Catypillar thanks for the link. Now it's the weekend I finally have time to look up more interesting things to eat, meat or fish with salad gets a bit boring. I'm just being impatient, I have an appointment with a new midwifery team next Friday so hopefully I'll know about when/ where I can give birth then but I like to know everything now! Have you been on insulin since you were diagnosed or has it got worse as the pregnancy has progressed? Theyvall sorry to hear you have GD too. How many weeks are you now?
Jamak like bubalou I have a sister born prematurely. She was born at 24 weeks in 1986. I remember her development being a little slower when she was tiny, she didn't walk until she was about 18 months old whereas my other sisters and I had all been quite early, but she had caught up by the time she went to school. Got everything crossed for your grandaughter.
Thanks comeagain From what I can gather, it just means that there's too much pressure, and therefore resistance, of blood going through the umbilical cord, and it can lead to IUGR. I'm not worried at the moment as everything is on the 50th centile, but glad they're keeping an eye. Glad everything was OK re: movements.
Congrats croon! Hope that you're recovering well, and glad baby is doing well. Fingers crossed you get to go home soon.
Sorry for mammoth post, the last few days have been very busy with work and appointments. Hope you all have nice plans for the long weekend.
