Just got my bfp positive today and am thinking we need a thread for all the babies that will be born around new years and Christmas. I'm due new years eve and just know I'll be sick of the comments real quick! So we can vent and plan low stress xmases together.

I know we have the December thread and will have the January one, but why the hell not there's room for everyone!

No I haven't been on mat leave, left my job a little while ago now i'm a SAHM and DP works. How are you finding being back in work? I bet they'll be happy when you tell them you're pregnant again! HaGrin

Hello to fellow Joey! I think I conceived on cd 34, so the due date calculators are putting me at 8 weeks, but I'm sure I'm closer to 5 or 6, I wasn't doing opks or temping as it was my first cycle ttc #2, so I can't be absolutely sure of my dates. I expect the midwife will go by the earlier date to be on the safe side though until a scan confirms otherwise. Chandlers, were you doing opks or temping to know you ovulated on cd 32?

JoeyBun · 29/04/2015 21:37

Tango, fingers crossed for twins for you then!

Bingbunny, I haven't found going back to work too bad, probably because I know it won't be for very long, he he. No idea what they will think when I tell them I'm pregnant again, I'm not going to say anything until after the 12 week scan though, in the hope that it will seem like I've been back at work longer before announcing the next pregnancy.

crumble74 · 29/04/2015 22:01

Eek, twins! Hadn't thought of that. Must not think about it.

JoeyBun, I'm still on May leave until end of June. I'll have to tell them pretty much as soon as I'm back that I'll be off again in Dec. They're gonna love me! Shock

crumble74 · 29/04/2015 22:04

Mat leave, not May leave!

sherbertlemon17 · 29/04/2015 22:17

Hi there sweepthehalls waves from under a pile or marking

I had my first appointment through today! 15th of May for me! Grin

ChandlersFarang · 30/04/2015 01:07

Joey - I've only ovulated twice since last May so when it happens I really notice!! Lots of CM checking basically, and really vigilant about keeping an eye on how long my cycle has been. I took vitex at the start of this cycle which brought my of forward by a week from the December cycle, and also gave me 4 days of EWCM which really helped!! Grin

OhHoly - I can't believe you've got to go to a theme park!!!! Shock such a brilliant idea for a hen but maybe not right now... Lol. Are you even allowed to go on rides?! What's your planned excuse for not drinking or are you just going to fess up..?

Not a great deal to report from me - just woke up. The longer I stay in bed without eating anything the more I start feeling nauseous - am noticing a pattern now, burps first when I'm running slightly on empty and then if I don't eat, a bit of nausea creeps in. I think mine was worse at the start of the week due to my jetlag as my body was a total mess anyway! Also I have diahorrea now after 3 days of constipation (TMI?! Wink) which is a right old laugh. 6+5 now. T minus 6 days til my scan. Bring it on!!

Hello, congrats and welcome to the newbies! Grin

Wow it's all going on in here! I am super bad at remembering so sorry if I forgot any news. Good luck to everyone waiting for their booking in appointments.

Joey I'm trying to convince dh I should go back to work after this maternity leave pregnant, get all the baby making out the way.

OhHoly that seems so cruel. Will you go on the rides or not? If I couldn't go on rides I think I would.hormonally cry.

I'm sitting here knowing I have to call in sick to work which is scary. My boss does not approve of sick time at all. But I got stuck at a job till 3 with no lunch and passed out when I got home to eat. Then they tried to make me go to a stock pick up, which is a crap ton of heavy lifting and I finished at 4, when my lunch finished at half 3. I'm feeling really crap physically and my anxiety is really bad from being so poorly supported at work. Plus my brain is all foggy and checking gas appliances is really intense, there's a lot of numbers and procedures and I can't keep track of it. I feel really vulnerable working on my.own in peoples houses too. I'm feeling very pathetic at the moment. One more week till my paperwork is signed off and I can stop gas.and only do electric.

I don't know yet, was going to see what i could get away with - Im guessing not a lot given how bad the nausea is, had an overnight at work and managed to throw up twice...
Good job my colleague is male, Im sure a woman would have cottoned on!

SweepTheHalls · 30/04/2015 07:51

I've had to tell work already as they are planning staffing for next academic year... Seems crazy that on each pregnancy I've told work before parents!

Joey0805 · 30/04/2015 09:28

Chandlers - same thing; I ovulated twice since August and the other time was when I was on a 4 day business trip!

I am v keen to get an early scan; am I right in thinking that can be done at 7 weeks? And when they say 7 weeks does that mean 7 weeks since day of ovulation or 7 weeks since first day of last period (assuming 28 day cycle)?

ChandlersFarang · 30/04/2015 09:36

Joey - it's from ovulation date plus 2 weeks. So for me, I will be 7 weeks pregnant on Saturday but will only have been 5 weeks since I ovulated. Seems weird but it's just how they work it out. Babies only take 38 weeks to cook, essentially! But doctors like using last period date as most people know when that was (not that many know when they ovulated!). It's helpful to track where you are with a pregnancy app - the one chops recommended to me was Pregnancy+ and it's quite good. Tells you each day how far along you are.

I'm having a scan on Wednesday when I will be 7.5 weeks. They can apparently detect a heartbeat and check the position of the developing foetus from 6 weeks!! So by 7 weeks it should definitely show something if all is well. Argh I do really hope all is well in there!!! GrinGrin

Tangoandcreditcards · 30/04/2015 10:35

All my symptoms have vanished this morning. Don't even feel tired and I was up at 1 and since 5.

I'm trying (and failing) not to be paranoid about it... Sad

cuppa your day sounds horrendous. I hope you catch a break today.

crumble74 · 30/04/2015 10:57

tango I feel exactly the same...nothing to suggest I'm pregnant but these things take time to build up and then boom! I know it's not easy but try to remain positive Flowers
Chandlers Good that you have a scan booked. I've been advised to have one between 7-8 weeks too due to previous history. Unfortunately in my case, that's still 2+ weeks away!

Have a good day everyone! Don't work too hard & have a little sit down every now & again.

Joey0805 · 30/04/2015 12:02

Ah great! Well I shall book one for 7 weeks as well then; if it's not happening properly I want to know asap. Haha yep, good point - of course most people wouldn't know when they ovulated!

whohasnickedmyvodka · 30/04/2015 18:00

I have a dating scan next Wednesday I'm shitting it

SweepTheHalls · 30/04/2015 18:13

I'm planning to get a harmony scan and test at 10 weeks. God only knows how I will get through the next 5 weeks until then!

mazpie · 30/04/2015 22:43

Hi everyone can I join?

I'm currently 6+1 with my first and due on the 23rd December. I had my first scan after some bleeding today and I was so relieved to see a bean with a lovely heartbeat!

Tangoandcreditcards · 01/05/2015 09:51

Hi mazpie - how stressful but also how reassuring to see a HB.

I got my BFP Mon, felt woozy and sick all day Tues but since then haven't felt remotely pregnant; I was on my feet all day yesterday 5.30am-8pm and am only 'regular' tired. I know I should be thankful but I'm now convinced I'm not going to stay pregnant. Going to POA(lot of)S today to make me feel better. I can't believe I'm wishing sickness on myself.

Tell me to pull myself together please.

crumble74 · 01/05/2015 10:14

Congrats mazpie, lovely to see that little heart beating.

tango I feel the same. I only really feel cold but am not tired anymore, no sore bbs, nothing. I'll pee on my last CB Digi on Sunday & hope it hasn't gone down from 2-3 weeks

IfYouWereARiverIdLearnToFloat · 01/05/2015 12:11

Congrats Mazpie! We have exactly the same dates... I'm so glad you could hear the heartbeat! I've had a horrible bug the last few days & terrified something is up with the bean. Was wondering about trying to get an early scan?

ChandlersFarang · 01/05/2015 12:47

Congratulations Maz on hearing the heartbeat!! Grin

If it's reassuring for anyone I'm 7 weeks tomorrow and have really found my symptoms fluctuate... Was sick as a dog at the start of the week, then had a good day where I was barely nauseous and not that tired. Then yesterday almost vommed in a shop and had to go to bed at 8:30pm, whilst today nausea has been minimal again! Tried to go for a nap and didn't fall asleep! Totally swings and roundabouts. Am now just telling myself to make the most of it whenever I don't feel sick!! Grin
