Just 5+1 atm so going to try and get a docs appointment on Monday and get myself in the system - and see about hopefully getting some sort of scan as soon as they can see me fx!! Seems to be common fizzy so here's hoping everything is all gravy!! Grin

Yokyil · 09/05/2015 18:53

How far are you along Iwouldleave??

wouldleavehomeforIdrisElba · 09/05/2015 18:54

I will be 6weeks on Monday. Edd 4/1/2016.

CubanoHabana · 09/05/2015 19:30

Had a tiny bit of blood after dtd today, it happened with the boy but it doesn't stop the worry!

I've won 2 bundles of maternity clothes from eBay as my last day I had borrowed from a friend and she has since sold them. So have full maternity wardrobe now for cost of 2 brand new maternity tops...

TeaandCake91 · 09/05/2015 19:55

Dtd - I'm impressed. I'm too busy being tired and always STARVING for that at the moment! I'm going to look like the Michelin man if I carry on like this.

bearchomp · 09/05/2015 21:17

Iwould we are EDD buddies and I've been having pain and cramping every day for the past 2 weeks some days worst than others. I have had brown bleeding when I wipe but very mild. Mentioned it all to midwife on Thurs and she wasn't overly concerned about it.
I did have slight bleeding with DS - can't remember any pain but DH says I did have some.
I'm worrying about it all but trying to be relaxed too so I understand how you feel.
Hope everyone else is doing ok - we are watching BGT and very emotional - DH is laughing at me Blush

waitingforwombat · 09/05/2015 21:48

Hi, can I join in? I'm expecting DC2, Edd 15/1/16, so just 4 weeks. Already got sore/tingly boobs (better not mean they are going to grow as much as last time, as after 18 months bf they haven't gone back down to pre dd1 size!) and some nausea, funny how you forget how exhausting these early weeks are, and even more so with a toddler to chase!!

Recognise a few names from TTC#2 thread - let's hope plenty of others on conception boards will be able to join us in next few weeks, and we all make it through next 8 months with healthy, sticky beans ( & not too much Envy !)

littlebbunny · 09/05/2015 22:13

Hi ladies, hope you don't mind me joining in. Not entirely sure how far along I am. Had a chemical pregnancy and got my positive straight away, no AF inbetween. Doctor thinks I'm five weeks along. Had my HCG levels done, all seems to look good. First scan on the 21st April which hopefully should tell me how far along I am, but definitely a January baby.

CarrotVan · 10/05/2015 08:15

Congratulations wombat and bunny

littlebbunny · 10/05/2015 08:52

Thanks CarrotVan Congratulations to you and all you lovely ladies here. Hope our littles beans stay strong and healthy for the next 9 months.

goodnessgraciousgouda · 10/05/2015 08:54

looking - There's no need to eat low fat. Actually, it's better during pregnancy to eat semi or full fat foods, but just not to eat a huge amount of it.

Your body needs the fats! I was on a bit of an avocado obsession last week - I don't normally eat them, but got through one a day for three days straight.

Today I am 5 weeks and one day. I am feeling really nervous about the next couple of weeks and basically just praying that everything is okay.

Pretty much all our friends this side of the channel have worked out I'm pregnant. We saw them at a house party on Saturday, and what with me not smoking or drinking (there is literally no way to do this subtlety I have discovered). Two people out of about 10 had the brains NOT to harrass my DH about it. The rest of them (even those with kids already ffs), not so much. No-one said anything to me directly though. I am pretty angry that it's become such an open secret.

I didn't want to go to the bloody thing in the first place, but DH refused not to go (thanks...), and we only found out I was pregnant the week before, so there wasn't any time for me to arrange something different.

Lookingforadvice123 · 10/05/2015 09:28

gouda I'm eating massive quantities of everything Blush so I'm trying to make sure what I'm eating a lot of is naturally low fat eg fruit, veg, whole grains like ryvita. Still getting my fats though - I'm getting everything! Oink oink.

iwould and bearchomp I'm your EDD buddy too! Looking forward to getting past the 7 week mile stone next week, as most of the people I know who have mc were around that time or earlier Sad except for poor SIL who thinks she was about 10-11 weeks, but that's more unusual right?

CarrotVan · 10/05/2015 09:31

If you look at the spacefem chart linked up thread you'll see that the risk of miscarriage drops steadily and is really very low when you get to 7-8 weeks

goodnessgraciousgouda · 10/05/2015 09:57

looking - oh dear, I guess that is one of the very limited down sides of not getting morning sickness!!

Lookingforadvice123 · 10/05/2015 10:22

Exactly gouda, and I really don't want to get huge! My frame isn't very big and I don't carry any extra pounds well at all. I've started feeling a bit rough on and off, so I predict that I will start to get sickness at some point. Was talking to my mum yesterday, she didn't get sickness with my older sister til week 8, but with me it was pretty much from day 1.

littlebbunny · 10/05/2015 11:45

Is anyone else getting stomach cramps from eating too much or am I alone on this. I can't stop eating. I'm a petite person and generally not use to eating this much.

coffeenut · 10/05/2015 11:53

I've been trying to drink a lot of peppermint and camomile tea rather than eating constantly as it's so easy to do at this stage. Have just succumbed to a late night bowl of cereal though ... sigh.

gouda I've spent the weekend making excuses for not drinking - we had quite a few things on and I would usually be the first with a glass of wine. I'm sure some people have guessed but no-one has come right out and asked me or DH whether I'm pregnant. I find that so rude.

Congrats bunny and wombat

littlebbunny · 10/05/2015 12:00

Thanks coffeenut Good idea on peppermint tea.

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 10/05/2015 12:32

coffee Does peppermint tea help get rid of nausea? I'm always hungry at the moment which never usually happens. Normally I can go 5/6 hours without eating a thing. Now I can manage 2/3 Blush

CarrotVan · 10/05/2015 13:23

maybe peppermint tea works for me. You're either a ginger person or a peppermint person in terms of nausea control I find.

I also keep cereal bars in my bag for emergency snackage

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 10/05/2015 13:31

Thanks carrot. I have a few different herbal/fruit teas and one is white tea with peppermint and another is lemon and ginger. So I can test both out! Grin

Blackandwhitecat3 · 10/05/2015 15:00

Hello can I join? BFP exactly a week ago EDD 11th January 7 week scan 25th May.

I seem to be eating a bit less because I'm a bit nauseous but also seem to fill up quickly probably due to my ever-refilling bladder probably because all internal organs seem to be a bit on the move at the moment?

I was on a full-fat mission pre-conception but don't have the stomach for much of it right now. Just trying to make sure I eat enough and frequently enough not to feel sick and/or dizzy.

Carrot I like that chart, thank you and also the website in general. Glad to see chances of mc drop so quickly. Praying to get to the end of another week.

Still grinning like a cheshire cat and loving living every day of being pregnant.

impatientlywaiting · 10/05/2015 17:24

Told my mum, and two sisters yesterday's. We were on a day out for my birthday, so it would have been pretty hard not to drink.

Was going to tell 2 of my friends earlier as again we had planned to drink today, but I managed to get away with it. I'd rather not tell so early, but I feel so awful lying.

Rollermum · 10/05/2015 22:22

Hi everyone, congrats on all the BFPs!

Sorry to everyone who has had MC and wishing you all the best for luck soon Flowers

I am 5 weeks today, EDD 16th Jan (same as Kep I think). But my first daughter (19 months) was 17 days late so I will be amazed if I am anywhere near there.

I am feeling ok so far, a bit weepy, a bit of nausea but ok. I am still BFing DD so interested to see how that changes. I have heard it can help with morning sickness. I just hope she sleeps through before the new DC arrives!

It was quite a shock for us to be pregnant and the timing is rubbish for a few reasons, but I am excited and getting used to the idea.

I think someone mentioned thyroid issues? I am hypothyroid and it didn't cause many issues last time for me other than additional blood tests, and being under the consultant.

brickiemum2 · 10/05/2015 22:31

Sorry if I'm being completely thick roller but if you are due 16th Jan are you not 4+1 today?
