LittleGreyCat I would still go. That's just my personal opinion and others may say different, but I know that if I had been waiting around all morning and it took ages to get through, I would go in just so they can make sure that everything is ok. Because if it was to happen again in a couple of hours time you may have the same problem and not be able to get through for a while, and if it was me I'd of wished I had gone in earlier if that was the case. I'm sure everything's fine, I've been in 3 times for reduced movements and they always say to never hesitate to ring if I have any doubts. Hope everything is ok Brew

BrixtonBunny · 02/04/2015 15:50

Little I think only you can answer that question! If baby livened up I personally probably wouldn't go in, but if you still want reassurance is better to go in and feel better than sit at home stressing!

For me I would go just to be sure, my baby has lazy days but she normally gets moving with some fruit juice music and a good rub normally keeps me happy. Hope all is ok x

RL20 · 02/04/2015 17:00

Hope everything has gone ok if you have gone in LittleGreyCat.

Well I've searched all over today (sort of) for the Clipper Raspberry Leaf Tea! None in Asda (seems as though every flavour but that one!), none in Tesco Express (can't be bothered to go to the big Tesco), and none in my local big Co-Op either. So looks like I'll be ordering it from Amazon if they have some on there!

RE eggs, not that I really buy them anyway, there was still some in Asda today including the £1 ones but only KitKat, Wispa and Creme Egg.
I'm really not into the Easter egg thing, never have been, I think maybe because when I was younger I was always more into crisps and savoury things rather than chocolate! (Although that's changed since being pregnant!).

Hope everyone's having a nice day Brew

Wineandchoccy · 02/04/2015 17:38

Yippee I'm on maternity leave Grin

littlegreycat I Hope you have been checked out by now and everything is ok. I'm not sure how many weeks you are but my midwife said once you get to 38 weeks you should feel 10 good strong movements in every 10 hours.

cinnamongreyhound · 02/04/2015 17:43

I'm feeling very emotional! Said goodbye to my last mindees for a few weeks and now have the weekend to think about being induced!

IvegotaCaveTroll · 02/04/2015 17:53

I'm sure ur induction will be fast cinnamon- ur body will remember what to do even if it's a bit earlier.
U have put me to shame managing to work until this point.

I have got splitting of my abdominal muscles at the top of my bump and a hernia through it. This is why I was in so much pain last weekend- it is so bloody sore!! I think I need an epidural now- never mind when labour comes along!

I'm thinking everyone's now stopped for mat leave? I salute anyone who's still going strong- I want to nest but physically cannot.

Oh well at least DH is off for 4 days Easter Smile

PenguinPoser · 02/04/2015 18:06

Yay for those starting mat leave!
Cinnamon hope you're ok Brew your body has done this twice before which puts you in a strong position!
Ouch Cavetroll that sounds really sore Sad

DD has finally exceeded her birth weight (day 19!) and gained 2oz in 2 days. Smile
I'm so pleased I have DH back for the next 4 days! Easter Grin

IvegotaCaveTroll · 02/04/2015 18:31

Penguin- it is sore- and there's a horrible patch of neuropathic skin over it- burning/numb/achy nastiness!!

Yay 37 weeks means curry night!! We get loads and warm it up for tomorrow as well.

ChickenMe · 02/04/2015 18:32

Hope things get moving soon for all those who are uncomfortable. Thinking of you all but getting confused as to who is who due to having baby brain. DD has been feeding on one boob for 90mins straight Shock good thing I don't need a peeGrin

IvegotaCaveTroll · 02/04/2015 18:32

And penguin u should be proud of ur hard work getting Penguin Chick up to her weight- most would have given up with the trouble uv had. Well done xx

FiRaffe · 02/04/2015 19:12

Yah Penguin and for all those of us who are on mat leave!

Am looking forward to a weekend doing very little and getting ready for this baby. Hope you all have fun easter weekends planned!

FiRaffe · 02/04/2015 19:13

Oh and hope you've been checked LittleGreyCat and all is okay!

RL20 · 02/04/2015 19:15

Wine yay for mat leave!

Good luck Cinnamon! Are you booked in for this weekend?

Penguin glad you and baby are doing well Smile and you Chicken!

I really really fancy a cup of raspberry leaf tea! So annoyed I couldn't find it anywhere. I've not even tried it but I used to drink a lot of Twinings flavoured Green Tea's so I can just imagine how it tastes!

Have just had my mad hour of nesting. Have just applied some of those black wall tile stickers to the white tiles in the kitchen. I'm shattered now and bump and back are aching, and I haven't even made dinner yet!
Cannot wait to have a bath tonight.

RL20 · 02/04/2015 19:16

Also thinking about LittleGreyCat. Hope everything is ok

londonlivvy · 02/04/2015 19:18

hurrah for the Easter weekend and DH being around to inject enthusiasm for four days. Ideally DD2 will start coming Sunday night. Or Monday night. cos obviously babies come when you want, right?

StuntNun · 02/04/2015 19:21

CaveTroll I had a hernia pop through three days after DS4 was born but it went back in again afterwards so hopefully yours will too rather than needing any treatment.

mswibble · 02/04/2015 19:22

grey cat did you go in? FWIW I would have gone in, I'm finding that I'm less sure of myself now that the movements aren't so much kicks and jabs but ripples and squirms.
RL I got mine in my local mahoosive Tesco but couldn't find it anywhere else. Had my first cuppa today, surprisingly not as rank as I imagined it to be!
Hurrah for maternity leave!
Oooh cavetroll, that sounds nasty. Do you have to see someone or is it something you just have to manage?
Well done penguin, its lovely to see another BF success story!

Now we have quite a few babies already here I was wondering if anyone had any tips re their hospital bags? Anything that you wish you had packed or anything that didn't even get taken out of the bag? I'm just finalising mine now and I'm racking my brains to see what ive forgotten!

Well I've had my sulk and finally made peace with the fact that my water birth won't happen and I'll be on the delivery suite rather than MLU. As my Mum said to me, he (baby) will get here somehow, doesn't really matter how!
My post breakfast reading was 11.7, target is under 7.8 though I did manage to get down to 5.3 after my lunch. Steak, sweet potato and baked beans for tea so hopefully my levels stay sensible.

IvegotaCaveTroll · 02/04/2015 19:23

They do London...they do...

Lauren82000 · 02/04/2015 19:52

Haha DD just told me a little boy at nursery is her boyfriend. Wink

Having a very uncomfortable evening so far, strong BH with the feeling baby is trying to tunnel out my cervix. (Well it's getting a good poking but no daggers yet) undecided if baby has spun round a bit or not as I'm getting poked a bit more on the right, but bump looks very lobsided to the right still. Like back and bum are sticking out. I'm sure they checked it only had 2 arms and legs not 8 which can be the only explanation! Confused

skyra13 · 02/04/2015 20:14

RL I was always into savoury things but since being pregnant love sweet stuff!

Lauren Its so cute your DD has a boyfriend :)

Nothing happening for me guessing I will go past my due date!

RL20 · 02/04/2015 20:21

Mswibble I often have people ask me if I can feel kicks etc but I now reply that they're more of movement rather than kicks when he was smaller. Now I suppose there's less room to move I think it's generally him pushing his bum around and getting comfortable Grin.
Good question RE hospital bags, I need to double check over mine anyway so would be interesting to know!

Skyra I can't get enough sweet stuff! Juice, fizzy drinks (which I barely drank before), apples, these fruit roll things that are like fruit winders, chocolate, sweets.... Blush.
What are you expecting do you know?

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 02/04/2015 20:26

Thanks for all your comments ladies, I have just got back! Naughty baby wouldn't play so was on the monitor for nearly 3 hours and had a visit from the consultant but she was happy to let us go home! So I'm pleased I went and even more pleased all is well. I do seem to have a urine infection which may not be helping though! Anyway thanks for all the support, it's hard to know if you're just being a nutters with no sounding board!!!

RL20 · 02/04/2015 20:36

LittleGreyCat so pleased everything is ok. Think we were all getting a bit worried as you hadn't posted!
Sometimes you just need that bit of reassurance. Hope the infection clears up quickly

IvegotaCaveTroll · 02/04/2015 20:39

It's really hard to know with movements. There's to much at stake to not check things out.

Re the hernia / split muscle- hopefully it will heal post birth unless it gets bigger.

Def be I trestles to hear the answers to the above hospital bag question.
