With our swamp fanjos and supermarket jobbies it's all going on in our knickers. It's a wonder our men agree to deliver the prostaglandin injections but then we are the 24th Just Shagging Grads!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 24th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is herein its 41st outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs herefor once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

The stats sheet is here

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Poor Pis, the pressure! Grin

Make me get a shower, so blooming lazy!

Indigoblue2 · 22/03/2015 10:19

That's how I feel gaggia. I do enjoy a glass of red and currently Mr indigo is having the sole enjoyment of our Laithewaites deliveries Angry But I just feel, if the science is mixed, and we aren't quite sure what's a safe limit, why risk it? I mean, if every study so far showed a conclusive safe limit and lack of risk, then I would be doing it. If it was overwhelmingly supportive, it would be different, but it seems a grey area. Any ambiguity for me is not good enough on this matter. And like you say, America etc are convinced enough to say not to drink at all. It's only 9 months and I can just about handle it. I feel the same way about BF, it's for a finite amount of time and if it means I have to make sacrifices and can't go out etc as much as if I was FF, and have to feed more regularly, so be it. Not like I didn't plan on having this baby in the first place!

teejayem · 22/03/2015 10:21

I have nails la - I've got acrylic overlay over my natural nail and then shellac over the top, they are short but very strong! I've had them done for like the last three years and haven't stopped, MW said it was fine as long as I wasn't sipping neat acetone. I get them relaid every three weeks or so.

Indigoblue2 · 22/03/2015 10:22

Damnit. So I need to stop the cheeky neat acetone now too?

Indigoblue2 · 22/03/2015 10:23

Fucking pregnancy.

teejayem · 22/03/2015 10:35

Also.. I probably have 1-2 small glasses of red a week with dinner, I can't drink a lot as it gives me wicked heartburn, so I rarely even finish the glass. I usually just have tonic or soda with a slice of lemon or lime. I've got a lovely bottle of veuve cliquot in the fridge that I was given by a client and I'm saving that for post pushing. (Mr tee doesn't drink fizz so it would be wasted if I opened now). What I really, really am looking forward to is an ice cold (like condensation on the glass cold) glass bottle of cloudy bay. its on the post hospital list!

I quite like the low alcohol fosters Radlers with lemon, but that's about it beer wise.

TheBooMonster · 22/03/2015 10:52

gasps I thought I posted this morning but I can't find it now! Not sure if I was still high on gas and air fumes :s Evie arrived at 1:24 this morning, they caught me at 5 cm and whisked me to delivery with 15 minutes to spare! Would love to say I breathed the baby out pis but I failed a bit, I did really well until 5cm, and I did only go as far as gas and air though because everyone ignored my desperate gas and air high begging for an epidural and a general anaesthetic the gas and air did totally make me high as a kite, I don't remember it doing that last time Blush she's feeding like a boss though!!

DulcetMoans · 22/03/2015 10:52

My drinking opinion isn't probably as useful as I don't really drink anyway - never been a wine in an evening kind of person so wouldn't miss it anyway. I've had barely anything but a sip or two of fizz at a wedding though. The 'expecting better' book has some studies and I think concludes some is ok but not sure of the science quality.

Tuna on the other hand is upsetting as I love tuna! I think it's two tins a week is the recommendation bat. Booooo!

I think it's shoulder chat! Have you got a slow cooker? That will be lovely! Oh and that Only Connect programme makes me so angry - I don't even understand the questions! It doesn't make any sense.

Super Sunday for JSers - two babies?! (Probably getting over excited while pis has a lay in!)

MIL has gone off to NCT sale today, asked if I wanted anything. This is a new tactic, I've given her a mission to look for something in particular. Let's see if that helps improve things.

Pisghetti · 22/03/2015 10:53

Sorry viroids I just had a lie in! Will catch up properly in a bit. No baby Hmm

Wooohoo congratulations Boo!! Grin

RPopz · 22/03/2015 10:55

Commiserations Pis. Hope you had a nice lie in at least x

batfish · 22/03/2015 10:58

la I hope nails are OK, I have shellac and have them redone every 3 weeks, the only thing I had heard about salon type stuff was no massages etc. But I'm still learning so I could be wrong!

DulcetMoans · 22/03/2015 11:02

Shit, what a cross post! Sorry boo but excellent news - congrats! Can't wait to see a picture!

Do I win anything for guessing you were sleeping pis?

Purpleball · 22/03/2015 11:08

Huuuuge congrats Boo, can't wait for pics. Hope you're all ok Smile

We've a choice of 4 hospitals within 30 mins drive but I went with the one that treats my diabetes. It would just be too complicated to have 2 different ones. They have good reviews too and it's quite rural without loads of traffic.

La, I'm still having gel nails, they aren't any worse than polish. The beautician said not to bother with a facial as many of the products aren't suitable but nails are fine. Shellac are much the same.

I probably wouldn't have acrylic as I can't stand the smell when I'm not pregnant!

teejayem · 22/03/2015 11:17

Woohoo Boo!!! Lots of love and congratulations, hope you're hVung lovely squishy cuddles, can't wait to see her! Hope you're okay xxx

gaggiagirl · 22/03/2015 11:19

Oh boo how much does she weigh? How long did it all take? Pictures please!

Pisghetti · 22/03/2015 11:25

Oh Boo congratulations!! So we still have today to produce JS twins if miniPis could get her skates on Wink I think you got me and purple mixed up but if I'd just pushed a baby out I wouldn't be able to pick any of you out of a line up so that's fair enough Grin

Wow March is turning out to be a baby bonanza! And the one person expected to deliver this month when it started may well produce an April baby!

We went out for a meal with friends last night so got home quite late hence the sleeping until 10am Blush well seeing as I'm still waiting for baby I may as well exploit the advantages of no baby!

On the alcohol front, I had a small bottle of fizz (187.5ml to be exact) on Christmas eve, New Years eve and my birthday. Each took me over an hour to drink. I read the expecting better book and would thoroughly recommend it. What she is keen to emphasise is that what she presents is the best available evidence. What you then choose to do with that is a personal decision. She does says what her choice was but will sometimes give an example of a friend who made a different choice based on the same evidence. From reading the book I'll be choosing expectant management over induction (provided baby remains happy of course) when if I go two weeks beyond EDD. The only thing she really does push is no smoking because the evidence of harm to the baby is overwhelming.

Time for a shower, hypnobirthing CD (cos I'm totally gonna breathe my baby out Grin) and some pumping I think! Wonder if I should sterilise a container and start storing the milk I'm extracting Confused

Pisghetti · 22/03/2015 11:26

Actually scratch sterilising containers - Dulcet you win my colostrum Grin

Purpleball · 22/03/2015 11:28

Pis my midwife told me to freeze it in case I couldn't feed straight away. I thought she was unhinged!

DulcetMoans · 22/03/2015 11:29

Yay...?! Confused

I don't want to deprive babypis, get storing it!

willywallace · 22/03/2015 11:34

Hurrah! Massive congrats Boo!

I read there was one type of nails you weren't allowed but can't remember what it was helpful.

Fattycow · 22/03/2015 11:34

Congratulations Boo!

willywallace · 22/03/2015 11:37

Definitely keep it Pis, total waste not to.

TheBooMonster · 22/03/2015 11:38

gaggia she is 5lb15oz, pessary went in just before 6 and I was 1cm, it came out because of the hyper stimulation at 9:30, at 1 they checked me and I was 5cm and at 1:24 she was born, so 7 and a half hours start to finish, but I'm yet to get my mitts on my maternity record to work out what they've recorded my active labour as!

Will do pics once we're home and on a computer, which will either be tonight or tomorrow.

pis and purple I did indeed get you mixed up there! blames the gas and air brain cell loss

Indigoblue2 · 22/03/2015 11:45

boo this is all awesome! Well done you! I love the name. Soo exciting, can't wait to see pics Smile xx
