Hi, I got left behind on the old thread! (And missed off the stats - this is DC3 for us, due around 11th Jan I think).

I have no symptoms except extreme, horrendous tiredness. I don't even feel queasy any more which is worrying but I have my early scan (previous ectopic) at the end of the week so am hoping we will find out either way then.

Am off to bed! But will try to catch up tomorrow. Good luck to those that have scans in the next couple of days.

wlrg14 · 19/05/2015 21:06

Loveulots- I think iv seen that place in Canterbury, it looks ok from the outside but haven't heard much about it! Smile

Definitely getting this bloating thing, the top of my stomach seems to be harder than the rest though?! But I look about 6 months pregnant Blush

brickiemum2 · 19/05/2015 21:10

I love blue steak. Scare it with the flame and check it's not mooing. I'm going to go with the advice that applies to other non-cooked meat like Parma ham and chorizo....nhs says freeze for 4 days and that will kill the risk of toxo. I'm happy with that.
I've not got any form of bump etc....more a general fat muffin top that my trousers are accentuating beautifully Hmm

wlrg14 · 19/05/2015 21:25

Aha brickiemum I think that's probably the case here with the bump and I'm just being optimistic about my spare tyre! Grin

Blimeygirl · 19/05/2015 21:34

Ah ha I found you! Yep am with those feeling knackered and ready to puke! But the nausea only seems to be really bad in the evenings so I suppose that's something! My mum did laugh earlier when I said it's not morning it's evening sickness!
So also after whinging about my dh not making the scan he has been into work today and just told them he's having time off! (He did have to tell senior people why but they were just really happy!)
How are you ladies managing to keep the nausea at bay?

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 19/05/2015 21:46

Blimey I heard peppermint was meant to be good for nausea so at work I've been sucking on polo mints! It did the trick somewhat, as well as trying to stay well hydrated (can be difficult to find time to drink enough on a busy day in the NHS)

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 19/05/2015 21:46

I will add too, that I've not had full on sickness yet so no idea how I'll cope with that if/when it appears!

I learned this morning not to take my vitamins on an empty stomach lol. Polo mints help me at work.

OP posts:
Blimeygirl · 19/05/2015 21:54

Thanks maybe and brickie will try mints! Staying hydrated has helped as has some home made ginger, lemon and cucumber water. Have chopped up a load of ginger slices to put in water to make it easier as well!

Blimeygirl · 19/05/2015 21:55

Oh and to add to my stats
Scan 26th June and location West Yorkshire

parsnipbob · 19/05/2015 22:10

Yep my 'bump' is definitely just a muffin top, sadly :)

loveulotslikejellytots · 19/05/2015 22:20

I'm definitely more bloated. Although, if anyone had just over heard my conversation with DH they would have been a bit confused! I was slumped down on the sofa, which meant my top had ridden up and my belly was poking out.

DH: your stomach is definitely bigger. Maybe not bigger, but more rounded.
Me: Aww, thanks Smile

So weird that it's classed as a compliment now!

Strong mints are helping a bit with nausea here. And sipping really cold water. What did not help is I've suddenly noticed my colleague (sits next to me twice a week) has a bit of a personal hygiene problem by about 3pm. I think his deodorant has worn off. Plus he had cheese and onion sandwiches for lunch, then came to sit with me to go through 5 reports. I had to keep excusing myself and popping to the corridor for fresh air, but we were working from my screen so he kinda has to lean across to see, I sit by a wall so no where to go. I didn't want him to notice though because he's actually quite a nice guy, just needs a freshen up after lunch though.

waitingforwombat · 19/05/2015 22:27

Wow, we talk a LOT!! Just to update stats my edd is 15th Jan (from ovulation, 8 th from lmp so I suspect will get my scan at 11 weeks as nhs clearly don't trust me to understand my own cycles!!).

I'm feeling worryingly fine at 5 + 4, def feeling sick and sore boobs this time last time. Ridiculous to wish I was feeling worse! Lots of bloating and ibs symptoms though. Cramping too, but trying to be rational and remember lots of that is normal and ibs doesn't help.

So trying to be sensible and rational and calm... But totally failing!!!! Constant worry about having some symptoms, worry about not having others, and lots knicker checking ( ahem dampness doesn't help that paranoia.....)

But you ladies are helping me realise I might be irrational but at least I'm not unusual!!!!

littlebbunny · 19/05/2015 22:34

@ Maybemrsmum - I haven't had much of the ms, or sore boobs, just insomnia, moods and my heighten sense of smell especially with smoke. I get sick driving on the road because I can smell all the smoke from exhaust pipes. Then the worst is the smell of cigarettes, I can hardly breath.

coffeenut · 19/05/2015 23:14

I need to pick up some strong mints - thanks for the tip

I take my multivits at night - helps to take them on a full stomach.

Re stats - thanks Bunny. This is dc3 for me. Did mummyofone do a stats spreadsheet in the end?

horseylady that's what I keep thinking!

Chip86 · 20/05/2015 01:51

Thank you for the new thread brickie
And wow thank you for all the stats bunny amazing
I can't sleep hence stupid o'clock post plus feel so sick, have felt hungover and so moody all day, I would not want to live with me, poor DH
I got my NHS card today yay free prescriptions and dentist Grin

brickiemum2 · 20/05/2015 06:49

According to the link posted on the previous thread I have finally dipped below a 10% risk of mc today. Not sure how accurate it is but I'll use it to talk myself down from the abject panic which is a daily feature of my day until my early scan.

OP posts:
brickiemum2 · 20/05/2015 06:50

Oh, and I've woken up to a totally spotty cleavage. Charming! Hmm
