Congratulations Becca! And peppermint , pleased to hear you're feeling better for the ECV and all went well! Still nothing on my end aaaargh aaaargh aaaargh. It sooo cold where I am so I've been wimping out of long walks but I may just have to brave it today in the hope that gets things going!

blankfornames · 04/02/2015 08:04

Congrats Becca!!!

Anyone any advice on slings? Anyone have a definite favourite comfort and security wise?

Bangonthedoor · 04/02/2015 08:05

So pleased things are better for you now peppermint, you can tell you friend how successful it was!

Good luck for today grinning, please let us know how you get on Smile

Congrats becca on your baby boy! Thanks

Feeling completely wiped today, why does it go shit day, shit day, shit day, good day then back to shit day again?! So frustrating Sad

donkir · 04/02/2015 08:32

I feel like a cow I've been up most of the night feeding. My milk came in yesterday so that probably has something to do with it.
We went for the Ergo with newborn insert because of others reviews. I've not had chance to try it yet though.

Minichuch · 04/02/2015 08:43

Can I add another boy to the mix - little one early and under emergency c section last night - no name yet - he's in neonatal as only weighed 3lb 15oz - my placenta had stopped working properly and was picked up during presentation scan yest morn so it was all kind of a whirlwind but he's doing well and had taken over 50ml of feed in one go last night Grin

Will stick pic up on fb soon

BanglesSpangles · 04/02/2015 08:59

Congrats becca and mini- glad to hear everything's going well

The top of my stomach muscles are so sore at the mo, and my belly button has gone from having practically disapperared to being back in again, so im guessing the babys moved... Still feels like hes in exactly the same place apart from that though... Cant wait for him to be on the outside so i can share the worry, rather than feeling solely responsible for him!

Honeybird · 04/02/2015 09:04

Congratulations mini! Must have been scary, glad he's feeding well!

And congratulations Becca!

Bangonthedoor · 04/02/2015 09:29

Congrats mini!! Thanks So tiny!

purpleteapig · 04/02/2015 09:51

Congratulations mini- glad he's doing so well!

LittleMissSunshine33 · 04/02/2015 09:59

Congrats mini and Becca more boys! Glad all is well with both Thanks

I had my waxing done yesterday so feel ready to go although I asked to leave a little hair downstairs as thought bald might be too much but instead I seem to be left with a Charlie Chaplin look! Hmm think it will have to go!

I'm into single figures 9 days to go! Although BH have stopped I think LO has set up camp for a while yet.

Congrats becca and mini Flowers. Hope mini baby catches up quickly with his weight. Where are the girls?

postitnotes · 04/02/2015 10:29

Hello to all the new babies!

I only got to sleep at 3.30 but not tired - think I'm running off adrenalin now. Anticipate no sleep at all tonight.

blank I've heard good things about the ergo. I borrowed a Kari-Me with my first and loved it. She had hip problems and I felt that carrying her in the sling really helped. My sister's offered to get me one for this baby. I haven't got a double buggy so it'll be indispensable. I used a woven wrap for a while when DD was big enough to go on my back, but the stretchies are fab for newborns.

blankfornames · 04/02/2015 11:03

Welcome Baby Mini. That's wonderful that he's feeding so well. He'll be piling on the weight before you know it!!

Thank you Postit and Donkir. Will look into the Ergo. Funny that you both recommend same!

GeekyHybrid · 04/02/2015 11:16

Congratulations mini, bit of a drama but glad he's feeding well, can't wait to see pictures! Thanks Thanks

Went for my 40w mw appointment this morning. I think I may have been resting on my laurels being so active at work then decorating the nursery etc. LO been in good position all pregnancy, nice and low in pelvis, until now! Hmm It's gone back to back so going to have to join everyone else in watching my posture etc. Once OH has gone to work I was planning on a trip to town to collect a lamp shade for the nursery, witch hazel and stuff so hopefully all this activity will get it moving in the right direction. Flipping child!!!! ;-o

Congratulations Becca & mini.

It was a good job you needed a presentation scan mini. How many weeks were you? 50ml feed is huge! He definitely wants to make up for being born small, will be piling on the oz's in no time.

Memphis I think I'll have to try the injections in my legs. See if that helps. They said I'd probably need them for 6weeks post birth too - so that's nearly another 7weeks of DH (i cant do it to myself) having to jab me with them!

tweety I'm really worried about the PGP pain not going once I've got baby. I've read such mixed things about it - some people say they were severe and go in to hospital in a wheelchair, but walk out. Others say they were fairly mild but still suffering a year later. And everything in between. Fingers crossed for all of us suffering with it.

Ticktick · 04/02/2015 11:49

why I am doing daily injections too, fragmin like Memphis was taking. I find for me legs bruise loads more than tummy. So I go for a spot right down low on my belly which is squidgey. Get occasional bruises but its ok as I can barely see that bit anyway ! I shall be injecting for 6 wks after too. Feeling a bit concerned it will make bleeding worse after the birth. memphis how was it for you?

Ticktick · 04/02/2015 11:50

Big congratulations to the new arrivals :) FlowersSmile

Surf25 · 04/02/2015 12:13

Big congratulations to the new arrivals! Lovely to hear the news of these baby boys! Hope that your son goes from strength to strength mini must have been quite a whirlwind for you so hope you are being looked after. And becca enjoy your snuggles!

Grinningcat · 04/02/2015 12:17

Congratulations to be a and mini. Thank goodness for the presentation scan. Off to hospital in an hour for the ECV. Will let you all know how it went. Had a lovely lazy morning with DH though with pancakes, bacon and maple syrup for breakfast. Yum. Also did a mad panic wash of the Moses packet sheets etc as I suddenly got worried that they hadn't been washed and that there was a slim chance I might need a EMCS and didn't want DH to have to sort it if I did!

sandulacek · 04/02/2015 13:32

Good luck grinning

I've just finally caught up with the washing and ironing for the LO. No chance of ironing for DH or myself Grin

What are others views on doing separate washing for the baby, i.e. not mixing with our washing? Is there just not going to be time to fuff around? Confused

Honeybird · 04/02/2015 13:43

I think some do that sand but here we throw it all in together and use non-bio and no conditioner on anything - kids have sensitive skin. While I hate scaremongering and wouldn't say 'you'll have no time for anything and your life is over' I would say that faffing around with separate loads is not top of our priorities...

WhyOWhyWouldYou · 04/02/2015 14:05

sand a separate wash for baby is pointless. If LO is going to react to bio or your fabric conditioner then your clothes/bedding also need to be washed in the same things as babys. I mean think about how much time they spend snuggling into you or how much time they can spend feeding in your bed (lying down to feed is easier at night). So either do everybody's in non-bio, with sensitive fabric conditioner/ no conditioner or everybody's in bio and swap washing liquid for everybody if theres an issue.

Bangonthedoor · 04/02/2015 14:07

I did sand and still do really. Not because I think you should but just because I found myself doing it! I think partly it's because I would put DD's on a hot wash to get rid of all stains etc where as mine and DP's would just have a quick eco wash. Also by doing DD's bits separately, I find the annoying task of putting it away isn't as annoying as you just take it all to the one room. Plus DD has always been really messy having lots of washing so could always justify doing a separate wash. As I say though that's just my preference and what I have found myself doing Grin

Bangonthedoor · 04/02/2015 14:09

Totally agree with why, I've never done a separate wash for non bio reasons. You'd have to have everything washed in the same powder/liquid

Honeybird · 04/02/2015 14:18

Really wish I'd found mumsnet for DC1 maybe I would have been more prepared! Still learning new things from you all!
