Christmas and new years babies thread!

CuppaSarah · 19/04/2015 10:41

Just got my bfp positive today and am thinking we need a thread for all the babies that will be born around new years and Christmas. I'm due new years eve and just know I'll be sick of the comments real quick! So we can vent and plan low stress xmases together.

I know we have the December thread and will have the January one, but why the hell not there's room for everyone!

Congratulation Tonijo & Armani!

Sweep that is completely adorable! Definitely going to start searching eBay for baby bargains as well. Might have to wait till payday, but I can peruse Wink

Can anyone tell me what is classed as a high heart rate? I'd be interested to have a guess based on that!

OhHolyFuck · 15/07/2015 20:25

Sherbet - over 140 I think

CuppaSarah · 16/07/2015 07:02

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's over 140, no clue if there's truth in it though.

Anyone else still suffering morning sickness? Mines still perfectly manageable, just one sick first thing everevery day. I was hoping it would have gone by now but ahwell. Barely slept last night, work are being crap again. Going to be an interesting day today! If it gets too bad I can always stick my finger in the fuse!Wink

Ahemily · 16/07/2015 08:00

Poor you cuppa Sad I hope it goes okay today.

Morning sickness still here, although it's generally afternoon sickness now. Can't wait to feel normal again!

Ahemily · 16/07/2015 08:13

I meant to say, the only thing that really helps with my nausea is Earl Grey tea - I can't get enough of it at the moment!

SweepTheHalls · 16/07/2015 08:23

I am so sorry for all of you that have morning sickness....... the tiredness is bad enough. I would love to do an NCT refresher course, mostly for the phone number list at the end for some company during maternity leave! I just can't justify the money though.

Tangoandcreditcards · 16/07/2015 08:41

Oh poor you cuppa - I think it's time to demand a sitting-down/less stressful job! I didn't have much sickness, but I'm also waking up with headaches and my sleep is starting to suffer Tonijo . My SPD has calmed right down this week since a really bad day on Sat, something must have shifted, such a relief!

Had a fantastic dream last night that I gave birth in a pub car-park, on the 17th of October (I hope not) and immediately fed my little boy(!) Weetabix. But then woke up at 4.45 and couldn't get back to sleep.

Quite sweep , although I seem to have found £35 to spend on New Look maternity wear this morning already Confused , I can't seem to bring myself to commit that much cash just for an intro service!

MazyCrummy · 16/07/2015 09:39

cuppa I can't tell from here if you've tried them but I've been on cyclazine for about 12w now, and I'm just starting to not need the full dose every day (16w now) and they have been fantastic. I'm self employed and I'm not sure what we'd have done without them because I couldn't move - let alone work - before I started taking them. I definitely recommended chatting to your GP if you haven't already

rainsong · 16/07/2015 11:25

We seem to have a dream thing coming on.... First it was oh holy and her "Labrador" baby, now it's Tango and her "Weetabix" baby.

Tonijo55 · 16/07/2015 13:44

im loving the dream about feeding your baby weetabix Grin ive nkt had any dreams like that yet x

HopeItComesLate · 16/07/2015 16:50

cuppa there's Alot of sickness over here too however sounds worse on your end hope you start to feel better soon . I think mines stress related anything goes wrong and I throw up I'm sure my partner thinks I'm putting it on to get my own way haha
Also think I felt a movement but not quite sure it's happened twice now so hopefully not too long to wait for something obvious Smile

OhHolyFuck · 16/07/2015 17:06

I think sorry that my sickness has gone although now I've said that, I'm sure I won't move off the bathroom floor for the next month! Are you on anything?

I think weird dreams are part of it, I won't bore you with the one where I was a police officer helping Jonny Depp dressed as captain jack sparrow escape on a jet ski because he was about to get arrested for stealing industrial quantities of marmalade....

Queazy · 16/07/2015 18:13

Hi all, loving hearing all about the crazy dreams - ha ha Smile My nausea has just about gone but still feeling very tired. Could be the 5am wake ups recently from dd though! I know what you mean about NCT etc and I won't be shelling out on the refresher - just doing a cheaper local option.

I've been on the New Look Sale today. I'm counting it as essential buys, but might not feel that way week before pay day when I have zilch left.

Hope you've all had a good day

Queazy · 16/07/2015 19:21

p.s. Really glad to hear your SPD ha improved Tango

CuppaSarah · 17/07/2015 07:25

Last night I woke up with a start as someone had been 'scratching the book that was sat on my stomach' still have no idea what that means! Took me till now to realise that it was probably a dream! I also dreamt a co worker came over and used up all the sugar, not as exciting as the pub carpark birth and Johnny Depp dreams.

Thanks for the confirm with sickness, I think I may have made it sound worse than it is though. It is literally first thing ever day I throw up, then as long as I eat enough it stays away(unless a coworker manages to spill an ancient mcflurry everywhere oh god it was awful)

Glad your SPD is getting the hint its not welcome Tango!

I so need to pick up some maternity clothes but we bought a lawn mower last month and I so don't want to go into my overdraft again! Should have let the grass go wild and bought some bitching new clothes

OP posts:
Tangoandcreditcards · 17/07/2015 08:50

cuppa you definitely should have waited on that lawnmower - you're down South aren't you? My lawn is a lovely straw carpet and hasn't needed much mowing in the last few weeks! The New Look sale is pretty good, although I really do wish I could just wear pyjamas all the time from now until xmas.

OhHolyFuck · 17/07/2015 09:00

I've got some 'over the bump' jeans from next - the over the bump bit is cotton so i do feel a bit like Im in pjs all the time - i practically sulking if i have to wear proper pants!

Ahemily · 17/07/2015 10:10

Well knock me sideways - it's a girl!!

Tangoandcreditcards · 17/07/2015 12:02

Our very first lady-baby! Congrats ahemily !

Ahemily · 17/07/2015 12:31

Thanks tango! God knows what we'll call her - I was so sure it was a boy I didn't bother looking at girls names!!Hmm

Queazy · 17/07/2015 14:40

Woo hoo ahemily!!!! Huge congrats on your little lady. I only have girls names. I think we might have the opposite problem. I'm now convinced I'm having a boy, tho i was wrong last time so prob will be again Smile

Queazy · 17/07/2015 14:43

I loved the new look sale. Did buy a kimono style top that looks like a painting apron on, which in hindsight was a bad buy. Perhaps I should have bought a lawnmower Wink I think my fashion sense went along with my waistline Smile

Ahemily · 17/07/2015 14:55

Thanks queazy! I'm thinking this girl needs a strong name after a shaky start so am scouring for names of courageous women from history for inspiration! I really must do some work....

SweepTheHalls · 17/07/2015 15:07

Midwife appointment today and I heard the heartbeat again which was lovely. Somewhat envious of all of you that know what flavour you are having!
