cinnamon the oven is DH's job in our house too! He did tell me off when he saw me cleaning the windows and said I should let him do it and rest instead but I don't feel like resting, I want to be doing something or time will go soooo slowly over the next few weeks!

BananaToast · 04/04/2015 18:54

Cross posted - Brixton if it's unusual for you it may be worth calling a midwife to ask the question. It's probably nothing to worry about but any change in movement should be checked out I think, but they prob worry more about reduced movement than increased.

FiRaffe · 04/04/2015 19:21

No harm in phoning, they can always say that it sounds normal and to call back if things change! Hope all is okay!

cinnamongreyhound · 04/04/2015 19:26

I wouldn't worry about a very active baby BrixtonBunny but if you are worrying then worth a call.

Windows are his job too BananaToast!

BrixtonBunny · 04/04/2015 19:35

I've just had a bath and baby seems to have settled down a bit (still moving but having less of a party) - might have supper and see how I go, and if baby starts going wild again I'll call. I don't "feel" like anything is wrong, but they do say if you have movement changes to call! Thanks for the quick replies anyway. Smile

Will read back properly soon, hope everyone is having a lovely Easter weekend so far Thanks

Brixton I once rang about bump being over active and was told as long as she is still moving after the big movements then it should not be nothing to worry about. She said if she was not moving after then to call back if I was worried. Hope that helps.

I clean my oven door about once every 3 months I hate my oven!

FiRaffe · 04/04/2015 19:42

Blimey skyra! I might get the oven clean people in over the summer when lo is a bit bigger and we can go out in the sunshine rather sit in the fumes!

skyra13 · 04/04/2015 19:58

I clean the door lol but most the time it does not look like it had been cleaned have to get a wire brush on it!! I have a thing that sits at the bottom and change it about once a year that catches any food.
My grill I just use tin foil on!

Cleaned house changed bedding and bathed and dryed the dog feeling pooped now!

RL20 · 04/04/2015 20:32

Brixton I echo what the others have said and would personally call, but I am a natural worrier so I would always rather have peace of mind, purely because I would drive myself crazy with overthinking if I didn't call!
As said, I think they say to call with any change in movement.
Hope all is ok, I'm sure it is!

Skyra I'm not surprised you're feeling pooped! I've been meaning to change the bedding since yesterday morning but haven't got the energy to do it! It's king size so seems to take me ages!

Well have just got back from the local shopping centre down the road, which closed at 8pm. It's closed tomorrow (as are most places, I think?) so with other half being out I debated for ages whether to nip to Boots or not, and ended up going last minute at around quarter to 7!
Got a foundation sample of Estée Lauder Double Wear and she also gave me some skincare sample products too, as I mentioned I was lazy with my skincare routine! What I meant by that was that it's actually non-existent other than a face wipe and the occasional moisturiser Blush. She commented that she wanted to exfoliate my face and that I should start doing that because of the flaky skin bits - whoops! So that's a job for when I get in the bath.

What are everyone's plans for tomorrow, then?

skyra13 · 04/04/2015 21:07

RL My bed takes forever as me and DH have different covers each I have about 10 pillows since I have been pregnant to I also have a folded quilt i sleep on my side to support my back so its a mission was puffing like a 20 a day smoker after!

My skin care routine is poor I will put some moisturiser on If my skin is feeling flaky lol

My plans for tomorrow is to walk about a car boot to try ant get this baby moving lol then dinner at In laws :)

Lauren82000 · 04/04/2015 21:09

I've either got trapped wind or it's started (mild period cramps)Shock I'm betting it trapped wind though. Sad

daholster · 04/04/2015 21:16

Lucy don't know, did wonder about uti but I don't feel ill.

Top of bump is SO sore from using roller and lifting far too much today... But the house IS very very slowly getting there. Front room now useable for guest room and plans for everything that is everywhere else, just on a big countdown clock to see if we can get it all done in time!

Had a sore under bump moment too this evening when getting dd ready for bed alongside contraction, top of legs a bit sore too. Have just stopped and laid on the bed to feel better. Obviously had to finish dd bedtime story and cuddle first, and when I put her in bed I got REALLY emotional - I suddenly felt like it might be the last evening I put her to bed without her brother being here, and how I love her so so much I should have burst already and she will always be so special to me. I told her how special she was and how she was my world and had a little cry - she gleefully got her poky finger out and said "eyes mummy" with a smile then asked for a cuddle and gave me a huge hug. Now she's in bed singing songs instead of sleeping Smile I am so so lucky.

Briefly wondered if thoughts like this have any predictive meaning... I hope not, in Kent at mum and dad's tomorrow and want to get the house clean first!!!

Good luck with the prostaglandins and ball bouncing and back (nipple?) Rubbing cinnamon!

38+4

RL20 · 04/04/2015 21:18

Oooh Lauren! Whenever I've had period type cramps it's always been wind Hmm.

Skyra I'm the same - lots of pillows. Although we slept on a quilt last night as well as our usual one over us and I was boiling! I usually feel the cold a lot but since being pregnant I'm always warm! I only wear a cardigan outside now as outerwear.
Carboot sounds good, I bet we won't be up in time to have a good look around though!

Have definitely just overrated today, feeling sicky and sorry for myself now, and the love heart sweets haven't helped Confused

RL20 · 04/04/2015 21:20
  • over eaten not overrated Hmm
EbwyIsUpTheDuff · 04/04/2015 21:26

Hope Ebwy is recovering well!

thanks, squatting

smogsville · 04/04/2015 21:28

Brixton I had a lie down earlier and mine had a full on rave. I was quite pleased as he's had a couple of slightly quieter days this week. I've now eaten him into submission - steak with Worcester sauce and parsley butter, potato wedges, onion rings and a massive salad. Oh no hang on he's doing a few little high pushes.

I never clean my oven. I have literally never cleaned any of them. Neither has DH to best of my knowledge. Might ask cleaner to give it the once over on Tuesday, she last did it after Christmas so that's pretty awful isn't it. Having said that we're all still standing, hale and hearty Wink

daholster you're v lucky that your DD stays in bed. Ours (admittedly older at 3.5) is taking the piss. She's finally actually in her bed rather than running around getting changed into her sodding tankini, coming downstairs to taste our food and leaping about making a racket. Think she's finally asleep - at 930 which is ridiculous. Doesn't matter ATM but when nursery starts again week after next she will have to get back into old routine, no lie-ins to catch up on missed sleep.

EbwyIsUpTheDuff · 04/04/2015 21:37

where's the birth stories thread?

skyra13 · 04/04/2015 21:37

EbwyIsUpTheDuff · 04/04/2015 21:41

thanks, skyra

RL20 · 04/04/2015 22:08

Wow, rocks?!
Very thankful I've not had any weird cravings! If they're genuine it must be hard to not give in! Very strange

kismac · 04/04/2015 22:08

Thanks to whoever mentioned ASDA crop tops. I've bought one in every colour. He he. Lady is ASDA told me off for being out and about. Apparently, I should be staying home now that I've only got 2 weeks to go. Eh? Very confused by this.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend so far.

skyra13 · 04/04/2015 22:11

Kismac I gave the dentist a heart attack yesterday when asked when I was due I said Monday I got a Shock face lol :)

FiRaffe · 04/04/2015 22:16

Sounds hopeful Lauren! Fingers crossed for you.

Tomorrow is probably preserving day I think, if this one decides to actually get a wriggle on and stop me worrying. I think as they are getting lower their wriggling is changing and i'm still not used to it.

Hope you have a nice day tomorrow daholster. Your DD is adorable - I love that she sings to herself!

So impressed with your bed changing on your own skyra - at barely 5ft 3 I get lost in the duvet which DH finds hilarious! Have fun at the car boot too.

Have you got a nice day planned RL?

Lauren82000 · 04/04/2015 22:21

Nah think plug and a bit of a show this morning is my lot for the day. Nothing since, so I'm going to bed. Thankfully DD has opted for a second night at my mums. (Our house is rubbish apparently, but her cousins are also staying over so trying not to feel too sad about her not wanting to be with us)Sad
