Christmas and new years babies thread!

Just got my bfp positive today and am thinking we need a thread for all the babies that will be born around new years and Christmas. I'm due new years eve and just know I'll be sick of the comments real quick! So we can vent and plan low stress xmases together.

I know we have the December thread and will have the January one, but why the hell not there's room for everyone!

Good luck NoArmarni, getting your notes is exciting! It makes it all so much more real. Good luck. I hope your midwife is lovely.

Thanks Tango, there hasn't been anymore spotting, might pick up some fybogel or however it's spelt, loosen me up a bit. Hope your spotting has stopped too, no worse feeling than blood in pregnancy.

Did your SIL have the baby yet cuppa (are you any closer to getting your house back)?

No more spotting here either, being calmer. Temporarily anyway. Have a SEVEN HOUR meeting today. Am going to be a shell come 5pm.

Have fun with your forms armani - it is always good to have your notes. Nice to make it "official". Next Tues for me. twiddles thumbs

CuppaSarah · 27/05/2015 10:09

Oh my goodness, I hope you survive the meeting! 7 hours sounds horrendous. Sil was meant to go to labour ward for her waters breaking yesterday noon. She arrives there this morning. She had a fast labour last time, so should have baby quickly once they're gone, but she'll be in overnight due to having gestational diabetes, so one more night with no sleep nephew and lovely in-laws. We're all driving each other slowly mad, as we live in a two up two down.

I've been at A&E, I'm bleeding. Having a scan tomorrow. Trying to stay calm until then

CuppaSarah · 28/05/2015 14:51

Oh NoArmarni I'm thinking of you. Be kind to yourself till tomorrow. My sil who just had a baby had two huge bleeds in the first trimester, she had no doubt her baby was gone. But it was just a small bleed behind the placenta, baby is absolutely fine. Half of all healthy pregnancies have bleeding. Flowers it will go very slowly, but minute by minute tomorrow will be here.

Fingers crossed Armani, will be thinking of you
I had bleeding with ds1 if it helps any, and he's totally fine

sherbertlemon17 · 28/05/2015 23:56

Good luck noArmani. I know how scary it is, so I'm sending huge hugs and positive thoughts!! Flowers

Cuppa, fingers crossed for a quiet house for you sooner rather than later!!

Counting down the days till next Wednesday over here. I'll be 12 weeks and have my scan!! How crazy is that. Confused

CuppaSarah · 29/05/2015 06:42

Thinking of you today NoArmarni.

Sil had her baby Wednesday and everyone finally left yesterday. Got a snotty letter from occupational health yesterday, as I've had my work phone off. Dreading calling them today but it needs doing, hopefully returning to work Monday won't be as bad as I expect.

Thanks, does anyone know what they will be looking for on the scan? I'm 9+2, will they be able to see a heartbeat?

CuppaSarah · 29/05/2015 08:36

Yes, there should be a heartbeat and it will be over the stomach most likely, but you may need transvaginal especially if they try and find the cause for the bleed. At 8 weeks I could see the eyes and limb buds. The heartbeat wasn't super obvious either so when I first looked I didn't think there was one, just to warn you. What time is your scan?

OP posts:
NoArmaniNoPunani · 29/05/2015 08:43

Thanks. That's reassuring. Scan is 10.30 so not long to wait now

OhHolyFuck · 29/05/2015 09:06

In news here, ds2 now has the pox! It's his second birthday this weekend too, doesn't look like we're doing much for that

CuppaSarah · 29/05/2015 13:13

YAY!!!! GIANT CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU!!!!!! you have made me day!!! Flowers did they find the cause? I hope it's just one of those things. I wish I could give you a huge hug right now.

Tangoandcreditcards · 29/05/2015 13:50

Good stuff armani so glad to hear it. Whoohoo for heartbeats.

And congratulations auntie cuppa - mainly for getting your house back, hopefully work will seem more surmountable now things are calmer on the home-front too! I am now 2 weeks from my first holiday since coming back from mat leave. (and my first scan) TICK. TOCK.

ohholyfuck you really do live up to your name don't you! Rest easy this weekend.

OhHolyFuck · 29/05/2015 14:37

Woohoo! Yay Armani! Grin

NoArmaniNoPunani · 29/05/2015 16:05

Thanks for your kind words. I need to catch up with what's going on for the rest of you now, I got caught up in my own little world until I knew everything was ok.

OhHolyFuck · 29/05/2015 17:12

Armani that's totally understandable, it must have been a really worrying time
Did they find out what caused it or just put it down as one of those things?

SweepTheHalls · 29/05/2015 17:30

Really pleased all is well for you Armani

CuppaSarah · 29/05/2015 17:32

You have every reason to have been focused on yourself NoArmarni. We're all just glad it's OK now.

oh my goodness, one of my closest friends from school, who moved away to Cyprus just messaged me to tell me she's pregnant asking for advice as I'm the only one of us to have had kids yet. Guess what? Her due date is 3 days before mine! I can't believe it, I am so stupidly thrilled for her and excited. You couldn't make it up! Feels like the sort of thing that only happens on itv original dramas.
