With our swamp fanjos and supermarket jobbies it's all going on in our knickers. It's a wonder our men agree to deliver the prostaglandin injections but then we are the 24th Just Shagging Grads!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 24th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is herein its 41st outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs herefor once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

The stats sheet is here

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Re: stretch mark creams. It is not the cream itself that helps, it is the massaging of your skin. So any old cream or oil would work. Bio Oil is very good for scars and stretch marks, as it takes a while to sink in and you are supposed to keep rubbing until it has all sunken in. But it is the rubbing that is helping not the oil itself!

TheBooMonster · 21/03/2015 10:31

mountain I sent him to work, seemed a waste of a day of paternity leave as his shift finishes at 6 and there's no way my contractions would have started by then. There's no sun here at the moment, it's overcast and seriously chilly! PiL are taking DD back to theirs after all so I'm far less stressed now, and looking forward to a cheeky nap Grin

TheBooMonster · 21/03/2015 10:34

Oh popz I didn't think about that! Best swap the crisps for soft things like muffins!

willywallace · 21/03/2015 10:52

Are people commonly sick in labour?

Pisghetti · 21/03/2015 10:59

I was Hmm

OP posts:
Fattycow · 21/03/2015 11:02

willy, it is quite common to get sick. You body wants to use all energy for delivery, so it can decide to get rid of anything that 'interferes' (such as processing food). Also, your stomach can get irritated by the contractions and you get sick.

Purpleball · 21/03/2015 11:13

Just looked at Morcck. We definitely need one of those!

RPopz · 21/03/2015 11:30

I'm never sick but I was sick 3 or 4 times during first few hours of labour. There wasn't much to it though - think it was just my body clearing my stomach out like fatty says. My waters broke while I was puking... It was delightful haha... Hmm

ZylaB · 21/03/2015 11:41

We've got a morrck and I love it!

Good luck today boo

pis just start telling baby NOT to come today as you're going to rugby etc, that's bound to start things off Grin

DulcetMoans · 21/03/2015 11:46

Well I'm sold now, that's enough positive recommendations for me - I'm getting a morrck!

That sounds glam popz, falling out of both ends! Shock

People on OBEM are sick sometimes. Why is a muffin a nicer thing to chuck up than crisps?!

couldhavebeenme · 21/03/2015 11:47

I was sick a lot during labour, when I had my birth afterthoughts session the number of times they recorded me being sick was a lot more than I remembered! Gas and air didn't help as that didn't seem to agree with me at all, so that made it worse.

Good luck boo!

ChatEnOeuf · 21/03/2015 12:06

Good luck today Boo! And enjoy the rugby, Pis.

Ga there's nothing at all to stop you hanging around nearer a nice unit as you approach your EDD. They won't have your main notes, so they will know nothing about you, but it happens reasonably often so they will be pretty well prepared, and you have your hand held notes.

I've never been sick in labour, though I know loads of people who have. I forgot lunch then managed a slice of toast for dinner. Thankfully the Mws on the PNW were kindhearted and found me a sandwich when I arrived.

I was very lucky and had no stretch marks last time around - this time I have my fingers crossed. I have three unopened pots of stretch mark cream, one of which I suspect is quite an expensive brand...but I've never used anything and don't buy into the whole thing.

Wil that's excellent - well done MicroWil

townsender · 21/03/2015 12:28

Goodluck today Boo pom poms waving

Fatty thanks for the advice on rubbing in BioOil, I never knew that. I've got 2 bottles of the stuff left over from my first pregnancy, think it was on 3 for 2 and I didn't realise how long it lasted (plus never got as far as 3rd Trimester). Now I'm nearly 13 weeks and my tubby tum is starting to resemble a bump, I will get it out and start rubbing.

I'd never heard of Morrck! I've got a lot to learn....

gaggiagirl · 21/03/2015 12:54

What else dont I know!
dulcet we are going to see Home but I think SpongeBob is on today too. I would rather see SpongeBob. We only get to see children's films at the pictures these days.
Oh naughty DD update, today I found her................IN THE FUCKING OVEN! It was switched off at the wall and cold and she couldn't quite get the door shut behind her. Kidddddddddsssss!

teejayem · 21/03/2015 12:59

We went for the star blanket from tuppence and crumble, largely because the name amused me more than the morrck.

My Bengal is a rescue too mountain she is like Peter pan in cat form, and never really got much bigger after 16 weeks, she is very diddy for the breed. Similar to yours, all cuddles are on her terms she hates being picked up and she eats absolutely anything. (Inc neighbours cooked breakfast after letting herself into their dining room one morning. Awkward..) My rescue Mau on the other hand is the size of a small Panther (but has the temperament of a Labrador). Very soppy. I've got a Persian cross as well who is another runt I rescued but she is the more anti social of all of them and spends 90% of the time under our bed plotting the downfall of mankind.

I use the palmers tummy butter, a lush massage bar (sorry anti lush-fans) and sometimes just coconut oil. My stomach seems to be okay at the moment, it's my boobs, bum and hips that have gotten the stripes thus far.

My mum was v sick in labour, and I tend to be pukey when I get AF, plus opiate painkillers make me queasy, so I'm resigned to asking for an anti emetic and expecting to vom a lot if I can't have one when my time comes..

I'm 29 weeks, when do I need to start the RLT? Also the foof massage? I got some stuff for it, and Mr tee is very keen to have a go Hmm but I'm worried it'll give me baggy fanny if I start it too early?

la yay for Snuzpod! What bedding are you getting for yours? I'm loathe to buy the little green sheep, set as it seems a bit steep, I was going to get a crib sheet & protector and now can't decide if I should get a cellular blanket orrow or use a sleeping bag..? Bedding is the last immediate thing I think we need, stuff like pump and high chair have gone on the nice-to-have list for the moment. Just as an fyi, toys r us are doing the bumbo for £29.99 at the moment, I've seen it 35-40 everywhere else, so will be grabbing one I think. Then it's just hospital bag stuff and a going home outfit....

I have decided I am not going to even think about mil today, after spending all yesterday between tears and fury, I had a shit sleep, and it's mr tee's party tonight so I am concentrating on that, and I'll deal with her tomorrow. :)

RPopz · 21/03/2015 14:40

I love those star blankets so much

RPopz · 21/03/2015 14:42

Dulce - I know right? Grin My waters had meconium in them too so for one horrifying minute I thought I'd shat myself... Shock

RPopz · 21/03/2015 14:43

Omg triple post... Minigaggia sounds like a total legend! Grin Grin

townsender · 21/03/2015 14:59

What's RLT (slightly scared)? Foof stretching I can only guess, and am hoping assuming unnecessary for ELCS

Purpleball · 21/03/2015 15:59

Sorry Ga I'm laughing at miniga in the oven Grin

We've just been offered a swinging crib by our friends we were out for lunch with and loads of other stuff. She's going to sort through it and let me know what there is. I'll get a new mattress for it.

Been to M&S for huuuuge pants too

Pisghetti · 21/03/2015 16:16

RLT is raspberry leaf tea (reputed to 'tone' the uterus and shorten labour) and foof stretching is perineal massage which reduces the risk of tearing. Tee it should make you supple rather than baggy!

Some amazing rugby so far but I'm a bit sad Wales are now out of the running now Ireland have given Scotland a thumping. Im watching that match via web updates though as I'm breast pumping in the bedroom #cantsayididnttry

Totally want a star wrap but can't decide on colour.

TheBooMonster · 21/03/2015 16:30

Less sharp bits dulcet :p

I'm in and waiting to be monitored. There are two very in labour ladies in my room of the ward!

willywallace · 21/03/2015 16:31

Ahaha at baggy fanny!! I'd be more worried that the giant baby you're going to push out if it would cause that rather than a bit of massage!Grin

Minigaggia sounds hilarious. Good luck keeping up with her and a newborn! Wink

MrWil is out! I'm having to cope alone at a weekend!! Angry If you don't hear from me in a while, send help!

batfish · 21/03/2015 16:54

Aww I feel so sad, I just saw that a lady who was on the October thread and due the day after me just had a scan and found out that her baby died 3 weeks ago, how awful Sad Sad Sad She hasn't posted on the Oct thread for a couple of weeks but I saw a post from her on another thread.

LaLaLaaaa · 21/03/2015 17:06

Good luck boo!!!!!! Push, push, push!!!

The oven gaggia!!! That's nuts!!! Was she hiding or pretending to be a chicken?

Tee hope Mr Tee has a lovely party tonight! Hope he enjoys his present Grin sod the mil. For snuzpod I've got the mattress but I wasn't going to buy their bedding as it's too expensive!

Went for drive and walk today, then for tea and cake and shopping. Was a nice day.

Quite of the day from mil (about my beloved snuzpod) 'that mattress is hard like a brick, poor wee thing who has to sleep on that!'
