Manatee I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you - hope you get better news tomorrow Flowers

I've had another two hour nap this evening, thank god it's now half term and I can lie in properly (and have a sneaky afternoon nap in front of Jeremy Kyle, shh...)

Juniper44 · 22/05/2015 22:38

Valancy make the most of it! Holidays are never the same again after you've had one.

Very glad it's hard term, but it's still early mornings for me all week. Boo.

Juniper44 · 22/05/2015 22:39

Manatee keeping all fingers and toes crossed for you Flowers

OrangeBeehive · 22/05/2015 23:33

Will be thinking of you tomorrow Manatee really hope everything is ok Flowers

coffeenut · 23/05/2015 01:46

manatee Sad Have you had fibroids before? What a horrible shock Sad I have everything crossed for you that all is okay. I know it's not much consolation but an ectopic pregnancy would dreadful so I'm very glad that it's not that.

mummyofone glad to see you pop back in - I was getting worried after your spotting last week that you had disappeared!

I'm having a contraband coffee this morning while DH takes the DDs to swimming. Getting terrible, ahem, bound up and uncomfortable and I know from past experience that coffee will help!! It's actually going down okay, no nausea (it's only a weak one, don't worry!)

crumble74 · 23/05/2015 06:57

Just popping in to say I'll be thinking of you today manatee.
I hope you managed to get some sleep.

Bovnydazzler · 23/05/2015 07:18

Sorry your scan showed a fibroid manatee, thinking of you for your scan today.

Hope people have a relaxed bank holiday ahead. I'm planning naps each day (I've always been a nap lover, should have been born in a Siesta country).

I've only just got round to working out the dates for how far along I'll be when I am bridesmaid in July. Eek 14 weeks - I'll have a little belly by then won't I? Bridesmaid dresses have been custom measured (not yet arrived), not sure what my plan is there!

Tonicandgin · 23/05/2015 07:48

Best of luck today Manatee. Thinking of you

I was def out of my normal clothes last time but I used to wear much more skin tight clothes (and could get away with it). Now I am in more floaty stuff I'm hoping to stay in the same clothes for longer. So depends what the bridesmaid dress is like iyswim.

ValancyJane · 23/05/2015 08:22

Juniper Good point I didn't think of that, my extended Christmas Holidays will be my last hurrah then!

Bovny I didn't think most women started showing until around sixteen weeks or so, but I could be wrong there!

Manatee Let us know how you get on today.

I've woken up really sensitive to smells today - not feeling sick, but I can still smell the toast OH made about an hour ago, and I'm upstairs in bed!

Also, at the risk of sounding like a totally crazy cat lady, our cat has started bringing presents in the last week or so, having never done this before. He started off by dragging in leaves and twigs, dropping them at our feet and looking proud of himself, and yesterday brought an enormous bird in (OH rescued it and it flew off thankfully) - I'm wondering if he knows I'm pregnant and is trying to take care of me in his own bizarre little way?! I've googled it and apparently there's a few other people who seem to have found this! Could just be coincidence though.

Tonicandgin · 23/05/2015 08:34

Valancy-if you sound crazy then so do I. Dd (19 mths) has suddenly become insanely attached to a doll 'baaybee'. Loads of people have remarked on it because she normally hates them and whether she's preparing for a sibling (no-one knows yet). Typical..she'll tell our secret before we're ready to!

Feel hideously sick today.. Dh is taking dd out for the morning thankfully.

Blackandwhitecat3 · 23/05/2015 08:59

FX for you today Manatee hope it goes ok.

Just had 12 hours sleep, wow. Lots of naps planned for this weekend. I had that thing of waking up at 4am too this week, hoping that doesn't last!

My (low cut) jeans are beginning to feel right. Eek!

Lookingforadvice123 · 23/05/2015 09:14

Thinking of you today manatee

I was so bloated last night after eating pizza, crisps and choc, was actually a bit scary! And then to top it off dh said "I think you're eating too much", wanted to kill him. I never thought I would be like this as generally I like to eat healthy in the week and only have treats on the weekends, but the main things I've fancied is crisps etc and unhealthy stuff, I'm nauseous a lot but never actually sick and I'm definitely having food aversions to all my normal stuff! Boo DH.

Lookingforadvice123 · 23/05/2015 09:16

Ooh and clothes wise I think I'm going to invest in a pack of bump bands from new look, read good things about them on past threads! My jeans are all mega skinny size 10s, so already yesterday I was sitting at my desk in work with them unbuttoned for comfort Blush

Blackandwhitecat3 · 23/05/2015 09:20

I don't know a thing about maternity clothes, what is a bump band please?

goodnessgraciousgouda · 23/05/2015 09:50

blackandwhite - the easiest way for you to understand would be to just google it. It's easier to see what they do, rather than someone try to explain it (as it sounds like it wouldn't work but actually does).

looking - All I can eat during the day is junk. One particular type of crisp in fact, or sugar free hard boiled sweets, and bread (but only if I eat it with the crisps). In the evenings I can generally eat a wider range of stuff, but won't actually want it until I've started eating.

dobbythedoggy · 23/05/2015 09:54

No naps for me! Dd dropped her naps at 18mths. Unfortantly dh is crazily busy covering at work at the moment so he can't help out at all. He was out of the house from 6am to 10pm yesterday. All I managed to do was flop on the sofa and shiver.

I felt horriable when I was 4-6 weeks pregant with dd but had put that down to having bronchitious. Today I've got to get out of the house, hopefully should as not exhausted by just sitting up.

Anyone else sundenly got really greasy skin? By back and chest are swimming with it despite showering this morning. Developing spots on my scalp too!

parsnipbob · 23/05/2015 11:47

Bit worried by all your symptoms. Am 4+5 today and I have zilch. Even my vaguely sore boobs have gone. Should I worry? :s

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 23/05/2015 12:04

Parsnip I only have mildly sore boobs today and a bit of bloating. Still no sickness to report which I thought I'd have by the bucketload!

originalusernamefail · 23/05/2015 12:29

Hi, I hope someone is about as I could do with some serious cheering up Sad. It looks like I have HG, again. No solid food since Tuesday and only small sips of fluid. I'm staying out of hospital by the skin of my teeth but am stuck in bed and cranky Confused. DH is also cranky as he has had to take 100% of the housework / childcare s well as working. We aren't really talking about it as my sickness lasted to term with DS but I only had myself to look after then. Have an early scan next week to date (and rule out multiples) so that to look forward to I suppose.

Lookingforadvice123 · 23/05/2015 12:31

parsnip when I was 4+5 I didn't have many symptoms at all I don't think, maybe sore boobs but that's a symptom that's come and gone the whole time - they're not so sore right now and I'm 7+5! In fact when I was 4+6 I went on an all dayer with friends (obviously not drinking) and was out from 12pm to gone 1am! I felt virtually normal.

Lookingforadvice123 · 23/05/2015 12:33

Just seen your post original sorry you're so poorly. I know staying in hospital is horrible but if you're dehydrated and not keeping water down, please go in so you can get hydrated xx

originalusernamefail · 23/05/2015 12:47

Thanks looking, I know I need to be realistic but the hospital I would be admitted to is a teeny DGH - where everyone knows everyone- and it's where I work! I have ketostix to test my urine and have agreed a 'limit' with the doc which I'm not at yet - thank god. It's just miserable, like the worst hangover/stomach flu in the world with no respite. I'm feeling guilty as well as both DS and this baby were hard -won due to fertility issues and I feel like I shouldn't be complaining as this is everything I want.

AlohaMama · 23/05/2015 13:06

I wouldn't worry parsnip, you're still very early and for lots of people symptoms don't kick in till much later. Maybe you'll be one of the lucky ones who scarcely knows they're pregnant!

AmyFlame1986 · 23/05/2015 13:08

Parsnip I'm exactly the same 5w 1day here and the last 4 days I haven't felt pregnant at all... Nothing! Sore boobs aren't that bad anymore. I got a bit upset about it this morning and told DH I was worried! He very sensible and told me that it's still really early!

AlohaMama · 23/05/2015 13:10

Ooh sorry original that is terrible. Puts my moaning about nausea into perspective. Is there anything that can be done to help or do you literally just have to wait it out?
