CuppaSarah · 19/04/2015 10:41

Just got my bfp positive today and am thinking we need a thread for all the babies that will be born around new years and Christmas. I'm due new years eve and just know I'll be sick of the comments real quick! So we can vent and plan low stress xmases together.

I know we have the December thread and will have the January one, but why the hell not there's room for everyone!

I'm certainly feeling more copey this week with some time off within reach! Is your house pox-free now ohholy ? Enjoy your breakfast! Rest easy.

I'll wait until the birth.

HopeItComesLate · 08/06/2015 13:49

I think the list of what we think we're having is a Great idea I think mines a boy no idea why I read mums get it right like 70 percent of the time.
How you finding your night shifts Ohholyfuck I've felt much more tired and grumpy think I may have to tell everyone at work soon so they don't just think I'm a bitch ha
Off to guzzle a pint of orange juice now enjoying hearing all the names x

CuppaSarah · 08/06/2015 16:10

I am cooking a girl baby I am 80? sure. I really want another girl, but also really want a boy, so I can't loose or win.

Tango I love those names, they're fab choices. Glad you're finding your feet again, good luck on Friday!!

Night shifts and two little ones seems really tough OhHolyFuck. I just got in from work and am teaching dd to share by sharing an ice lolly. Its not going well, 3 tantrums so far and only half way through it

HopeItComesLate · 08/06/2015 18:23

Just had a dream I gave birth to a little girl no idea what I am having now.
Has anyone else had these types of dreams. Maybe to much netmums before bed ha.
Morning sickness with young children must be really difficult think a two year olds tantrum might send me to tears also some days x

CuppaSarah · 08/06/2015 18:27

Hope I work full and dh stays at home, so tantrums don't bother me as I get enough time away. Especially as i deal with adults tantruming enough Grin

I once heard if you dream about having a boy you're have a girl and vice versa

OP posts:
NoArmaniNoPunani · 08/06/2015 18:43

I'm convinced I'm having a boy. I have no preference either way.

sherbertlemon17 · 08/06/2015 18:45

Hope I had a dream about a newborn wearing a blue hat, so my money is on having a boy. Lol! Not to mention the fact that all but one person who we have told, thinks we'll be having a boy.

You may have blown my theory out the water now though cuppa !

HopeItComesLate · 08/06/2015 18:48

I'm quite attached to the baby from my dream now I even remember calling her Olivia which is the only name we have agreed on I read people get these dreams but had no ideas it would happen so seen x

CuppaSarah · 08/06/2015 19:10

Well if it makes you feel better Sherbert, dh dreamt we had a curly blonde haired, blue eyed girl. And that'd what we have, so there has to be some truth to these things nothing to do with me and dh having blyebeys and curly blonde hair as kids

I am going to find out if it's a boy or girl at the 20 week scan, or maybe even at a private scan at 16 weeks if I'm really impatient. With dd I was convinced I was having a boy, to the extent that I wouldn't even consider any girl names and even convinced dh we were having a boy. I decided it was mothers intuition. At the 20 week scan I was shocked to discover it was a girl! I decided that my mothers intuition was rubbish! I don't have mothers intuition one way or the other this time, so I'll guess at a boy. Most people we have told think it's another girl though.

OhHolyFuck · 08/06/2015 21:20

Is that right so far?

CuppaSarah · 09/06/2015 06:17

You got me right! Loads of us thinking boy aren't there? Apparently some sonographers can tell if its a not at the 12 week scan. Only boys though, as their bits are nice and obvious. On the babycentre birth club, loads of women have found out at 12 weeks. So fingers crossed some of us might find out early.

Queazy · 09/06/2015 06:52

I think I'm having a boy too!! I was absolutely convinced of that last time and had a girl tho Smile

HopeItComesLate · 09/06/2015 09:28

I have a Dr's appointment today does anyone know what it will entail? Was asked to book it a month after My first aappointment.
Also I guess a few of you are going to find out the gender so will be able to get an idea how good we are at guessing before the babies arrive :-) x

OhHolyFuck · 09/06/2015 09:49

Queazy I'll add you as soon as I get on the pc

I'll be finding out at the 20 week scan, would find out now if I could, patience is not my thing!

OhHolyFuck · 09/06/2015 09:52

6 boys to 2 girls so far...although possible, I guess it's more likely the numbers would be better balanced

At my NCT class though, all 4 couples had boys and the one my friend went to, all 6 couples there had girls! So I guess gender imbalances do happen...we'll just have to see?

Hope, I don't know? I only have my booking one then 12 week scan and then a 16 week midwife appointment so far? Did they do bloods at your booking because there's some you're supposed to have around 10 weeks?

HopeItComesLate · 09/06/2015 13:21

Yeah already had bloods taken by midwife. I'll let you all know later what it's all about will probably be pretty boring mundane stuff.
I just want to go shopping and tell everyone now but still not far on enough and this is the second week I've been 11 weeks pregnant as dates changed at the scan. :|
Hope your all having a sick free day x

CuppaSarah · 09/06/2015 16:21

I imagine its nothing exciting Hope. The odds of us all getting the gender right must be stupidly low. Grin some of us will be surprised I'm sure.

I did my duty for team carbs today. Had to wait an hour for a specific electric meter to be delivered, so went to burger king and got a super size fries. Shh don't tell dh!

OP posts:
OhHolyFuck · 09/06/2015 16:52

cuppa Im jealous! There is no burger king here Sad
Their chicken royale was always so good!
Im letting the team down quite badly today, only had 2 slices if malt loaf so far, will have a massive jacket potato to make up for it at dinner!

I think we're in for some shocks too, be amazed if we were all right!

CuppaSarah · 09/06/2015 18:09

Well Hope think I may know what your gp wants. Just had a call saying I have thrush from my gp and she wants me to wee in a cup again. I did have suspect discharge but no itchiness, gross. So if this one comes up yeasty I'll be on the cream.

Chances are we had booking in appointments at similar times with the same due date so it's something in your wee sample too I'm going to guess. Hopefully more glamourous than me. Shock

OP posts:
HopeItComesLate · 09/06/2015 21:27

aww cuppa hopefully it will be nothing. I'm sure pregnancy just gets more and more glamorous as it goes on. Luckily It just turns out my Dr wanted to hear babies heartbeat and an update on my well being. When I first went to see her I couldn't actually remember when my last period was so I think really she wanted to know how far gone I was.
Has anyone bought anything yet? I know we aren't meant to but the baby isle in asda has been calling my name.

CuppaSarah · 10/06/2015 06:21

Yay, that sounds much more fun than my conversation with the Dr. Grin I'm just glad its been picked up, without me having to feel all horrible first.

Kept thinking it was Wednesday yesterday. So I'm really disappointed now, I shouldn't be as somehow I ended up doing no work yesterday, apart from driving round, eating burger king and fitting one meter. I'm finding myself more and more tired as it goes on. What about everyone else?

OP posts:
OhHolyFuck · 10/06/2015 08:24

Actually cuppa I've gone the other way! After 6 weeks of zombie-like tiredness, Im starting to come out of the fug, Im even going to attempt doing the full day without a nap today!

I've bought 2 sleep suits so far, a jojo bebe duck one with the matching hat for it to be the first outfit to wear and a dumbo one that is pinker than it looked on the website so Im undecided on it, the elephant picture is cute though

rainsong · 10/06/2015 14:09

Haven't got my booking appointment till Friday at which point I'll be 11 weeks. Which bloods are they supposed to do at 10 weeks.
Burger King cheeseburger fries and sweet chilli dip. Yum. Best treat
Team carb. Rice and a bit of tomato sauce for breakfast, cereal for lunch (only golden nuggets will do) and egg sandwich for diner.....Every single day.

Ps if anyone else has that strange taste in mouth I read about rinsing the mouth with salt water solution. tried it and it works.
