I'm very sorry to hear that greysar

kep1979 · 07/05/2015 15:25

Hi all, just very very tentatively poking my head around the door. I got a v faint line on an ic on Tuesday night, followed by a BFP on a FRER yesterday and a CB digi 1-2 weeks this morning. Had implantation pains on Sunday. Not totally sure of EDD as my chart (BBT/OPK) says I'm only 9dpo today - meaning I got my first positive at 7dpo. Going with my LMP EDD which is 16 January.

I had a mc at 6+2 on 15 March this year, after 29 cycles of trying! So this is even more so of a miracle! Obviously completely petrified!

I am also nervous 'cause we are flying to the states on 22 May, and will be away when i'll reach the dreaded 6+2. And too early to get a reassurance scan to see heartbeat before we go I think. Going to see if they'll do my HCG and progesterone just to give me some comfort.

Have already peed on 4 ic, 1 FRER and a CB digi.... in under 48 hours and ordered 30 more ics today Grin

CarrotVan · 07/05/2015 15:43

Congratulations kep and sorry you had a loss

FizzyPinkWine · 07/05/2015 16:13

So very sorry greysar. Hope you're doing ok.
Welcome kep. With you on the worry about mcing!

Miniangel · 07/05/2015 18:03

Thanks Mummyofone.

Carrot: I am in the UK but have PCOD so don't get regular periods hence had to have an early scan in order to get the 13 week scan date correct:) also have cysts on both my ovaries so will be monitored closely I guess.

I saw the bean and a heartbeat today. I am 7 weeks and the due date is Xmas day. First one was 2 weeks late so don't know about this one.

Greysar: so sorry. Thinking of you and a big virtual hug. We are here if you need to talk.

impatientlywaiting · 07/05/2015 18:21

So sorry Grey.

CarrotVan · 07/05/2015 19:36

Xmas day! How wonderful you saw a heartbeat. I wish early scans were available on the NHS - these are such stressful weeks

Yokyil · 07/05/2015 20:52

greysar so sorry for your news Flowers we're all here if you need to 'talk'

Miniangel · 07/05/2015 21:02

Carrot: I know the wait is too long. It's not long now until the 12 week scan.

We have a planned holiday to Prague on 17th may so hoping docs give me the all clear for it. I'd anyone else due to fly soon?

Miniangel · 07/05/2015 21:06

Carrot: just thought of one more thing. There are quite a few self referral walk in EPUs near us . Is there one near you? With my first one I had gone to one and they gave me an early reassurance scan.

TeaandCake91 · 07/05/2015 21:28

Hi everyone I'm back after 3 super stressful days at work. Just done another test to check all was well after it all - still positive! I phoned the gp on Tuesday who said they don't know anything and to phone when a midwife is there. I'm super clumsy too.

CarrotVan · 07/05/2015 21:48

I don't have any real reason to go to EPU and I'd hate to take the slot from someone who really needed it.

teaandcake if you phone the local maternity unit they'll give you the number for the community midwives

CubanoHabana · 07/05/2015 22:01

Sorry to hear that grey, hugs

impatientlywaiting · 07/05/2015 23:26

We are going to Italy on 20th May, think I'm going to arrange my first free scan at that charity place for the day before. I'll be 7 weeks then so should hopefully see a heartbeat.

Chip86 · 08/05/2015 00:25

Waves at impatiently exciting holiday and a scan at 7 weeks that will be amazing peace of mind

Welcome kep

And sorry graysar big hugs

Hope everyone feeling well.

coffeenut · 08/05/2015 03:47

oh greysar Sad I'm so sorry.

goodnessgraciousgouda · 08/05/2015 05:59

greysar - I will keep my fingers crossed for you that it isn't awful news.

I had my first appointment last night, and it was pretty underwhelming. The dr was very nice, and basically just went through the process here. Which I already knew as I'd researched it, but was probably useful for DH. I'm pretty certain he is already at the "tuning out" stage, lol.

We have some insurance paperwork to do before going for the blood test, so will try and get that done next week. I realised yesterday that not so long ago, mothers never had scans, and only saw what was going on at the birth! Obviously it's much better medically now with the scans, but when you think about it like that, 12 weeks isn't so bad compared to 9 months!

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 08/05/2015 06:14

greysar fingers crossed for you

Woke up this morning to slightly more nausea than yesterday. Hopefully it'll settle down once I eat something.

Need to phone the drs this morning and get that ball rolling. Should have done it sooner but oh well.

Also need to tell parents of the news at some point, but I think I'm just trying to get my head around the idea for now!

Joey0805 · 08/05/2015 07:38

Miniangel - I fly literally every week with work so going to be flying until the absolute last minute (you can fly late you just need a doctor to keep signing you off as fine to fly apparently).

I had the most underwhelming GP appointment ever last night - not only was she utterly unhelpful and pretty rude, she didn't tell me anything at all without my asking questions! She just gave me a bunch of propaganda on breast feeding (errr won't be needing that for a while!) and a lit of hospitals to chose from. She didn't even bother to tell me not to smoke (which I don't), nor take drugs (again, I don't), what a total waste of time!

CarrotVan · 08/05/2015 08:18

Those of you who use/used ICs - can you post a link? It seems I need to stock up and keep testing to keep my gremlins at bay

Still pregnant according to Superdrug

mrsfazruns · 08/05/2015 08:30

Sounds like we are are feeling underwhelmed with first gp appointment!??

Think I feel sick this morning!!

Carrotvan .... I just searched in ebay for pregnancy test and a whole list of ic came up!!! I'm a POAS addict and still testing every now and again!!!

kep1979 · 08/05/2015 09:58

mini I am flying to Miami on 22 May - will be too early to have meaningful scan so pretty worried as I mc last time at 6+2 and will be 5+6 when I fly. Seeing GP on Tuesday, hoping thye can do something to reasure me.

I use the one step ics, and get them from Amazon. Started sticking my tests into a little book this morning, so I can see progression i am such a loser - will take a pick later and post Smile

kep1979 · 08/05/2015 10:09

*pic not pick!

EdgarAllenPoe · 08/05/2015 10:28

Fingers-crossed for greysar.

The many poas sessions you've all been doing have been making me paranoid. I only did one test, which I was pretty confident about as I waited 2 days beyond my usual period. So I've done a cheapy poas just to reassure myself.

I have my first gp app on Monday. I am prepared to be underwhelmed based on this thread!

CarrotVan · 08/05/2015 10:42

Cheers kep

I wasn't this bad last time edgar but I'm so bloody stressed that this is a tiny control thing I think. A reassurance that at least one thing is going well at the moment.

TMI question - is anyone else rather moist? It's quite off-putting!
