Been lurking a little while but hope you don't mind me joining....it was Orange Valancy Blimey saying LGI/Jimmy's that prompted me! I'll be LGI too!

EDD 16/1/2015. Will be a 10 year age gap from DS1, and I've forgotten everything im sure. I'm permanently shattered and my boobs have gone to a H - H for humongous!!! Mortified when measured but my they are so comfortable. I know I'm lucky not to have sickness but I keep convincing myself i'm not pregnant as no obvious symptoms. I've got my booking in apt next Monday so ready to get the ball rolling Smile

ValancyJane · 26/05/2015 15:28

Hi Jelly and congratulations! I remember you from the JS-ing threads, was briefly on there and lurked most of the time. Glad to see you over here :)

Same Welcome and congratulations - the Northerners are taking over mwahahaha! ;) You sound similar to me, I don't really have any major symptoms aside from shattered and sleeping all the time and my GG boobs are already growing at an alarming rate!

SameAsYou · 26/05/2015 15:31

valancy I had DS1 at LGI and had the most positive experience and I was in 10 days from start of induction to after CS. I had a male midwife and I couldn't speak highly enough of every aspect.

Fast forward two years and my friend had the worst experience ever, I almost wouldn't have believed her if I hadn't witnessed it. Speaking to others over the years its a real 50/50 opinion split between friends. I'm hoping that things will be just as good for me again!

jellypi3 · 26/05/2015 15:31

hey valancy :) didn't realise you were on here, quite a few js'ers in january.

I also have no symptoms apart from very sore boobs and tiredness. But i'm very early on so you never know.

Had MW phone me up today to book booking appointment!

parsnipbob · 26/05/2015 15:51

Welcome all newbies!!

Lookingforadvice123 · 26/05/2015 16:27

Hi jelly [waves]

Blackandwhitecat3 · 26/05/2015 16:29

Welcome Jelly and Same and congratulations!

Teenie I was also quite fit and active but haven't dared do anything since getting pregnant. However, I realised this week that if I don't get off my arse do some exercise soon I will go quite mental. I did some Nordic Walking today with some friends - quite hard work even if it's not running, and feel so much better for having done something. Not sure how I'll pluck up the courage to go for a run or a swim.

Brickie don't hesitate to contact your union, even if it's just for some advice. They will know exactly what the law is and how it applies to you. Good luck.

FizzyPinkWine · 26/05/2015 16:32

Hi all.
Welcome newbies!
I haven't posted in over a week. After having a brilliant scan two weeks ago, last week we had an awful sonographer. She was very negative and made us feel as if the baby had not grown and was on the verge of being lost. Went completely to pieces, after three previous miscarriages I was in a bad way. Couldn't post on here.
However, we had another scan today, with a different sonographer. Things are looking great! Completely abdominal scan, saw a beautiful strong heartbeat. Baby measuring at 7+4, which is just about bang on, but changed my due date to 8/1/16 from the 4th.
Just wanted to update everyone and apologise for my absence! Here's to a more positive week this week.
Hope everyone's doing ok and not feeling as nauseous as I am!

EdgarAllenPoe · 26/05/2015 16:34

The anchovy and potato salad was a success! No-one will ever guess I'm pregnant - I've always eaten weird stuff.

mrschatty · 26/05/2015 16:40

Hay everyone!! Just wondering when everyone gas their dating scan? I've booked in for mine 10th July feels like an age away.. has anyone ever had a private scan? Thinking of booking one xx

jellypi3 · 26/05/2015 17:01

my dating scan won't be until mid-late july! feels like an age away.

think i had my first bout of nausea just now, had to clench my teeth together to try and shake it (not worked that well)

Lookingforadvice123 · 26/05/2015 17:05

coffeenut I'm so sorry about your mmc. All mc are awful but I think there's something truly horrendous about thinking all is well until the 12 week scan. How are you finding being pg this time round? I hope you don't mind me asking but did you have any other indication that something was wrong, other than spotting?

mrschat I had my date today - 25th June. Over 4 weeks away Sad considering having a private scan now that I'm past 8 weeks, going to take each day and see.

Blackandwhitecat3 · 26/05/2015 17:17

Fizzy I feel so sick. Tried to eat my way through it but that only worked for half an hour. Confused

Still, mustn't complain!

Oysterbabe · 26/05/2015 17:21

I haven't booked mine yet but it'll be towards the end of July. I cannot wait!! I want to shout my good news from the rooftops but obviously can't!

Gagged at the stench of some guys aftershave in the lift earlier. All chemical stuff smells really strong to me.

MamaDoughnut · 26/05/2015 17:39

lurks about
Hello, I need to POAS ASAP.... 2 weeks late, and looking at calculators etc, should be due 24thish Jan!
Totally need to pull my ass into gear and POAS, but instead am opting for the tried and tested "poke your boobs... are they sore yet?" method!!
Promise I will POAS at least this weekend! ;)

parsnipbob · 26/05/2015 17:43

My 12 week scan is 14 July. Booking appt 17 June.

Mama how come you haven't poas yet??

brickiemum2 · 26/05/2015 17:45

How have you resisted the urge to poas? I can't even wait until the day that af should be due lol.

OP posts:
MamaDoughnut · 26/05/2015 17:50

Well, 1st, I like to POAS in company Wink so he gets the yay moment with me, and second I am RIDDLED with cold, so am pissing past myself at the moment... drinking gallons, and diluting everything away. POAS yesterday, and managed to horse wee all over myself, and got a negative. Waiting for a moment of calm at the weekend Grin
This would be DC2, we have DS1 always present at loo times currentlyHmm

MamaDoughnut · 26/05/2015 17:51

also - Blush I wasn't sure exactly when I was due! I am such a slacker!!

MamaDoughnut · 26/05/2015 17:52

(oh god, I am a drip feeder) So I have no found out dates for AF, and also to clarify, the yay moment was for the POAS, not just me weeing Grin Grin Grin Blush

CubanoHabana · 26/05/2015 18:27

Yay for the northerners!

TeenieDeenie · 26/05/2015 18:32

Blackandwhite that sounds fab and good to know you are feeling good afterwards. It's quite a nice evening here so I was thinking of going out for a walk after dinner for a few miles. I'll just take my time and not over exert myself and see how I get on.

Fizzy I'm sorry to hear you had such a hard few weeks of it after a bad scan experience. I'm so glad today's one went well for you though. Smile

Oysterbabe · 26/05/2015 18:37

Mama I'd stay away from the TTC page, you'll get yourself stabbed. Grin

Lookingforadvice123 · 26/05/2015 18:41

Great news fizzy! Were these private scans or NHS?

I've caved and booked a private scan for a week Thursday (4th June) paid £25 deposit so no going back now, I asked outright if you miscarry before the appointment do you get the deposit back, and you don't! I thought that was very heartless, I imagine if you go to the scan and there's no heartbeat, you still have to pay. I might refuse!

It costs £80 which isn't cheap Confused but I know I'll go mad with worry otherwise. It's not the cheapest place we found (another only cost £40!) but it's on the recommendation of dh's friend who's been there twice. It's called First Encounters and its a chain so they have offices elsewhere, anyone had any experience with them?

FizzyPinkWine · 26/05/2015 18:49

Looking, they've all been nhs scans. Am under the consultant due to my recurrent miscarriages. Got another one in two weeks, when I'll be 9+4. I think I'll worry a bit about that one- I've not made it past 9+2 with any of my miscarriages.
