Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 22nd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 39th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

It's like we have this in-built guilt about work isn't it? Probably because we're made to believe it's the most important thing in life. Mr Tee is right, you won't get any medals for putting yourself out.

I actually feel like I might be coping with two children today if you ignore the state of my house.

Fleurchamp · 19/02/2015 13:23

Take care tee

I am going on Saturday, mainly in the hope of seeing things I have looked at on the internet all in the same place for comparison purposes. I am not intending to buy.

However, I am going with my mum and MIL - they are both desperate to buy something Hmm

Pisghetti · 19/02/2015 13:32

I thought it was a lovely message la x

Gaggia WTF? Dung beetles larger than the Sphynx??

Do you have a support belt Tee? It'll be a long old day! Hopefully with it being a baby show they will have plenty of seats out.

After DS I just wanted contact with the outside world! I was horribly bored at home. DS preferred to be put down between feeds so I found I had time on my hands. I guess it really depends on what kind of baby you have but if you're in touch a lot I'd let her guide you as to what she wants Bat. Did the invite to the FB group come through?

Speaking of being horribly bored.... I was up with the alarm this morning to come back to my own place by 9am for a midwife visit. Still waiting.... I'm packing for a couple of days away with DP but can't jump in the shower until she's been so a bit stuck.

willywallace · 19/02/2015 13:41

Did she say 9am or do they just turn up whenever?

LaLaLaaaa · 19/02/2015 14:14

Tee I was going to go but it worked out expensive in train tickets plus show tickets. Now I wish we were going coz we planned to go to Brighton tomorro instead but the weathers going to be shite!

I have same inbuilt work guilt! I'm always checking work email when not at work :(

Thank you pis I just felt it might upset people coz of the detail :(. MN lady told me she thought it was a lovely post and really didn't want to take it down but I insisted as I got a bit anxious.

Pile on bum definitely spot!

I think I'd love it if someone brought me milk, bread etc just after my baby is born! Really kind

batfish · 19/02/2015 14:20

No pis I never did get the fb invitation, weird! No idea where it must have got to!

Pisghetti · 19/02/2015 14:26

Anytime after 9am Wil... She came by 10 last time so I was optimistic! I gave the birth centre a call and they reckon it'll be within the next couple of hours.

willywallace · 19/02/2015 14:37

What a pain in the arse Pis.

Ha I wonder what random has Bat's invitation?

Can you all collectively sing a lullaby to get the littlest one off to sleep so I can lie down please?

Pisghetti · 19/02/2015 15:46

Still waiting childish pout

hush little baby don't say a word, mamma's gonna buy you a mockingbird

Don't understand that Bat Confused is it the email account associated with your facebook account?

teejayem · 19/02/2015 15:55

Yeah, I'm actually looking forward to being able to size up all the poddlepod type things that everyone keeps raving about. I've just checked the excel website and it's bloody £15 to park! outrageous. I don't think we'll be walking out with a travel system, but the one I want I've only seen pictures of so I'm hoping they have it.
I've spent half the afternoon ironing and the other half with feet up watching OBEM. It's making me shit my big mummy pants.
Good news re: Pile La! I'm guzzling lactulose again to stop the codeine bunging me up, I am trying to dodge the bum grapes as long as possible! It's making me trump like anything tho.... Blush

Fleurchamp · 19/02/2015 16:07

tee I would look for alternatives re parking. If you are up to catching the DLR/ cable car you can get much cheaper parking elsewhere, even the O2 is cheaper than that!

DH is dropping us off to get the cable car. I haven't been on it yet, quite excited!

Pisghetti · 19/02/2015 16:23

Ooh just won £100 love2shop vouchers for filling in a survey about our local! Hmmm baby stuff or post partum wardrobe....?

OP posts:
teejayem · 19/02/2015 16:28

I went on it when the olympics was on, it's quite fun! The descent on the way down is pretty cool...
TBH I could just get the train, but even then it's £8.50 to park at our local station for the day, so I'm inclined to bite the bullet. We're the wrong side of the river for the 02 so it's a bit of a faff, I might look at parking at Stratford and getting the DLR from there.
Seems tiny tee is having some kind of mid afternoon disco, definitely more active during the day now than he was which is....interesting....

teejayem · 19/02/2015 16:29

PP wardrobe pis - put it on stuff that nobody would buy you......

Fleurchamp · 19/02/2015 16:56

tee I think Westfield parking at Stratford is £6 during the week, but do check. Also a good excuse for more shopping and/or eating.

If you're in pain though, definitely park nearby.

Almost Friday! Yippee!

willywallace · 19/02/2015 17:05

Definitely wardrobe Pis, I am desperate for new stuff! Thanks for your lullaby, worked a treat Smile .

Ah she has started chucking up at every feed. Hope she's not going to stop putting on weight. It's weird because she seems more settled in general.

batfish · 19/02/2015 17:37

Yeah pis it's the same email address, who knows what's going on! is it a group I can search for and request to join or is it totally invisible without invitation?

mountaingirl01 · 19/02/2015 18:17

Hiya viroids, sorry for being so MIA recently. Work has been crazy and the incredible tiredness has hit (really bad timing!). dh has been away this week as well, and sad as it sounds we haven't had this sort of time away from each other since before we were married. I really miss him :( keep having panicy thoughts about how this is how awful it would be if he didn't come back. Pretty sure I wasn't this neurotic about him doing silly extreme things when I wasn't upduffed and doing them too

pis I say the wardrobe, you will spend loads on your baby over the next few months and if you're anything like me won't be able to justify spending it on yourself. This is free money, it's meant for nice things!

tee Shock that is all I can say about the crap time you have been having. Sounds bloody awful! Pay the money for the carpark, it's not worth the possibility of having to sit on public transport after a long day and when your in pain.

possibly tmi - but I was feeling really pregnant at the beginning of the week, with all my clothes feeling really snug. Well, now the constipation has 'reached a conclusion' suddenly don't feel pregnant anymore. humph. apart from nearly having to hide in the toilets earlier as I thought if I had to see another patient I may fall asleep standing like a horse can't wait for this next week to head on by and my dating scan to come along!

Fleurchamp · 19/02/2015 18:24

Good to "see" you mountain I completely empathise with you regarding the anxiety when your DH is away. I was exactly the same, it has calmed down a bit now but I still need to know when DH has left work etc. so that I know when to expect him home - I was always pretty relaxed!

TheBooMonster · 19/02/2015 20:55

tee rest up, and I echo mrTee, fuck work. I had to turn off my care with work because they really didn't give that much of a shit about me (The staff on shop floor did, but management suck), I had a lot more sympathy and worry for my last place because they were all so fantastic about any pregnancy related time I needed (or wedding timer that matter) didn't stop the place going under whilst I was on maternity leave though (perhaps they were too lovely) I do at least know this time that my job isn't going anywhere if I can't find something better whilst on leave...

So jealous of all you ladies going to baby shows :( There's one here on Norwich but it's not till April!

had my 32 week growth scan today, she's dropped from centile: 41 to 21 but they're not concerned because she's still between the lines of 9 and 91, guess we'll have to see if she stays that way come 36 weeks. I'm still a bit shell shocked that everything's ok though, which is stupid, but I'd prepared myself so thoroughly for hearing that they weren't happy with her growth and everything had gone to shit that I was ready to hear it, now I feel a bit lost :/ She's also head down, so looks like my prospects of an enforced section are pretty low, so if I want one I'm going to have to argue the point, and I can't think of much other than a) I want to have a set date b) I don't want to risk having the baby away from the hospital if labour is faster than last time c) I desperately want the 2-3 days it guarantees baby and I on the ward with the medical folk and d) I can get sterilised and never have to worry about contraception again, and none of those seem like sane person reasons for electing to have major abdominal surgery... sighs in frustration

pis the wardrobe, you need something for you once you've finished carrying a baby and given birth! Did the midwife turn up in the end?

bat is your friend breastfeeding? If so you should totally make her breastfeeding flapjacks / lactation cookies, there are all manner of recipes on the internet and it's good practice for if you're breastfeeding, and they're scummy! especially with added chocolate drops...

willywallace · 19/02/2015 21:01

Boo, I think B,C and D are all perfectly valid reasons for having a section. WTF are lactation cookies?!

TheBooMonster · 19/02/2015 21:11

they're cookies full of ingredients that supposedly help increase your milk supply wil, so they have oats, and flaxseed and brewers yeast and stuff in. I have all the ingredients for a couple of different types here in the house, my theory being I can get busy making them if I go into labour at home and then take them to snaffle at the hospital.

willywallace · 19/02/2015 21:33

Your plan is to bake during labour?

TheBooMonster · 19/02/2015 21:35

early labour, during that phase where it's still period pain-y rather than feeling like my everything's being ripped out of my sacrum, by then I won't be safe in the kitchen :P

willywallace · 19/02/2015 21:37

You're so productive. Hope you have a longer early labour than I did!
