So pleased for you looking, what a relief.

AlohaMama · 28/05/2015 13:33

Sorry for those with bad news Flowers

But great news looking. Glad things ate looking up for you.

Who was asking about telling work? My last 2 DC I had to say really early, maybe 6 weeks? First one I was mid way thru dive training and had to discontinue. 2nd, work were planning scheduling for travel and fieldwork (work at sea) and it would have mucked then about if they planned for me to be there. Plus I had Dr advice to avoid heavy lifting, so had to let work know why other people had to lift equipment for me. As it was I had no problems with those pregnancies, but still prob would have waited if I could. It totally depends on your individual work situation I think. Now I'm a sahm the only people it affects are my 2 DC and sadly I don't see them giving me any time off Grin

AlohaMama · 28/05/2015 13:36

And maybe stupid q, what is CRL?

moonshine25 · 28/05/2015 13:39

What fab news looking - bet it was amazing to hear the heart beat!! Try not to worry now as lots of people don't have nausea. Mine is only very slight and when I haven't eaten. Really hope all goes well and the spotting stops!

I feel like I'm putting weight on so quickly already and I'm only 6 weeks! Just constantly feeling hungry which isn't ideal but I know I'm lucky with no sickness - yet!

goodnessgraciousgouda · 28/05/2015 13:40

Looking - that's brilliant news!! So happy for you. I think you need to just take a deep breath and let the adrenaline wear off. It's fantastic that you have seen the heartbeat. Maybe try and find some comfort in that, rather than switching to something new to worry about! I have a friend who is nearly six months along now - perfectly healthy pregnancy - and she had no nausea at all.

Parsnip - I love you, but you seriously need to stop with the near constant cb testing. All you are doing is making yourself miserable and stressed out. There is no point to it. Why are you doing it to yourself? cb's are only pregnancy tests - I think many people have reiterated this now in the last two threads, but they aren't supposed to be used as hcg measures. I KNOW how stressful and worrying it is, but if something bad is going to happen, then it's going to happen, no matter how many tests you take. At this rate you are going to spend your entire pregnancy in a state of near constant panic. The first trimester, then potential problems with the baby, then something else, then something else....

So I say this with nothing but kindness, but STOP STRESSING ABOUT EVERY SINGLE BLOODY THING AND CHILL. Grin

ValancyJane · 28/05/2015 13:42

looking I've kept checking back for an update since I read your post earlier - I'm so pleased to hear it's good news for you! :)

parsnip I don't know how accurate CBD actually are, but I googled it (bet you have as well!) and a lot of ladies seem to have had similar, and the usual things about dilute urine / not being best time of day etc will still apply. Have you got an appointment with your GP/midwife coming up that you could mention it at if you're really worried? Hopefully all's fine though. (I was tempted to buy one of those the other day as I should get a 3+ at this stage (I'm 5+4) but figured I'd just freak out if it didn't come up with 3+ so left it!)

loveulotslikejellytots · 28/05/2015 13:49

So pleased for you looking!!

Parsnip! Step away from the digis!!! You're only going to worry yourself more when you don't get the result you want. I know it's hard, are you having an early scan?

mrschatty · 28/05/2015 13:59

looking wonderful news so glad to hear that
parsnip step away from the digital notoriously bad and not accurate indicators of 'how pregnant' you are
aloha I was asking g about telling work- thanks for reply- told my boss he was GREAT honestly what a star!! Star even asked if I'd thought about what pt hours I'd like!!!

Juniper44 · 28/05/2015 14:11

Lilliana maybe you could ask to do ppa cover / interventions from September? At least that way you won't be leaving a class a term in. That's what I do since having DD; I'm a special needs intervention teacher. It'll be inconvenient for them when I leave, but the interventions can be picked up by someone else (especially if I do all the assessments / planning before I go).

I'm not going to tell my school until after my 8 week scan. Can't really wait for 12 week as it'll nearly be summer and I suspect I'll be showing before then! I had to swap to maternity trousers at 11 weeks last time. I'm 'petite' (ie a short arse) so I guess my bump has nowhere to hide!

So glad to hear there's a heartbeat, Looking! You must be beyond relieved.

parsnipbob · 28/05/2015 14:15

Thank you everyone for a kick up the bum which I needed. Urine was fairly dilute as hadn't had much to drink, but on the other hand had only been to the loo an hour ago.

I have an early scan booked for 11 June when I'll be 7+1.

The Internet is full of people saying the CB digis aren't reliable, so am clinging on to that!

MissMartin1992 · 28/05/2015 15:07

thanks parsnip think im going to get the early scan just checked its only £65 up here in Manchester Grin just gtta persuade dp as he's not for it. .i just wanna check the baby is in the right place .. i have a weird thing about eptopic! Confused

parsnipbob · 28/05/2015 15:31

Well I've started having very sharp pains on one side and bleeding. Spoken to GP and they're trying to send me for an early scan today. Will update everyone when I can.

MissMartin1992 · 28/05/2015 15:34

oh no parsnip i hope ur okay! i had break through bleeding last week followed by bad pains in the left had side of my stomach for 2 days now it's gone.. i never knew what it was probably trapped wind.. i have my fx your okay xx

Lookingforadvice123 · 28/05/2015 15:37

parsnip good luck and fingers crossed for you, I'm recent proof that it can mean nothing bad. The sonographer thought all my pains could be related to the cyst, and the type of cyst I have is very, very common.

Xx

EdgarAllenPoe · 28/05/2015 15:41

I think parnsip needs to pretend it's lent and she's given up poas!

The temptation to poas was very strong up until about 5 weeks. After three positive tests spread over a week (between week 4 and 5) I told myself, I'm definitely pregnant, but if something were to go wrong there is literally nothing anyone could do about it at this stage. So no point in testing anymore as it won't give me any additional information. Waiting (impatiently) for my 12 week scan and crossing my fingers.

Easier said than done, I know. I'm clinging to the idea that we'll be ready to pop before we know it, and we'll read this back and wonder where the time went. Mark my words!

EdgarAllenPoe · 28/05/2015 15:42

Didn't see your most recent message parsnip. I hope everything is fine for you, at least the scan should give you some solid information!

Bovnydazzler · 28/05/2015 15:42

parsnip really sorry to hear your latest update, glad they've got you in an early scan, really hope it goes okay, sending loads of good wishes.

looking that's fab news! You must have been so excited when you saw the heartbeat and not what you were fearing. Defo you can relax (as much as one can!) now for a couple of weeks at least.

Well I'm waiting for my initial midwife appointment, she's running late. Will be interested to see whether she dates it from ov or LMP.

missmartin do you mind advising where in Manchester is a private scan £65? I've only found one (s Manchester) for £89?

Oysterbabe · 28/05/2015 16:00

Oh parsnip Sad I really hope all is well.
These are such a difficult few months for us all. Stay strong lovelies Thanks

ValancyJane · 28/05/2015 16:02

parsnip I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you, it's good you're getting a scan today so at least you should get answers. Hope all's well for you and it's nothing serious.

Have had some nausea today, but did eat an enormous pile of nachos for lunch (atrocious I know, but I normally eat healthily and I'm on holiday from work!) so think that's probably the culprit! Slightly unrelated, but I'm having a mini freak out as a tooth that needs work doing and has for awhile has started giving me a bit of niggling pain on and off. I am massively dentist phobic even though my dentist is a lovely, patient man, a trip there usually involves a few valium, hysterical crying and migraines afterwards, so really can't imagine trying to go to the dentist while pregnant and maintain calm and low blood pressure!! Must admit I've skived the last few times I was meant to go. My own fault really, fingers crossed it stays away!

OTheHugeManatee · 28/05/2015 16:08

Hope everything is OK parsnip Flowers

BlueEspoir · 28/05/2015 16:15

Hello ladies. Good news at my end - I went for my early scan this morning and saw a beautiful little bean with a good strong heartbeat and a yolk sac bigger than the bean's head! It was a lovely sight to see after a few stressful months. The bean is still very small (about 6mm) so the midwife has put my EDD back to 19 January based on today's measurements. Clearly I ovulated later than my LMP would suggest, which explains my low HCG levels early on. So, all in all, DH and I are very happy and relieved. I asked the midwife again about my cramps and she reassured me again that it is totally normal.

It looks like I need to identify some new EDD buddies - 19 Jan anyone?!

Looking - great news that all is ok.

Parsnip - my fingers are crossed, let us know how the scan goes.

MissMartin1992 · 28/05/2015 16:18

Brilliant news Blue, how many weeks/months does that make you now?
