Christmas and new years babies thread!

Just got my bfp positive today and am thinking we need a thread for all the babies that will be born around new years and Christmas. I'm due new years eve and just know I'll be sick of the comments real quick! So we can vent and plan low stress xmases together.

I know we have the December thread and will have the January one, but why the hell not there's room for everyone!

Oh, and due date Moved forward by 5 days to the 30th December

I really am and so relieved. I had got myself so worried about spina bifida as I had stopped taking folic acid as we had given up on conceiving again after 2 and a half years. At 35 I was thinking about Chromosomal problems too. I burst into tears when she said all was well

Once the scans are all done we need to do a new list of due dates.

Hi distracted and congrats to sweep, it's such a nice moment seeing them and hearing they're ok, isn't it?

Anyone else turned into Jordan?! Bursting out all of my bras and can't seem to wear anything vaguely low neck without it looking a bit obscene, not great for work! Too hot to live in turtle necks though! Bought some new bras in the next size up in the hope that might help the situation a bit...

Congrats sweep! Glad all went well, sounds like you can breathe a little more easily now.

Good idea Armani. A new dates list is in order. It sounds like most of us have jiggled about a little bit.

OhHoly I can definitely relate! I got re measured last week and I've gone up nearly 2 sizes!! I had fairly big boobs anyway, so I can't say I'm enjoying the extra boobage. They just get it the way! Haha!

I am very happy my boobs have unjordaned themselves but are just fuller and more pert instead! Of course it won't last, but I'm enjoying it! I'm quite big on the top and after my last pregnancy and breast feeding my boobs looked a little sad

I have a theory that boobs expand with knowledge, that's why they just keep getting bigger as you get older! But everyone knows smart people are the saddest, which is why they start looking down at the ground miserably.

I know it's a while off yet but has anyone thought about the logistics of Christmas yet?!

Had my scan this morning, been put at 13+2 with EDD of 28th December. All looking good.

We are planning to get a curry delivered, probably Christmas eve because I don't think they open Christmas day

All good from my scan too though still waiting for blood results re: risk of Downs etc. They've moved me forward 4 days so now due 1st Jan!

I've experienced something new today... As some of you know I'm a teacher in a secondary school. Most of the staff have known for a couple of weeks, but I'm keeping it pretty hush hush with the kids. They don't need to know! Lol! But today, I've definitely had a few of the older girls giving me the once over and I even overhead one of them say "miss is putting on weight, or she's pregnant"

I feel a bit guilty because our department is like a revolving door when it come to people getting pregnant. I'm the only with no DC (yet! ) and they only said this week that I'm the one who never leaves them and am always there for them. I know it sounds silly, but it does break my heart a little bit. Lol!

Congratulations everyone who had their scan. I'm so thrilled they all went so well!

Sherbert, I can totally imagine what its like. Working on a school before it was the same. Something on the water at schools I swear!

As for Christmas I have decided we are having it at dads. He's five mins up the road, does amazing roasts. Has space and dd loves the chickens, so its ideal. Plus him abd his dp split so he's stuck on his own anyway.

Good news about everyone's scans , I haven't even told the staff at my school, Sherbert, let alone the students!

Here's my scan pic. Baby was lying face down and being pretty lazy! I had to jiggle myself about a bit so she could get a good look. Listened to the heartbeat also which was amazing. The sonographer was fantastic. oooo what flavour could it be?!...

Aww what a lovely piccy distracted!! I'm so glad it went well. I think it's a little girl. Been reading up on skull theory and that looks like a little girls skull to me.

Can't wait to hear about the other scans today

Nuchal results letter came through today. Low risk. Phew

Armani thats such a clear picture, isn't it? Whereabouts are you (dont say if you dont want to, just wondering if you're at some swanky hospital with lovely equipment - I don't think Ive ever seen them looking so sharp at the 12 week scan!)

Sweep we must be on a similar schedule - mine came today too! Also low risk (lowest of all 3 surprisingly although I'm obviously older?) so good news all round

Feel a bit weird - that terrorist attack on Tunisia today was the hotel/beach we were at a few weeks ago (just started a thread to vent actually!)
Just feels a bit "close to home" you know?

It was a transvaginal scan so that might be why it's clearer. The sonographer couldn't get any good shots over my tummy, I have a tilted womb and a lot of gas apparently!

The Tunisia thing is just awful.
