mrsfaz and sleepy I have a cautiously excited dh - he talks to Bean every day and tells him how much he loves him and needs him to grow big and strong. It melts my heart!

Tonicandgin · 20/05/2015 13:39

Sleepydragon-I'm so glad you said that, I've been absolutely freezing (!) and I didn't remember that from dd. Didn't realise it was a symptom.

I am looking forward to the stupidly warm period of being heavily pregnant being in winter rather than summer this time.

kep1979 · 20/05/2015 14:11

tonic I'm looking forward to that too - my two boys are both July babies!

brickiemum2 · 20/05/2015 14:23

Glad you got your 3+ kep Grin

I've not had such a fabulous day. Spotting when I wipe and cramps with a strong pain on one side. Phoned epu and I'm getting scanned tomorrow at 12:40.

Brickie hope you are ok Flowers

Hello ladies, it's good to be back! Had an exam last week so had to drag myself away from this thread. FYI - doing a 3-hour exam with cramps and a bladder the size of a pea is not ideal!

Kep I have found myself in exactly the same position as you. 2 weeks ago my EPU were concerned that my HCG levels were low for someone at c. 5 weeks. Although blood tests showed they were rising, I've been worried about the fact they are low (I think memories from my MC in March have added to my concern). I've therefore been monitoring them using CB digis and finally this morning I got my "3+ weeks" - I'm very relieved! Smile I'm also now past the stage at which I miscarried in March, which feels good. I just need to sit back and relax now (no more POAS) until my early scan at the EPU next Thurs (28th). This week is dragging though!

Symptom-wise, my cramps have subsided slightly (only on and off now) and I'm not suffering too much. Am struggling to sleep past about 6am in the morning (v. frustrating) but tend to hit a wall about 10pm after which I'm no good to anyone. I also get cold very easily in the evenings - glad to hear I'm not the only one!

Am loving this thread and the number of new joiners (congrats!). Hope everyone is having a good day Smile

Keeping everything crossed Brickie Flowers

EdgarAllenPoe · 20/05/2015 14:28

I added some stats but it must have gotten lost in the last thread.

EdgarAllenPoe
EDD 10/01/2015
This is my first pregnancy.
TTC: 2 months
No scans or booking in booked as the NHS doesn't give out midwife numbers here, I've got to wait to week 10 for them to ring me. I think I'm getting repetitive, but it's really annoying me!

kep1979 · 20/05/2015 14:32

brickie I hope everything is OK, will be thinking of you Flowers

Blue - We sound very similar. I miscarried in March too - will hit the point I miscarried next Monday, so will feel better when I get past that point. Well done on your 3+ weeks Smile How far along are you? I can't sleep past 6 either... I'm usually a lazy bum so this is a nasty shock! I am the same with needing to sleep early too. I am always freezing anyway, so still attached to a blanket and snuggly pjs after work!

mrsfazruns · 20/05/2015 14:33

Kep1979 that is so cute!! When I said to DH this morning "I'm getting fat" his reply was "that's our baby ... Not fat!!" I thought that was lovely!!

Brickie hope your ok and all goes well tomorrow x

Today I decided to pee on an OPK just to test the fact!! Best positive IVE ever had on an opk in my whole ttc life lol

LOL mrsf great opk Smile

hobbitbaby · 20/05/2015 14:44

Hi all, congratulations! Can I join too?

Stats are:

Hobbitbaby
Age 38
EDD 13/01/2016
2nd Pregnancy DS5
TTC - happy accident
Booking Appt 28/05
Number of tests done: 8 (and still resisting urge to do more)

Have had the sore boobs, and odd bouts of nausea but mainly just so tired and generally tucked up in bed by 9pm. Have currently got a nasty cold and feeling sorry for myself as I can't take lots of lovely drugs. Also, the not telling is killing me! Can I wait another 6 wks - probably not! Have got a mini bump too so no way this is going to stay hidden that long without the wearing of some major tentage.

BlueEspoir · 20/05/2015 14:52

Kep This was our first cycle of trying again after the mc and AF was due on Friday 1 May. Tested early (too impatient!) and then again on the 1 May but nothing. Had awful cramps that weekend and tested again on Sunday but still nothing. So booked a GP appointment for the following Wed - on the morning of the appointment I did another test "just in case" and got my BFP. But that was nearly a week after AF was due to arrive. So I have concluded that perhaps my cycle hadn't quite settled back down after my mc and I in fact ovulated later, which would explain the late BFP and low HCG levels. By LMP, I am 6+6 today but going by my HCG blood test last week I'm probably closer to 5+6. I'm hoping the EPU will be able to give me a better idea of how far along I am at the scan next week. Have you felt the same this time as you did last time? One thing I'm struggling with is my tendency to compare my symptoms to last time but then I remind myself that my other pregnancy is probably not a good point of comparison.

I'm also usually a pro at lie-ins so this waking up at the crack of dawn malarkey is quite strange! I've been trying to make the most of it and go swimming every morning before work.

Joey0805 · 20/05/2015 15:17

7 weeks today here and just back from my early scan; all the right size and a really strong heartbeat! DH is delighted, I'm kind of terrified as this is now so real. Weirdest thing ever seeing the little blob up on the screen, beating away!

Joey0805 · 20/05/2015 15:18

Ps; EDDIE confirmed as 6th Jan.

Pps; my nails are super strong too, weird!

SleepyDragon · 20/05/2015 15:18

tonic i only realised becasue i googled it to be honest, i'm a really warm person so i was expecting to be passing out with the heat but i was shivering like mad. DH even got concerned last night as i was wearing a hoodie curled up in front of the TV. Turns out loads of people have the freezing cold thing as your body sometimes goes into overdrive trying to cool you down from all the blood rushing 'down there'!

kep i agree, it makes me grin just seeing DH face light up whenever i mention anything, even if i just rub my tummy he is all concern!

Feels so weird being pregnant but not officially so.... i'm giddy about being able to say i am 6 week tomorrow but i don't even get to see the GP/Midwife until 5 June and that will be at the booking appointment, no frist off appointments for me Envy

goodnessgraciousgouda · 20/05/2015 15:23

sleepy and Tonic - Yes!!! Feeling freezing definitely IS a thing!!! I had that all the way through from about 4.5 weeks to 5.5 weeks. It's only gone away the last few days, but at least it's gone!

hobbit - yes, the waiting. I sympathise. At first I was really happy saying nothing, as it was like our own little secret, but now I really want to tell my family. I'd rather do it in person though, so have to wait until I next see them in the summer (conveniently at week 15).

Has anyone been crying a lot more recently? I don't normally cry that much but jesus. It's not constant, but I've certainly noticed some epic mood swings.

parsnipbob · 20/05/2015 15:40

Joey what lovely news!

kep1979 · 20/05/2015 16:08

blue I'm 5+4 so close to you, it was our first proper cycle after the mc too. I was very shocked, as it took 29 cycles to get the first BFP.

joey yay that is great news Smile

brickiemum2 · 20/05/2015 16:26

joey that's fabulous news.
blue if you go by your late ovulation date your are due on the same day as sleepy and I (maybe more? Not sure lol)

littlebunny are your any good at Google docs? If so we could put all of our stats onto a spreadsheet...might be easier to maintain?

SleepyDragon · 20/05/2015 17:42

brickie and blue - yay! due date pals! lol!

SleepyDragon · 20/05/2015 17:42

does anyone else keep having really random moments where this feels like a dream and its not really happening?

Blimeygirl · 20/05/2015 17:53

Blue I'm totally with you about the waking up at 6am! I normally love a lie in and have tried everything to make myself lie in and nothing has worked! Also yes to the being freezing in the evenings have been sat there with a big blanket on!

Lookingforadvice123 · 20/05/2015 18:49

Wow a new thread and already 5 pages full! blackandwhite and brickie hope all is ok with you both.

Great news on the early scan joey! How far along are you?

I'm still undecided on the early scan, I'm a nervous wreck already at 7+2 so really I should have one or it'll be a long almost five weeks!

Those of you who are relaxed, I'm so jealous! Wish I could just be normal I'm sure there's some women who assume they're fine if no sinister signs and happily wait for their 12 week scan, rather than convince themselves that something will go wrong like me! Teach me your wisdom.
