Just got my bfp positive today and am thinking we need a thread for all the babies that will be born around new years and Christmas. I'm due new years eve and just know I'll be sick of the comments real quick! So we can vent and plan low stress xmases together.

I know we have the December thread and will have the January one, but why the hell not there's room for everyone!

queazy surely you found out you were pregnant in April? I reckon that's reason enough to shoehorn it onto the name list.

DP has exercised his power of veto over Arnold. More gutted than I should be considering we haven't even seen the little shrimp yet & am convinced it's a lady baby anyway.

Hello hope !

OhHolyFuck · 07/06/2015 08:51

As to not let the rest of 'team carbs' down, I have just had 2 macdonalds breakfast...I didn't enjoy it though, no not a bit, I was taking one for the team you see....Wink

Hiya hope!

HopeItComesLate · 07/06/2015 09:13

Cuppa stress is something of have in bundles so glad it's doing something good haha.
Ohholyfuck I love mcdonalds breakfast but apparently babies only an inch in size and my bloat is already stretching the jeans out!
Hope your all not feeling too sick today. Is anyone else working nights? X

CuppaSarah · 07/06/2015 14:32

Just got back from the beach/pond/lake. I was the only adult who wore a swim suit gah! But it was lovely, so much easier than dragging dd an hour to the beach, then her getting over tired and grumptastic. Who was it that was based in Surrey? Frensham pond is the place to be if you have toddlers apparently.

Haven't been sick all day Grin I feel energetic for once, it's AMAZING! I have managed two packs of pom bears for team carbs, so I'm doing my part.

Can I join team carbs?! 4 croissants for breakfast this morning Blush soooo worth it!

OhHolyFuck · 07/06/2015 15:11

All are welcome on team carbs! Especially bread, chips, pastry, pasta, potatoes, rice....Grin

CuppaSarah · 07/06/2015 15:23

All first trimester ladies are team carbs! It's sisterhood or something isn't it?

Holy you have no idea how jealous I am of your McDonalds today - oh god I need a McMuffin. Have eaten loads today, and definitely a carbs girl. I'm worried I'm going to give birth to a loaf of bread. Still looking uber bloated today - I'm going to tell my boss tomorrow before the rumour mill does.

Morning sickness still here - yuck. Oh a McDonalds burger how I need you...

sherbertlemon17 · 07/06/2015 17:32

But technically I'm 2nd trimester now! 1st trimester I ate diddly squat compared to what I've eaten the last couple of days. Food baby!

Tangoandcreditcards · 07/06/2015 17:42

McDonalds craving to the max. If only it wasn't so far away. (It's for the best)... Although instead I rinsed the farm-shop for meat-and-pastry product and bankrupted myself in the process. Maybe id have been better off with a Big Mac...

CuppaSarah · 07/06/2015 18:28

Well Sherbet the need for carbs obviously only increases with our stomachs! Being that bit ahead of us, you're our glimpse into the future right now.

Queazy your bread baby made me properly lol, little baby Hovis Grin

I am so envious of the mcdonalds cravings, I had some the other day and just couldn't hold it down. Mcnuggets are bad the second time and it put me right off. I want to indulge myself. Mcnuggets are what put me into labour last time, what if I cant give birth without them?

Tangoandcreditcards · 07/06/2015 20:04

Just off to post Olaf Hovis McNugget to the baby names board...

HopeItComesLate · 07/06/2015 20:05

After reading about all the food you guys have been munching I went to burger king today I think the bad bit is I ate a donut on the way ha
Think I've learnt my lesson though still feel sick may have to ban myself from the carb club

CuppaSarah · 07/06/2015 20:23

Sorry Hope, you're not getting out that easy Wink you'll be with us till the new year, even then you won't truly escape for a few months after, as everyone knows new mums survive on a diet of pure toast and willpower.

Tango please do! I want to see people try to tactfully talk you down. Hovis is actually a pretty cute name now I think about it, shame the bread ruined it.

I quite like olaf tango has anyone got close to picking names yet?
I quite like Olivia

Queazy · 07/06/2015 20:43

Baby Hovis has a bit of a ring to it Smile To be fair it tops some of the shockers my DH has suggested. I just had pasta for dinner - oh the disappointment of no Maccy D's Hmm I now want a doughnut too... I can feel my body expanding at the thought. How is this baby the size of a date?!?!

CuppaSarah · 07/06/2015 20:48

Hope that's my dds name, so I recommend it! If we have a boy it will be Thomas, but think its a girl and we can't agree on girls names.

Queazy let's hear some of your dhs suggestions!

HopeItComesLate · 07/06/2015 21:12

Would completely recommend the donut quezy I think it was the best thing I've ever eaten
May have hidden another in my bag Blush

JoeyBun · 07/06/2015 21:15

Sorry I haven't been on here for ages, sounds like everyone is doing well. The first trimester seems to be dragging now! I'll be 12 weeks on Friday but I haven't got my scan until the following Thursday when I'll be nearly 13 weeks, that seems ages away, I just want to get there and be able to tell everyone. I'll stop moaning now. I'm off to get a horlicks before bed.

Queazy · 07/06/2015 21:25

DH's suggestions are all nice names but just not prob what I'd choose - boys are a toughie and neither of us have many, girls he likes Francesca, Lydia and Isobel. As I said nice, but for me I'd still go for Hovis Wink I love Ben and I love Alice, so mine aren't exactly 'out there'. I really love Thomas btw Cuppa - a really lovely name.

Queazy · 07/06/2015 21:27

Oh and Gillian. A strong name but just not my cup of tea.

CuppaSarah · 08/06/2015 06:27

Aww queazy I was hoping for really crazy names. They're all lovely, but if you don't both love them it's pointless. Dh just doesn't like any girls names, I suggest loads of lovely names and he just says no! Dd is still convinced the baby is her pink fairy mia though. Watching her programme she was calling the character 'my baby mia' instead of just mia. Grin she will be so angry when a normal baby appears.

Joey I know exactly what you mean. It just never ends. But we're all over a quarter of the way through our pregnancy and the first bit is the worst, so only good things to look forward to.

Tangoandcreditcards · 08/06/2015 08:57

We're getting there team! I've got an 'early' scan Fri (11 wks) and my real scan 2 weeks later after HOLIDAYS.

In the last 6 weeks we've had a house-move, a collective norovirus, a pregnancy and the death of poor FIL:- we're hanging out for some time off - 4 more days of work!

We've got Zoe and Laurence, I'm not quite sold on Laurence yet... but my first tri has been so different to last time I'm sure it's a lady-baby.

OhHolyFuck · 08/06/2015 09:59

God Tango, that sounds an awful lot to have coped with, hope you're doing ok

Strange how you get 'feelings' isn't it? I think this is another boy....or it might be that after 2 DSs, I just can't picture a girl in anyway!

So, Tango thinks girl and I think boy...anyone got an 'inkling' about theirs? Be good to do a list now and then compare back how accurate we were when we know? Who's finding out/waiting til birth?

Just got off a night shift, dP at work, ds1 at school and just waiting for ds2 to go for a nap before I go for a sleep too, in the meantime I will be renewing my team carb badge for breakfast!
