We are already nearing the halfway point! Some of us have already reached the 20 weeks, the rest will follow suit. Let the countdowns begin!

Here is the stats list, please update them with your scan dates and the sex of you baby (if you know it):

Lol muddy, we must be using the same app as that's what mine said too! I did say to dh I thought it was a bit odd! X

jmojo · 03/03/2015 13:37

Mine said a cantaloupe, next week is an aubergine, i think a cantaloupe is bigger than an aubergine???

jmojo · 03/03/2015 13:38

Oh I am 21+ wks

cheetarah · 03/03/2015 14:00

Try this, it's a lot clearer! Those fruit and veg comparisons don't make much sense!

No restless legs here but I do keep feeling a slight twinge of cramp in my calf muscles. Had terrible cramps at night with DD so bad I'd wake Dh up with my swearing I was in pain that much. Dreading getting those again!

Stinkylinky · 03/03/2015 15:03

Hello ladies. I hope you and bumps are all well.

I'm 22 weeks today and feeling lots of regular movements now, although as soon as DP goes for a feel he decides to stop moving - awkward like his father Wink

Suffering with horrendous acid reflux bleurgh

fattymcfatfat · 03/03/2015 15:05

I had a physio session today. I was able to do two exercises without too much painSad and the physiotherapist was 19 weeks pregnant and tiny I honestly thought she was just due on her period and a bit bloated! Shock I felt huge considering im 19+6 and have a full on bump. I was nearly as big as the lady who was 28 weeks with twins!

TouchPauseEngage · 03/03/2015 20:02

Evening all,

BadIdea was it you who recommended the baby and toddler market the other weekend? Was it any good? There's another one nearby which I might go to this weekend if i can squeeze in before work.

Feeling the restless leg pain broody though mine happens at about 8 every night so before bed (unless I'm bloody shattered!)

I came home from physio this eve and had a big old sob to DH. Physio has told me I need to stop one of my jobs (the one that means I'm on feet all day) and walk with a stick for the next few weeks to try and get on top of the PGP. I'm gutted about the stick and going to try and avoid it by not walking anywhere Grin. Also gutted about work, but I know it's a good idea. I've been doing 6 day weeks and couldn't carry on forever.

I must say my physio has been fabulous and restored my faith in NHS physios. If any of you are staring to feel a twinge of back or pelvic pain don't ignore it. Get a referal asap!

MrsFbabyNo1 · 03/03/2015 20:44

Having a nice relaxing night tonight! Hope all are well.

Thanks las and zampa for the holiday insurance advice. Not booked yet (still deciding where / how long /which airport!) but think I'll sort insurance out before we book now. I'll be 26 to 27weeks when we go and I had read early baby stories online when googling pregnancy insurance. Las hope your 2nd son doesn't cause you so much drama nowadays! Glad all was well for you both following his dramatic entrance!

Bust, v happy you're all sorted with your work colleague. I often think the anxiousness of having an awkward conversation is the worst part, once it's done and being resolved then hopefully inevitably feel better.

Oh how I do love my sleep! Broody Im lucky in that I zonk out (maybe one loo trip, or two in the night) but guess I'm appreciating my sleep still until my first born arrives! ?? bet it won't stay like that through my whole pregnancy (but have a dreamgenii ready n waiting)!

On Sunday, one of my good friends gifted us bags n bags n bags full of baby boy clothes! After 7boys in her close family (2 of hers) she literally just wanted to get rid of them from storage! Some lovely stuff so v pleased. Might go to an NCT nearly new sale locally this Saturday too.

Touch and fatty, glad physio is helping you both. You sound like you work v hard Touch. I had some lower back ache bout 2wks ago, I thought it was maybe time to ditch the heels for flats. But it's now weirdly gone away. Maybe just my pelvis / centre of gravity shifting initially?? Will keep an eye on it.

TouchPauseEngage · 03/03/2015 21:35

MrsF it's just worth keeping an eye on it and if it starts to get worse getting a referal. PGP can hit at any point. There's also some good tips on how to move to 'protect' your pelvic joints in pregnancy on the pelvic partnership website so if you start to get a few niggles it's worth looking there!

I must get a Dream genii- I've been using a duvet plus four pillows to make a fortress around me and it's getting a bit silly now Grin

fatty I somehow missed your physio post sorry. Are you finding the exercises helpful?

fattymcfatfat · 03/03/2015 21:50

not really. I did when I had physio after DD but she is only 14 months old and im in agony again. I have an unstable spine aswell as spd/pgp. the exercises are just a lot of pressure atm. im hoping it will get easier as it did last time otherwise I have been told to book another one on ome in a couple of weeks and they may have to put me on crutches. which I dont want as I have the other two to care for and im on my own.
I do agree that if it does start to niggle at anyone they should be seen as soon as possible. It does help and they dont make you do anything if it hurts too much

laspalmas · 03/03/2015 21:58

I've had a dream genii for all three of my pregnancies. Love it and highly recommend. Useful as a feeding pillow after also.

Naturegirl82 · 04/03/2015 07:48

broody good luck for today. Hoping everything goes well for you.

fattymcfatfat · 04/03/2015 07:57

anomaly scan today. Hopefully the little munchkin is doing well. especially since ive just fallen down the last couple of stairs and hurt my bum Blush ouch. im sure its just myself ive hurt though.

BadIdeaBear · 04/03/2015 09:25

Hi touch - it wasn't me, actually. I really wish I could get to the one over in Manchester next weekend but it's not an option with far too much going on at home for that. Hope yours is worthwhile though.
fattmyfatfat good luck today! I'm sure you've been more affected by the fall than your munchkin, who probably just enjoyed the bounce...! Hope the bruising fades soon!

Zampa · 04/03/2015 10:08

Touch/BadIdea - I'm off to the Baby & Toddler Show on Friday at Event City (Manchester), if that's what you're talking about. I got discounted tickets and thought that there might be some decent discounts. However, we've already bought a lot of things so may just be a fun day out ( DP just can't wait to go Wink).

Had a mini-breakdown last night. Started with me missing my Mum (who died 15 years ago, when I was 20) and ended with me just wanting someone to look after me. Have always been a self-reliant introvert and think the hormones are taking their toll, especially when combined with doing up a house and being a long way from friends and family.

broodylicious · 04/03/2015 11:02

Delighted to announce baby broody is alive, kicking and was measuring wonderfully normal in this morning's anomaly scan. No mention of any defects or markers for Down's syndrome and all organs and limbs in tact and were moving beautifully. There was an incredibly long few minutes as the sonographer spent an age looking at the heart and I had to have a jiggle about to get bubs to move from right behind my tummy button but thankfully those words "yep, that's all good too" finally came!

Might start enjoying being pregnant now!

ohlordyplordy · 04/03/2015 12:14

Touch it was me that went to the baby market in Chesterfield, if that's what you mean?
I got loads of bargains - a swinging crib for £10, grobags (real ones) at £1 each, dream genii £8 and a few other bits and bobs. All fab condition.
I'd say it's worth you checking your local one out. It's pot luck what people will have on the day, but worth a punt.
We'll be going to the next Chesterfield one in May, as we'll know what we're having then, so will hopefully pick up loads of appropriate 3 - 6 month clothes.

TouchPauseEngage · 04/03/2015 13:56

Oh brilliant Lordy it was the one in Chesterfield I was wondering about as they've got one near Mansfield next week, but if there is another one in May I'll wait till then. My replacement at work will be covering by then so will be able to take the day off too!

TouchPauseEngage · 04/03/2015 13:59

Ooooh just seen they are having one in matlock on 18th April which is even better. DH will be on holiday then too.

fattymcfatfat · 04/03/2015 14:03

broody glad everything was ok. my baby boy was awkward and wouldn't stay still for them to measure and check him over so it took a while! but everything is there and working beautifully. Grin

jmojo · 04/03/2015 14:38

zampa I empathise with you, I lost my mum suddenly in Sept last year and sometimes it just sneaks up on me and I get so sad that she is going to miss out on the baby. I am on the other side of the world to my close friends so even though I have people here it isn't the same. Hope you are feeling better today! x

Zampa · 04/03/2015 17:10

Thanks jmojo. I'm sorry for your own loss. It must still be very raw.

DP has promised looking after duties so I'm sure I'll be fine. Thanks again for asking.

ohlordyplordy · 04/03/2015 18:57

Hope you get some bargains touch.
