Ooh cinnamon!! GrinGrin Exciting!

roastpots · 07/04/2015 11:53

Cinnamon that's fantastic - should mean that things get going OK even if they do need to use the pessary. Good luck!!!

Wow cinnamon if everything keeps going by itself you've finally had a labour that's not been induced. Grin

Wineandchoccy · 07/04/2015 12:05

Ohh exciting news Cinnamon

RL I've had no BH, show or other signs yet either

I had emptied the kitchen cupboards when my SIL and nephew decided to call round and disturb me for an hour 1/2, they have just gone and now I want some lunch but every work surface is full in the kitchen.
At least my nephew made himself useful by brushing the cat so that's one less job to do Grin

daholster · 07/04/2015 12:12

Wow cinnamon hooray for your body giving it a go! I reeeeally hope it works... The cervical fiddle by the midwife should have helped...

Sitting in Saintsbury's Starbucks waiting for the garage to look at my car. Tuna panini and maple macchiato later and I'll walk back and see what they say. My pocket has been saved by the fact that they have run out of the cutest clothes that are in dd's size. She is 23 months so nearly 2. Age 2-3 here goes from 96cm. My daughter is pretty average sized compared to her friends... She is 82cm... Hmm in this shop she should be wearing age 12-18m still, but then the arms are short!!! Even the Sainsbury's lady agreed with me that the clothes do look huge... The age 2-3 summer raincoat I picked up looked like an infant school child could wear it!!!

Will be watching for updates labouring ladies! Grin

daholster · 07/04/2015 12:20

Hm I think maybe the HVeasured her wrong looking at the internet. She's written 82cm but that drops her from 50th to under 2nd centile... And she isn't small compared to compatriots. And you'd think the HV would fuss about that? Maybe she is 92cm... Seems more sensible. I am going to measure her this evening!!!

BrixtonBunny · 07/04/2015 12:41

Well it's definitely my waters as I've soaked through three pads now (and the front of my jeans on my way back from the shops Blush). Have stocked up on biscuits and milk and instant coffee, and smoothies / coconut water etc so feeling happier.

Going to call midwife, will let you know what they say!

Cinnamon that's amazing news - keeping everything crossed (apart from my legs!) that you have a fab birth.

Wineandchoccy · 07/04/2015 12:44

It's all happening today isn't it, good luck Brixton

Nunkie · 07/04/2015 12:45

Ooo, Brixton, that's impeccable timing isn't it, waters going right on your due date? (I remember because it was also my due date :0)

And cinnamonbest of luck today! Sounds like things are already kicking into gear. You'll walk it! (Or should I say 'jog it' Wink)

Ew - just as I felt I was turning a corner with the breastfeeding.. bleeding nipples - bleurgh! Quite common I gather, but still psychologically quite off-putting. And not great to think about little Eva 's meal being tainted - tho I'm sure she couldn't care less if she gets a little extra iron... Confused

cinnamongreyhound · 07/04/2015 12:50

Walking around while dh gets lunch, I've had mine. She will examine me again when back and hope contractions are useful, they're bareable so far with nothing but feels too close together to be useful but what do I know! Midwife is impressed that her presence has induced me!

Good luck BrixtonBunny, hope you're waters going starts everything else off.

Hope everyone else is enjoying the sunshine!

daholster · 07/04/2015 13:04

Eeeeeep brixton!!! I hope everything kicks off soon so that you can have the home birth you want Flowers

cinnamon mine were that close last time and worked fine... Hope yours do too!

Car another £200 back by Thursday pm. sigh

Lauren82000 · 07/04/2015 13:20

It's finally sunny up here but now I'm feeling lazy and don't think I can be bothered to walk to asda. Contemplating a short nap now I've had my dinner.

BananaToast · 07/04/2015 13:22

Ooh that sounds v positive cinnamon - would be lovely if you didn't need inducing at all!

daholster I feel your car pain. Took mine for a quote for repairs earlier and it's going to be £300 and will take 2 days to fix. They are doing it early next week so fingers crossed baby stays put for those few days! Don't fancy being without a car when I need to get to hospital if I can avoid it.

Just lying out in the sunshine - this is exactly what I had in mind when I thought of being on maternity leave in April Grin

BrixtonBunny · 07/04/2015 13:27

Midwife is going to pop over in half an hour to do a routine antenatal check and listen in to baby, she sounded very relaxed and lovely.

FiRaffe · 07/04/2015 13:33

Great news Brixton and cinnamon!

Bad news on the car daholster, but I guess it could have been worse and at least it's only a couple of days before it's fixed.

I'm in quite a lot of pain thanks to the yodel man. He delivered the cot but left it propped against our bin outside and literally ran off. I thought he was maybe going for another box but then heard the van drive off! Had to get the massive box inside myself and bump isn't happy! Hopefully after some rest it'll calm down

LadyNovember · 07/04/2015 13:55

Good luck Brixton!! Grin

skyra13 · 07/04/2015 14:41

Go on girls tour cab do it :) good luck Braxton and cinnamon!
RL I have no had any Braxton hicks or anything I lost some plug due to sweeps but nothing and I was due yesterday waiting to be seen at clinic been waiting an hour takes ages! X

cinnamongreyhound · 07/04/2015 14:55

Call and complain FiRaffe!!!!

Last three were quite serious! She's still not re examined me but wants to out monitor back on for a bit.

RL20 · 07/04/2015 15:36

Yes I would definitely complain FiRaffe. That's not good at all!

Aww skyra, think of it this way, you'll have baby with you in less than 2 weeks now Smile.

Well have been to Asda for the food shop, was going to do it online and get it delivered so I didn't have to walk up the flat stairs with the bags, but didn't get chance yesterday and really needed food in today as we didn't have much! So took my mum with me and she helped me in with the shopping instead.
Why does food shopping seem to take up half of the day?!
I feel like the day has gone now, so I'm sitting at mums sort of neither here nor there, not really sure what to do with myself!

RL20 · 07/04/2015 15:38

Also I know we've all been weeing lots but is anyone literally non stop? It seems as though not half an hour passes where I don't go to the loo!
Were getting through no end of toilet roll!

Siarie · 07/04/2015 15:46

Just to update here as well, I'm being induced tomorrow. I don't know how long it will take, apparently it can take days. But had to be done, baby is measuring 10lbs at 37 weeks from growth scan and what with the itching it's time to vacate.

So now I'm frantically organising, I have estate agents coming tomorrow and Thursday as they want to show people around. Trying to clean up and sort my cats out. Madness.

Lauren82000 · 07/04/2015 16:03

How's it going Cinnamon any advances?

cinnamongreyhound · 07/04/2015 16:13

Exciting Sairie! I guess the earlier you're induced the longer it may take but you have been having contractions so may be a good sign.

I am now dilated enough to get hook in but no space on delivery suite to break waters so waiting now. Definitely no prostin due to contracting regularly.

RL20 · 07/04/2015 16:20

Wow Siarie, good luck, like cinnamon said it could take longer as you are earlier but these babies seem to be appearing whenever they want so you really never know!
Was that the first growth scan you had? Or had they been expecting the weight?
Hopefully your itching suffering will soon be over, or at least they could try and stabilise it!
Doesn't sound like a great time for people to be coming round either, could you possibly tell the estate agent the situation?

Good luck Cinnamon! What's the hook?! Blush
