Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 26th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 42nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oLJqpadAb2givKYq8OJfGCti3s6xzsTGlI-GoaBfM_M/edit?pli=1#gid=0

mini that's mega exciting!!!!

teejayem · 29/04/2015 09:39

Bounce mini bounce!

High five for the soggy knickers club....glad all is okay tho dulce

Awww huge congratulations pixie :) squee!

Mr tee is wfh so I've had a lie in. Just as well, getting up for a wee last night, rolled out of bed as have been instructed and there was a terrible crunch in my sacro joint. Laid awake unmoving for about three hours petrified back is separating from pelvis ala Borg queen in Star Trek movie.
Have also been told I need to stop taking co codamol soon as well, I can get one more prescription and then that's it, I just need to manage on paracetamol. I think I am going to be begging the consultant next week for early release if this crunchy thing is now the norm :(

RhiannonElward · 29/04/2015 09:46

Ooooooooooh! go Mini! Fx for you, it's too exciting. I'll be hovering for news all day Grin

Pixie Congratulations! How lovely. Sorry to hear that your lo is under the weather though, how is she today?

Dulcet so glad you got checked and all seems to be well, it's never a waste of time to get checked over so don't worry about that :)

Batfish I think it's really hard to tell if you'll feel up to it, some people feel great and others don't. Personally I wouldn't be booking anything so long that late on, it's just a risk that you might not feel up to it and you'll have wasted money if you can't go for any reason. I'd vote for playing it safe with a shorter flight at least if I were you. A summer holiday sounds lovely though, I'm very jealous :)

As I typed this I think I felt first baby movement. Yay!

splodge77 · 29/04/2015 09:49

Argh Tee that doesn't sound good. Your poor back/ pelvis!
Go mini, go mini! Hope things are moving along. Back to waiting game here. Think the twinges yesterday we're just more wind!! Nice.
I wouldn't worry too much re antibios. I've had em 3 times during this preg for chest infections & cystitis. Docs only give u the ones that are safe.
Ugh hope I can avoid induction if this babe continues to be shy. Hopefully they'll let me go to 42 weeks without doing anything, esp as my original due date was 3rd May.

ChatEnOeuf · 29/04/2015 09:54

Glad things are OK Dulcet, never wasting time to check.

Congrats Pixie!

10.7 isn't terribly low but it's only going to go in one direction unless you do something, Fleur. Iron tablets will sort it, but do bung you up. Floradix and spatone may well do the trick. Presume they're planning to check you again in a few weeks, so maybe give one of those a go until then?

Tee why have you been told to lay off the codeine? The risk of harm/dependence in the baby is very low, and if you need the pain relief, surely you need it...? Seems a bit harsh when you're carrying more baby around to suddenly remove most of the pain relief.

Eeek, Mini! - my contractions were ten minutes apart until about 90 minutes before birth...just saying Wink

Splodge, how are you doing?

I'm still sick. I feel utterly crap and miserable. Need drugs, can't have any, think I'm getting a wee infection. Going through the various timetables of who is around and when, when it comes to delivery is giving me a headache (at least I hope that's what is giving me a headache...). First of our June babies was born a couple of days ago though, v cute :)

ChatEnOeuf · 29/04/2015 09:57

Cross-posted there Splodge - hopefully you can avoid induction.

Bat I flew long-haul at 23w and felt completely fine (the jetlagged toddler was by far the hardest part). I think I could have done it at 28-30 but you'll need a note from your doc. Unfortunately you can't tell how things will be by then...crystal balls would make this whole process a whole lot less stressful.

Purpleball · 29/04/2015 10:36

Eeek Mini hope it's a short pain free one Smile

Pixie huuuuge congrats GrinI love weddings and loved planning mine too Smile

Dentist thinks abscess will go on its own but gave me erythromycin just in case, telling me to speak to GP before taking it. I'm allergic to penicillin

Bat I don't think I'd fancy a flight then. I've got one to Belfast at about 24 weeks and I'm not looking forward to it. It will be a tiny cramped plane though Hmm

Jcandy · 29/04/2015 10:48

Ooo mini good luck! Hope it carries on for you and is relatively speedy Smile

Stupid sickness, working from home this morning so I don't have to go too far from a bathroom. It's not too bad but I'm tired from the lack of sleep so I think that's making me feel worse

RPopz · 29/04/2015 11:12

Labour pom poms Mini! Grin

I flew at about 25 weeks Bat and it was absolutely fine. Its your call entirely but 7 hours is a long time. I think 30 weeks was about when I started feeling seriously pregnant!

LaLaLaaaa · 29/04/2015 11:24

Wheeeeeeeee!!! Grads baby on the way, bounce mini bounce!

I am so excited for you!

Mountain I wish I could sleeeeeep! I'm so tired.

Rhi hooray for movement :)

Bat I think it's really hard as everyone's different. I don't think I'd feel like a long plane journey just now. I get sore sitting for long periods of time, plus needing to wee often.

LaLaLaaaa · 29/04/2015 11:36

Floridex was the other one I was recommended. I'm sending Dh off to get Spatone today for me

Fleurchamp · 29/04/2015 11:51

Hmm, maybe I will just take the tablets and eat lots of prunes Confused

I am flying in a couple of weeks. Nervous about my fit to fly letter. They were very non committal about it, I have to request it two weeks before and have had to have an extra mw appt before the Dr will sign.

I do not like the uncertainty. I knew we shouldn't have booked it, we're taking DH's mum. She is beyond excited and DH is now saying if I can't go the whole thing is off, when I told him from the off that he couldn't let her down.

She's a widow and so holidays are few and far between unless she goes alone or with us.

teejayem · 29/04/2015 12:37

It's another case of different hcps saying different things again chat I understand that the risk is taking it close to delivery basically has the same side effects as diamorph or peth on the baby. Just significantly watered down. GP said he won't prescribe it for these reasons, but consultant said its fine to take and dihydrocodiene is given to ladies in early labour at the hospital, and then the MW was just non committal. I get prescribed 100 at a time which usually lasts me 2/3 weeks, I try to only take them before bed and then in middle of day as they make me sleepy, but since crunchy crunch episode last night I'm max dosing. I don't know if my pelvis has shifted or something but I've had some really harsh Tonis (vvv irregular) and baby seems like he's rolling about a lot. I do wonder if he's dropped a bit again and it's sparked the whole thing off.

Might have a bath, Mr Tee can winch me out if required.... :)

DulcetMoans · 29/04/2015 13:53

Come on mini!! Get ready to puuuuushhhhh!! Who will do the next thread though - can you get that done first?? Wink

Sounds horrible tee! Hard to know who to listen to when it's like that. If GP won't prescribe and you still need it, what then?

First of the June babies was born chat?! Argh! That's a scary thought. The numbers keep getting lower for all of us! Sorry you still feel shitty though. Do you know any secret drugs you ca take while pg? If not, chocolate again I guess. And you get the real stuff from Belguim!

What did you feel rhi - flutters or kicks?! Yay!

Interesting flight discussions - work want me to go to Newcastle which DH has forbidden but I said I could get a flight before I realised maybe not! Not going now anyway. Why does DH say you have to go fleur? Is it he doesn't want to be away from you or doesn't want to be alone with him mum??

Fleurchamp · 29/04/2015 13:57

dulcet he reckons if I am
Not fit to fly them I am also not fit to be left home alone although the thought of this is quite appealing

Also, he can only take his mum in small doses. Does anyone else's DH turn into Kevin the teenager around their parents?!?

gaggiagirl · 29/04/2015 14:16

Yes fleur god yes.
MiL: Ooh Mr gaggia, where are you and Mrs gaggia going on Sunday? Any where nice?
Mr gaggia: Out.
Me: we are going to X on Sunday MiL
Mr gaggia: Dont tell her that! She might want to come, urgh mam mind your own business!

Purpleball · 29/04/2015 14:31

Haha Gaggia

Dulcet how many weeks will you be? Is the train a better option?

I've promised my boss I'll do the train instead of driving where possible but I'm never going to city centres, they are always suburban or small towns or rural which means dependence on taxis and being stuck in a hotel room. At least if I have the car I can find shops for a mooch

Fleur just make sure your travel insurance people know that you're pregnant. You'll need a letter from docs.

I've just booked my flights for 24 weeks, fortunately I'm only going to Belfast and I can fly from my local airport. I suppose I need a letter too

RhiannonElward · 29/04/2015 14:40

Fleur my dp is ridiculous around his parents. Honestly, it's so bad that he refuses to wear a seat belt when in the back of their car and hides it so they won't notice. He's 37! It drives me up the wall. He has got a bit better lately, but there are still streaks of it. I don't know whether to laugh at him or take his tablet away until he can prove himself.

Dulcet it was a flutter but a big one, I thought I wouldn't remember what it felt like but as soon as I felt it I knew exactly what it was. It's brilliant, and I've felt a couple more since.

Tee It's shit that you'll have to do without the painkillers, maybe see a different doctor who might be able to help you. A bath sounds like a plan, too, take snacks and a nice cup of tea in with you, so if you get stuck you can have a picnic while you await help from dp :)

batfish · 29/04/2015 14:40

Thanks for the flying advice! I've had an easy time up to now but who knows if that will continue so maybe I am best playing it safe with a shorter flight.

rhiannon how exciting that you had a baby movement! I thought I might have done this week but I think probably too early for me seeing as first baby - felt like an eye twitch but in baby area if that makes sense so not sure what else it could have been but won't get my hopes up!

Purpleball · 29/04/2015 15:06

Tee is there anything that helps? Physio, massage, baths?
What about something like Volterol?

My friend is in constant pain with her back, she went to a pain management clinic, a lot of it is breathing exercises and relaxation techniques.

I'm just trying to think of alternatives to painkillers. I can see why they wouldn't want you taking them all the time but it's rough if you need them. I don't envy you, I'd hate to be in constant pain.

Yayy for movement Rhiannon, I'm loving the little flutters I get now. I might be fed up when I'm getting booted later though Smile

Purpleball · 29/04/2015 15:07

Bat that could have been movement. It feels like being tickled from the inside but it's very gentle at first. Imagine if you ran a feather over your skin but inside

KatoPotato · 29/04/2015 15:07

Have to agree. At 25/26 weeks I was still doing crossfit! By week 30 it was jammies, blanket and rolling myself off the sofa!

DulcetMoans · 29/04/2015 15:12

I will be one day off 37 weeks purple, day before I go on mat leave as well! It's ok, I have come to the conclusion it's a no go. Normally it is in London so it is a shame as I would have liked to present.

That's lovely rhi. It is nice when you start feeling it all. Except at bed time. You'll get there bat! I think I felt mine quite early, around 12 weeks. Just flicks and flutters but it was something unusual.

DH can be annoying about his parents fleur, he generally leaves them for me to deal with which is annoying. He won't be grown up enough to tell his Mum he loves her and she gets really sad about it sometimes - then I get all the grief! How far away are they going? If it's not too far maybe he can be convinced - although harder if he just doesn't want to!

minimooo · 29/04/2015 15:40

Loving the funny dh stories! Grin Mine's not too bad around his mum, but is really strict with her as she can be a bit overbearing.

Yay for movements rhi, that's so exciting. I reckon that could well be movements bat, mine felt like eye twitches (in the belly) at first.

What a crappy situation with the pain meds tee. Sounds really painful. How silly that they won't give them to you as your getting to the last bit. Can it be helped with any alternative therapies? Maybe aromatherapy or acupuncture or something? (Acupuncture will now forevermore be my go-to therapy! Wink)

Contractions now about 4-6 mins apart, lasting about 40 secs, so it all seems to be moving in the right direction. Still very comfortable at home so staying put here for a while yet.

bounce bounce bounce Grin

batfish · 29/04/2015 16:10

Eeeek mini how exciting!

Thanks for the encouragement about possible movement, I told my friend (who had a baby recently) and she said it was unlikely so I felt a bit silly! I do think it is quite early but I am almost 17 weeks (or over if you believe new due date) so not like I'm claiming movement at 10 weeks. But whether it is or not it is making me feel less nervous about scan on Saturday so it's a good thing if I believe!
