Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 25th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 42nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

The stats sheet will be linked to by our stats hero La (can't do on iPad sorry!)

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Men are fucking useless! Angry

5hell · 13/04/2015 11:34

morning viroids, still bleeding lightly (although this is obv v subjective, so who knows), still have morning sickness (aka all day nausea) but feel less bloated than of that so v unsure what's going on. roll on 9:40 tomorrow

cant wait to be (hopefully) thinking about buying a few things, but the choice is pretty overwhelming. hoping to get some freebies and tips from my mum-friends (I'm pretty late to the baby party compared to most I know)

Fattycow · 13/04/2015 11:48

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow, 5hell.

WilHarlot · 13/04/2015 12:41

Good luck tomorrow 5hell.

What's up Fatty?

daisyspice · 13/04/2015 13:21

Good luck tomorrow 5shell!!

I'm just going for my scan just now Confused feels like I might have arse rain just at the thought of it especially dildo cam!!

Purpleball · 13/04/2015 13:35

Good luck 5hell and Daisy. Gx for sticky beans

LaLaLaaaa · 13/04/2015 13:42

Good luck both of you xxx

Fleurchamp · 13/04/2015 13:52

Good luck ladies!

I had dildo cam unexpectedly at 20 week scan. It was ok, just the embarrassment factor - my poor DH blushed Blush

mountaingirl01 · 13/04/2015 14:44

Good luck daisy! ...why fleur?!

PixieChops · 13/04/2015 15:22

Good luck Daisy and 5hell!
How much of an age gap have you got between your toddler and newborn wil? There'll only be about 12 months 2 weeks between my two and I'm shitting myself!
Fully overdosed on "family time" this weekend. Ended up spending about 9 hours with MIL on Saturday and then had to go to SILs house on Sunday for food and PILs where there too ConfusedConfused. I don't like spending that much time with my own family never mind someone else's!
Been to the docs after an hours waiting time.. Apparently DD doesn't have asthma.. How reliable that information is I don't know but according to them she's got a virus as her temperature was slightly raised. I was diagnosed with asthma when I was 2 years old. It's very unlikely she won't have it.

ChatEnOeuf · 13/04/2015 15:38

Good luck Daisy, thinking of you too, 5hell

Wil it's probably nothing you've done wrong - some babies are just like that. I could have pushed the bottle issue further with DD, but actually I didn't want all that screaming and misery. The benefits weren't worth it, so I just fed her. Who knows if she would have eventually got the hang of it.

I've had too many dildocams to mention - mostly checking cervical length.

What's up Fatty?

Fleur I hope your baby has read your DH's timetable... Hmm

ChatEnOeuf · 13/04/2015 15:43

Knew I missed something. Pixie most GPs would be terrified at the prospect of diagnosing asthma in anyone under 2. I know I don't label them very early as so many will 'grow out of' their symptoms with or without intervention. Especially if they only wheeze when snotty. I'm all for trying preventative treatment though, especially if they get symptoms in between snot. Relievers are harder to judge as so many under a year just haven't got the receptors that the drugs act on, so they're useless (and can be distressing). Worth a try if she's struggling I guess.

WilHarlot · 13/04/2015 15:44

They're so crap about it Pixie.
I have a way bigger age gap than you - 2 1/2 years. But I have found the toddler much harder work since she turned two. I used to look after children with an age gap similar to yours and it was actually ok. The hardest thing was it was very physical as the big one still needed carried a lot and they're still in the small car seat etc. Like anything though it depends on the personality of the children. Is your DD quite easy going or pretty demanding?

Fattycow · 13/04/2015 15:45

I'm trying to sort out a nice gift for my DH's birthday and his friends are being immature dicks.

freshstart4us · 13/04/2015 16:04

Hello viroids! Just catching up with all the chat, I never manage to keep up let alone contribute anything useful over the weekend!

mini I hope the funeral wasnt too taxing for you. Definitely have my empathy on the complicated family front, hence living on the other side of the world from my own.

wil that is a tough gap. 2-3 is still quite hard work, my DD is now 3.5 and I am finding it much easier explaining things to her than other friends with a smaller gap, and as you say, she needs less carrying and such. Prob not ideal for the playing together factor, but as I have no family support it will work much better for us to have the larger gap. Very much beyond my control, though! pixie with 2 under 2, you have my ETERNAL admiration.

Re: breastfeeding and pumps and such, I used the Avent Isis and can recommend it 100%, although I dont know if they make that particular model anymore the range would all be quite similar I think. Also highly recommend Lansinoh for your nips to be used generously in the first few weeks and during any teething periods.

I had bought the Avent starter bottle pack and steriliser beforehand but didnt end up using any of the kit until after DD was past the recommended first month to have bfing well established, but I was very lucky, she never refused a bottle and while she had about a week where she could have been described as colicky, we started using Infacol and that really helped her windiness (and made her burps smell deliciously orange-y), so can recommend that too.

I can recommend also a movement and sound monitor (we have the Angelcare one but Im sure there are others) I used to just watch her until I was sure she was breathing initially and having the little metronomey thing on the monitor was enormous reassurance!

JC re so many things to buy, yes, youll prob buy everything. Grin And, if you do have a second, it is quite possible you will then not buy ANYthing. Weirdly I have now realised (somewhat belatedly) that babies actually dont need that much. However, it didnt stop me buying ALL THE THINGS the first time round so it really is only experience that teaches that one!

And finally fatty yes, men are COMPLETELY useless about that sort of thing. Brew and Cake for you!!

God - epic post, sorry!!

Fattycow · 13/04/2015 16:09

Tea and cake sound really appealing. Sod eating healthy!

WilHarlot · 13/04/2015 16:24

Ah Fresh, once you reach the golden age of free nursery hours all is good Grin .

I feel like we need to know more Fatty!

freshstart4us · 13/04/2015 16:28

wil I completely agree. It is in some respects much easier to come to work than it would be to entertain a 3 year all day now I am huge and running out of steam, so having a 2nd might actually work out for Fleur even though the work/toddler thing sounds a bit daunting.

Fleurchamp · 13/04/2015 17:14

mountain it was to check cervical length (all ok by the way, my cervix got a gold star Grin) but I thought they only used the dildo for early pregnancy Blush I felt too embarrassed to refuse!

I was born 6 weeks early, my sister 5 weeks and both of hers have been a few weeks early too - I guess they decided to do it because of that Confused

DH thought the sonographer was just kinky Grin

Ah yes fatty I can completely sympathise. I ended up having to organise most of DH's best friend's stag do - it was like trying to round up kittens - DH was getting in such a muddle. One even emailed to ask what he should pack I replied (as my DH) telling him to ask his mum Smile

Fattycow · 13/04/2015 17:40

I have posted it in the July thread, will copy and paste it to here.

Fattycow · 13/04/2015 17:43

So, I have thought of a nice big gift: a set of garden furniture. We are not going anywhere this summer, so I was thinking a nice set of furniture so we can actually enjoy our garden. I know my DH would like this, as he has been talking about making the garden look pretty and getting a nice set.

I made a whatsapp group and texted his friends that I was hoping to get a nice set and would they all like to contribute to it? It is fairly normal in his groep to buy a big gift together, so nothing out of the ordinary there.

Now I'm getting replies such as 'a playboy and a snickers', 'a bag of marbles' and nonsense like that. Why are they being so childish???

daisyspice · 13/04/2015 17:52

Fatty all men are childish mines likes to draw cocks at every opportunity!

So had my scan nothing could be seen so not sure if it's too early to tell had bloods taken and to go back on Wednesday for the next set so should hopefully know one way or the other by Wednesday afternoon!Confused

Dildo cam was not to bad although I was more disturbed by the industrial sized condom that went on top mate I am also childish Wink

teejayem · 13/04/2015 18:31

Just got back from visiting friend, ate my weight in ice cream sundae and she bought me a AMAZING geek thing (will post pic on FB)

Is it bedtime yet....?

Fx for you daisy glad it wasn't too traumatic....

I don't know whether to just get a pump now if I can express and try a bottle from 3-4 weeks, hummmm.

I never had dildocam. Had plenty of speculum examinations tho...

PixieChops · 13/04/2015 18:58

So tried writing a reply but twice it has disappeared! The gist of my message was:

DD is not so much mentally challenging but she's physically challenging, she has to do something every day otherwise she's just nuts. She can do everything but walk. Never known a child to be able to climb as well as she can without being able to walk first! She climbs on everyone and everything! She has a couple of naps a day but only for about an hour each and then when she's up she doesn't stop until it's time for bed. I pretty much collapse into bed every night and I'm finding it harder as I get more pregnant. I'm 30 weeks this week and it's going so quickly.

With relation to DD possibly having asthma I think it's a given that she'll have it. I do feel like I've been fobbed off but I was diagnosed with it when I was 2 and my mum was fobbed off with me for ages.
I was quite a sickly child as well because I had asthma, food allergies, eczema, hay fever and epilepsy! God knows how my poor mother managed all that on her own with no help from anyone, she was a young mum as well, she had me at just 21 whereas I had DD at 28.

mountaingirl01 · 13/04/2015 19:43

Another bfp on grads!

I feel awful today. Another terrible headache that is making me feel sick :( even walking hurts
