rather than pessaries as I had a bleed last time and had to switch and it's actually much easier and less messy.

Brummie - poor you - you're going to have a bruised tum from the heparin but hopefully it will all be worth it!

I've a bit of insomnia here Confused I slept for a few hours and now I'm wide awake Sad

Raffertys · 01/06/2015 06:10

Hey brummie! So good to see you here. Really hoping you have a very happy and healthy pregnancy Flowers

On behalf of my big toe, thank you for all the kind words Grin

Speaking of pelvic floors and kegels, is your pelvic floor only affected by a vaginal delivery? DS was 10lb 4oz delivered by EMCS after induction, 48 hour established labour and an hour of pushing before they realised he was huge and I seem to have a very strong bladder / floor, all things considered. This is not a stealth boast, I promise. I am genuinely intrigued.

nightandthelight · 01/06/2015 06:25

Fx for a healthy pregnancy brummie!

My cats won't leave me alone :) Although one just trampled all over my tummy which has worried me :(

rallytog1 · 01/06/2015 06:37

My pelvic floor was very affected by a cs Raffertys. It may be a story for another day (or a pm!) as it's not the most pleasant of tales. But it's definitely a myth that having a cs is a way to avoid pelvic floor issues.

Welcome to everyone new! I'm struggling to keep up now, so thankful we have our trusty spreadsheet on the go.

purdiepie · 01/06/2015 06:48

Brummie and Chin Thanks

My cats are certainly not being demonstrative. They were very upset when we brought a baby home and have never really recovered from the rejection, so I doubt they'll be doing a merry jig over this interloper Hmm

purdiepie · 01/06/2015 06:51

I actually find my destroyed pelvic floor a constant source of frustration. I puss when I jump, cough, sneeze, dance, chuck the tot around and run. I did levels throughout my pregnancy and yoga until the birth, but all to no avail..

purdiepie · 01/06/2015 06:53

*puss = piss
*levels = kegels

Lamaitresse · 01/06/2015 07:04

Morning all Smile Have woken up feeling pretty dire this morning, bleurgh. All very reassuring but a real pain all the same. Going on last pregnancies after a few days I won't be able to talk without puking so will try to get some better meds today.
Anyone else feeling terrible?

purdie how old are your cats? Ours are only 4 months, they haven't a clue what's coming Grin Yy re pelvic floors, bain of my life... After having a baby in Belgium you get 9 sessions of physio purely devoted to pelvic floors. Great idea hey except I only made it to three, oops! Need to try and remember exactly what they said!

Have a good day all Smile

jellypi3 · 01/06/2015 07:06

I had my 7kg cat kamakazee onto my stomach a few weeks ago Hmm

I think the nausea set in today, I woke up feeling like chundering over my Wheetabix, and really struggled to swallow it down. Fun times.

Lamaitresse · 01/06/2015 07:20

Poor you jelly you have my sympathies.

Night our little ones are pretty well protected in there so probably won't even feel a cat jumping on your tummy. At least I hope not - mine were using mine as a springboard the other night Hmm

rallytog1 · 01/06/2015 07:26

chintaria and jelly, sorry to hear you've got the sickness, but on the plus side, it's generally a good sign that things are progressing well. Hope it's not as bad for you as it was last time chintaria.

One of my 3 cats is constantly sitting on my tummy at the moment. Interestingly, he's the only one of them that shows any affection towards my 2yo dd. The other two won't go near her.

nightandthelight · 01/06/2015 08:01

Thanks for the reassurance chintaria :)

nightandthelight · 01/06/2015 08:26
