brickie mrsfaz crumble;thank you all....
I've only been there 4/5 months do you think they will be piss*d?
I left my prev employment in Dec started new job in jan- prev job was v high pressured management job in finance- was struggling to concieve- long hours long commute etc. Tbh in my new job I'm not management now- general team member in an insurance assessor role so it's not going to have a massive impact when I go- but still it's early days still not passed probation! X

Coffee lovely news about the scan.

Flowers to all those with bad news, thinking of you.

I'm a PA and told my line manager and my boss yesterday, both extremely lovely and supportive. I figured, like with family, I'll need understanding and support at work if something does go wrong.

brickiemum2 · 28/05/2015 09:55

mrsc it matters not a jot if they are pissed or not. I'm assuming that part of your reason for changing jobs was to aid conception and it's worked! I can also assume that you are vastly overqualified for your new role and they should be bloody grateful to have you Grin They cannot use you're pregnancy to evaluate your future in the role or the outcome of your probation. That would be illegal.

parsnip that's good I'm sure mine will be fine- direct manager is a dad who made it clear him and the Mrs planning #2 senior manager is a mum of 2. So its not a baby free zone...

Flowers Mama and Brew

Fingers crossed Dobby and Wombat

Great news on your scan coffee

Teenie I wake up starving too, at 5am, and can't decide whether to get up and eat something (and then not be able to go to sleep again for at least an hour - I'd get indigestion if I laid down afterwards) or to live with it, knowing that I'll feel sick when I get up at a normal time. So far I've done the latter!

Then when I do have breakfast, I can only eat half of it. Confused

Love being pregnant though Smile

parsnipbob · 28/05/2015 10:05

I'm loving it too black and white but I'm so impatient I hate waiting around for stuff to happen! Have my early private scan on 11 June and can't wait but at the same time feel ridiculously scared. It would help if I had more symptoms - my only one at the moment is slightly sore boobs.

MissMartin1992 · 28/05/2015 10:12

how much do private scans cost?

aww that's great news about your scancoffee Grin

MissMartin1992 · 28/05/2015 10:13

yay! to drinking as much tea as i want now tesco have delivered my decaf bags Brew

parsnipbob · 28/05/2015 10:24

Miss martin mine is costing £99 but I'm in London so I suspect it's more expensive. I think others have paid £70-£85 or so.

I've been having two cups of regular tea a day and the rest decaf. I also had a very tiny glass of bubbly last night as I totally forgot I wasn't supposed to be drinking! Now feel very cross with myself.

Lookingforadvice123 · 28/05/2015 10:26

I'm 99% sure I'm out. Red bleed last night, cramps and disappearing symptoms which this morning is slight brown blood and definite lower back cramps. Still no symptoms. Luckily a private scan company can see us this morning so we'll have an answer.

I really thought I'd hit a mile stone at 8 weeks gone.

Good luck everyone Flowers

I was going to wait until my scan to tell my boss. I might bring that forward (to today). We currently have a fab temp helping me out at the moment, we are pushing to extend her contract for a bit longer until December. I really want to tell my boss so that she can start planning for my mat leave, and hopefully keep the temp on to cover me! I know she would be fantastic, but I really don't think another 5 weeks will hurt. I'm lucky that I work in a very family friendly environment, so it won't cause too many problems.

I'm also loving being pregnant. Very lucky so far, no sickness, lots of nausea and absolutely starving in the mornings. Also loving the change to DH. He was always very hands on at home, but we split tasks 50/50. Now it's more like 90/10, he won't even let me lift the Hoover! I'm sure he'll get tired of that though, it's a long time until January!!! Grin

loveulotslikejellytots · 28/05/2015 10:35

So sorry looking, I didn't see your message before you posted. Sending you a big hug Thanks

parsnipbob · 28/05/2015 10:44

MissMartin1992 · 28/05/2015 10:46

Oysterbabe · 28/05/2015 10:56

I'll be telling work after 12 week scan. I'll tell them by bouncing into the office and telling them that I'm having a year off whilst smiling with glee.
I hate my job. Grin

coffeenut · 28/05/2015 10:57

Oysterbabe · 28/05/2015 10:58

goodnessgraciousgouda · 28/05/2015 11:34

Good luck with the scan looking - I hope it's good news for you.

coffeenut · 28/05/2015 12:02

Thinking of you looking Sad I hope the scan shows all is okay Sad

coffeenut · 28/05/2015 12:10

Sad my internet has been playing up and I actually posted about the crl hours and hours ago before you posted looking - sorry it looks like I was being very insensitive with the timing as there's obviously been a delay in posting to the thread. I hope you're okay.

ValancyJane · 28/05/2015 12:16

Oh no looking I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping it's just a scare.

crumble74 · 28/05/2015 12:33

looking Thinking of you, hope the scan shows all is ok Flowers

parsnipbob · 28/05/2015 13:11

Feeling very down. Just did a cb digi and it still says 1-2 weeks. Am 5+2 today so surely it should be at least 2-3 by now :(

Lookingforadvice123 · 28/05/2015 13:13

It's good news! For today at least. We could hear the heartbeat straight away, the sonographer said all looks fine with the baby/sac etc so the bleed isn't coming from there, and nothing had moved down so no threat of mc (for now at least). She said the bleeding is likely to be from the cervix, a cervical erosion or similar, and I have a "simple cyst" on my left ovary which is most likely causing the cramps but which isn't really anything to worry about.

The relief was just amazing I had tears lying there and then!

I'm still going to worry especially as I still don't have nausea, and there's still spotting (more like brown discharge now) but they do say the risk of mc drops significantly after seeing a heartbeat at 8 weeks don't they?

I didn't get given a crl (didn't think to ask) but I was measuring 8 weeks 1 day which she said is great as it's almost what I thought based on LMP (8 weeks 3 days).
