Hi all, can I join? I've been lurking for a couple of days (I found out on Tuesday). I did a test a few weeks ago and it was neg but this week I started feeling sick so POAS and it was positive. As my periods are very irregular (between 6-12 weeks) I'm just going with as I'm feeling sick it's probably about 5 weeks. This will be DC3 but DH had wanted to wait another year or so to TTC so I haven't told him yet...

Had booking in yesterday and midwife not happy we have changed to a different hospital, she rushed appointment and loads of my notes were fitted in wrong eg share said no to blood transfusion, we said yes, said last pregnancy was 10 years ago (ds is 15 month) when she should have ticked mother has had pre-eclampsia,said English wasn't my first language.....

Also touch of brown spotting and cramping yesterday. Hope it's just breakthrough bleeding.

Nightmare cubano glad you are getting someone else and hope the spotting is nothing serious. Apparently the hospital wrote that I had a normal birth on my notes - umm no, there were 6 of you in there and I had rather a lot of intervention!

Welcome bee Congratulations. when are you going to tell DH? I was a bit worried about telling mine but he was great and said he had guessed already. Hope yours is the same.

cubano I'm sure its not unusual to have that at this stage - I had it with DD2, although it does give you a fright.

Lilliana I'm just going to wait until he unavoidably finds out I think (my MW appointments are being posted to me in the next couple of weeks and DH always opens my mail)

So sorry Parsnip. It's an awful thing to go through. I miscarried in July 2014, pretty much matches what you have said, I had been all excited to get my 3 weeks on a CB digi, and was taken aback when it said 1-2 weeks, tried to put it out of my mind but then started cramping and bleeding that day. I remember it being awful and feeling powerless to stop it. Please take care of yourself.

Know it's hard to think of now, but I hope it's some consolation to know just 28 days after my mc bleeding started I got another BFP, and the result of that one is currently having a lie in in his room.

bee welcome! You're not telling DH till he reads it in a letter? So you think he will react badly?
cubano v bad service!!! You should report that. Poor notes in medical care can have v serious consequences!!!

parsnip I'm so sorry. I hope dp and family/friends are supporting you. We're always here too Flowers

As impatiently said you can try again as soon as you feel ready, before the scan yesterday dh and I had already decided we'd try straight away. For some I think it helps, but others need to take some time. Everyone's different.

Good luck parsnip - will you still be doing your blood tests for hcg levels on saturday? That should be able to give you a definitive answer at least.
