Christmas and new years babies thread!

Just got my bfp positive today and am thinking we need a thread for all the babies that will be born around new years and Christmas. I'm due new years eve and just know I'll be sick of the comments real quick! So we can vent and plan low stress xmases together.

I know we have the December thread and will have the January one, but why the hell not there's room for everyone!

Congrats on all the results, Xmas twins and gender scans booked in! I'm due 28 Dec apparently - they brought it forward a bit. I wonder if one of us will have a Xmas day baby

Went for my 12 week scan today, but was 13 weeks exactly. Due date Christmas day!
Was lovely to see the little one again, feel like i can finally relax and enjoy everything now xxx

Scan on Monday, can't wait, but I think I will still be a bag of worry even after it

Oh- Yep! 24th is grudging likely due so DH and I are just gonna have to assume by that... They're DCs 3+4, already have too DDs! (Kinda overwhelmed)

hez I found out I'm due Christmas day today too!
Baby wouldnt sit in the right position and poor lady had a right time of it trying to do nucal measurements. I was jumping around like a looney trying to get it to move for her!

Looks like you're going to have your hands full Falcon! How old are your DCs? I am due on 5th Jan and have already said that I'm staying put over Christmas (our families live between 1 hour and 3 hours away). If people want to pop round then great but don't expect me to cook!

We could have potentially found out the sex of the baby next week once we have the results of the blood test but I want a surprise. Given that it's taken over 3 years to get to this point, I figure a few more months is not going to make a difference.

Right must drag arse off sofa and go to bed. Night all!

I 'need' to know I think, helps me cope better if its a proper person with a sex and a name before its born, you know what I mean?

Scan went really well. Baby was fast asleep at first and really annoiyed to be woken up! Here is baby sucking their thumb. Hope what a lovely cutey baby you have!

Gillster you are so patient. I would have been all over finding out. I love some of us aren't finding out, makes it more exciting all round.

Falcon Christmas twins will be amazing, with two older DC it will be the best kind of chaotic.

OhHolyFuck I feel the exact same about finding out the gender, I need to know to help me get head round the fact there is an actual human growing that I'm going to look after. Plus I really want a son and another daughter, so either way I'll be a little disappointed as well as super excited, so want any negative thoughts gone by the time I begin the foetal ejection process as it is called in my new hypnobirthing book. not sure I love that term.

Great scan pics. I've got to wait until Wednesday for mine. My private gender scan is booked for 14th July.

Cuppa: if nub theory is correct, that looks like a girl nub.

"Foetal ejection process"???? That almost sounds like you'd just fire the baby out and it would all be over very quickly.

NoArmarni you can see a nub?! We were thinking girl, would save us a lot of money on baby clothes. We will see in a couple months if nub theory is right, would be really cool if it was.

Gillster it does doesn't it? It sound s a bit clinical for me too. Haven't read much of it yet, so hoping it isn't full of weird terms like that. I don't want to eject my baby!

Fetal ejection?! WTF! haha! Sounds so impersonal and a procedure rather than an experience. Hmmm... Or maybe you'll be lucky and sneeze and that baby will pop right out!

I like the idea of a quick sneeze and out pops baby seems like there's only a ccouple of us wanting surprises can't wait to find out what your all having. x

Gillster- I know! DCs are 5 and 6 so it's going to be a NIGHTMARE! Good luck with due date- with family over we're all going to be swamped!

Cuppa- I know, DCs are hopping around everywhere saying that I'm going to have twins but hopefully they won't be too crazy come X-mad, presents and twins!

Urrggghh! Why does Monday morning come round again so quickly?!

Hi everyone, can I join this group?! First pregnancy and am now 11+5 with current due date of 6th Jan. Got my scan on Wednesday and am so nervous! I've just got images of the sonograher saying 'nope. no baby in there!!'

OhHolyFuck I agree with you on the Monday morning thing. I work from home and am still in my dressing gown with zero motivation to do any work...

Hi Distracted! I also have my scan on Weds (although had a private one last week) so not feeling as nervous as I could. Did you have an earlier scans? At the moment you are due 1 day after me!

Hi Gillster! ooo very close, I'll be keeping an eye on your posts!

Not had any earlier scans although wish we had booked one now! Definitely will if we do this again, the wait is far too long!!

I'd started to panic a little as my symptoms faded loads at 10 weeks but I've started to feel nausea again so hoping this is a good sign...

Lots of scans Wednesday! Its going yo be an exciting day on here! Only one full day left till scan day.

This weekend was just too fast. Why can't the weekend come back

We had our scan today and it went really well. The sonographer was brilliant and looked at the spine for me as I was so worried about it. The nuchal measurement was in the normal range as well, although I know that we need to wait for the blood tests as well.

As it all went so well we decided to tell the boys and their faces were an absolute picture .
