I've been having lots of dizzy spells too and the craziest dreams my god last's night was messed up what is going on with my brain?! I should note them all done would make great tv lol

abi2790 · 13/04/2015 08:48

That's great news thepug, congratulations!

Haribo I know what you mean about the dizziness. I keep getting the feeling I am going to faint for a few seconds on and off through the day.

My symptoms have been on and off all weekend. I feel nausous after eating certain things and my fatigue has been on and off too. It wasn't too bad yesterday but it's come back with a vengeance today! Funny how it comes back the day ds is back in nursery and it's a mile walk each way! Maybe the exercise will help though?

1wilma1 · 13/04/2015 09:36

Can I join the bus please? Got my surprise bfp last week and im still reeling from the shock, we are just coming to the end of having some building work done and in the process we had a major sort out and gave away all of our remaining baby bits and maternity clothes. Sods law that I should find out Im pregnant again just weks later but c'est la vie it must have been meant to beSmile.

Serenity05 · 13/04/2015 10:29

Welcome Wilma, and congratulations!

I've just seen the midwife at my GP surgery and she's referred me for my booking-in appointment. It's all feeling a bit real now! I'm very happy though that I don't have to go to my horrible local hospital which is currently under review following a number of deaths. The hospital I'm going to is a bit further away from us but still fairly easy to get to and the extra distance is totally worth it.

dojo123 · 13/04/2015 10:36

Morning ladies.

Well the nausea or unsettled stomach has started. I don't seem to get first thing but mid morning (yesterday and Saturday were the same) have a bottle of water an a bag of dried fruit and nuts next to me at my desk to help.
Feeling shattered abs freezing. Hope the weather does improve on Wednesday as I think I might be turning in to a reptile and need the sun on me to function!

Don't mean to be moany. I blame Monday mornings!

Hope you all had a good weekend. Welcome to all the newbie BAPS.

Sweets27 · 13/04/2015 10:45

Morning all! Smile

Welcome wifey with and wilma, and congrats on the BFPs!! Grin

namechange, I am having the weirdest dreams too. Last night's was more of a nightmare, upsettingly, so my sleep was quite fitful and I woke up feeling really stressed out. I need more pleasant dreams, I think...

dojo, sorry to hear about the nausea. Sounds tough. At least you can take it as a positive sign that the pregnancy's good and healthy, even if that's small comfort when you're feeling really rough. Like someone else who mentioned this yesterday (I forget who - sorry!) - I'm almost a little jealous of those suffering from nausea, as I've not got too many symptoms at the moment except for tiredness and achey boobs. I'd hang on to anything that looked like it meant a strong and sticky bean!

afloat · 13/04/2015 10:59

Morning all. Uuuuh I was kind of hoping to see some pregnancy symptoms, to feel it's more "real". I just got my first hit of nausea and, yep, I definitely regret hoping for it. Why not achy boobs instead?

NicNak22 · 13/04/2015 11:20

Morning ladies,

I would love to join you all please, got my BFP yesterday (officially this morning)

This will be baby number 1 I'm very excited also terrified at all the possibilities.

Namechanged101 · 13/04/2015 11:26

Welcome newbies :)
Right got GP app for tonight finally after 5 phones and very frustrating conversation with the receptionist
Me: hi can I have the latest app you have for today please?
Her: what time did you want?
Me: what time are you open until?
Her: what time do you want?
Me: whatever the last app is please?
Her: yes but time do you want?
Me: 8pm?
Her: we close at 7 the last app we have is 6.50.
Me: ok that's fine Confused

Why not just that then?!

dojo123 · 13/04/2015 11:33

namechange I can imagine you banging you head against a brick wall with that phone call. Wow was it so difficult for them to say "our last appointment available is 6:50pm as we close at 7!" Sometimes you do wonder with some people Confused

Sweets27 · 13/04/2015 11:40

Haha namechanged. Gotta love a helpful GP receptionist.

Metalhead · 13/04/2015 12:13

I'm also feeling a bit nauseous today, and my stomach is doing all sorts of weird rumbling noises. I've also been having quite a lot of stretching and cramping the last few days. Still managed to go out for a short run today (well, when I say run, I mean very gentle jog) so quite proud of myself! Smile

namechanged some people just seem to want to make life unnecessarily complicated for everyone else!

I'm still waiting to hear back from my GP about my blood pressure, the nurse said they'd phone me with an appointment.

Sweets27 · 13/04/2015 12:29

Hi nicnak and welcome!! Smile

metal, fingers crossed for the appt to come through soon. As for going for a run, are you normally a keen runner? I ask because I do sometimes run, and ran a half marathon in early March, but I've not been running/jogging for a while and I'm definitely less fit than I was then. Being less fit makes me a bit nervous about running in these first few months - I want to get some exercise, but the general wisdom seems to be that although you should continue your 'usual' exercise regime, you shouldn't push yourself too far or ramp it up. Cannot decide whether going for a run now would count as ramping it up!

sweets I was only ever a recreational runner, at my best I could do maybe 25-30 minutes slow jogging. At the moment I'm taking it really easy. So literally doing maybe 1-2 laps at the track then a bit of walking, then another lap, more walking etc. for about half an hour.

NicNak22 · 13/04/2015 13:09

Anyone else switching to decaf tea? am I being paranoid?

Just going for my scan they managed to fit me in today so fingers crossed il keep u posted Confused

shinysparklythings · 13/04/2015 13:20

Well I rang the gp and they have me the number to self refer. After it being engaged for 30mins I finally got through and I'm now registered with the midwife! Have to wait for appointments through the post. Said booking in normally between 8-10 and scan 12-14! Feeling a bit more real now!

nik yup I'm on decaf tea! Then I don't need to worry about how many I have.Grin

Karelia81 · 13/04/2015 13:22

Afternoon all - may I join your bus? Had bfp last Thursday - do all the days go this slowly? This is our first and hasn't really sunk in yet.

I've hit the redbush tea myself Nicnak, makes a nice change from the PG tips.

Namechanged101 · 13/04/2015 13:23

Yep Nik I've been on decaf tea too I drink endless cups so had to swap still have 1 normal tea first thing and have been having diet coke can here and there too but within limits so not too worried maybe I should though last time I banned coke altogether

dojo123 · 13/04/2015 13:24

nik I was even on decaf during ttc. DH bought me some decaf coffee beans so I could have a proper cup of coffee. I hadn't had coffee since Christmas so the coffee this weekend was amazing!

Sweets27 · 13/04/2015 13:26

Thanks sparkle and metal, I might go for a very relaxed jog tonight after work and see how I feel.

Exciting sparkly - definitely feels more real once you've spoken to the midwife! Hope you get your booking in appointment soon. I'm waiting for mine at the moment and checking the post obsessively every day...

Welcome karelia, and congratulations!

nicnak I'm allowing myself one cup of normal tea a day if I feel like I really need it. Otherwise, decaf coffee to trick my body (used to be a real coffee fiend), and mint tea or other herbal teas. Guidance is that you can have a certain level of caffeine every day, though, and I think it works out at 2 cups of tea or 1 cup of normal filter coffee.

1wilma1 · 13/04/2015 13:31

toadie can I be added to the stats list please? Im 38 and this will be dc#6 due 6th Dec. thanks

Metalhead · 13/04/2015 13:33

NHS guidance says up to 200mg of caffeine a day is fine (which is about 2 cups of instant coffee or 3 cups of tea I think), so I'm having a weak latte in the mornings and one cup of tea after lunch.
