Hi ladies. Another latecomer here - feels like I've barely had time to BE pregnant what with work and a toddler but now on mat leave, thank gawd.

Due feb 20th, dc2. First is 2y9m, mostly lovely but frigging exhausting.
You guys are inspiring me to be less of a moans fat preggo - there's an awful lot going on! I'm mostly bloody uncomfortable (but aren't we all), and trying to get the bubs to turn and not be back-to-back for labour as that wasn't so much fun last time...

Anyway, hope you've got room for another here!

Grinningcat · 03/02/2015 20:00

Welcome loopsy and that's great news peppermint. I only hope that my ECV goes as well tomorrow. I really don't think baby's head is stuck though as it keeps bobbing around. I think it's the bottom stuck in my pelvis that will turn out to be the problem as I keep feeling baby kicking like he/ she is trying to turn, but not getting any purchase. I'm a FTM though so less chance of it working for me. Sad

donkir · 03/02/2015 20:02

Evening ladies and welcome all the newbies.
So lo is now 3 days old and has slight jaundice but hopefully it should sort itself out. I forgot how sore your boobs get when feeding. Milk kicked in today and my lord I'm feeling it.
Memphis we live in a different county to what lo was born in but managed to get registrar app next Thursday. All the hits then need sending to the other county and then back again.

Memphisbelly · 03/02/2015 20:04

Blank do the labour ward not have balls there? There were loads in our delivery ward.
Littlemiss I would say they are well worth the fiver they cost, you just feel like things drop into place bit more, also get less pressure on hips than you get sitting on sofa.

WhyO and frenetic you poor poor ladies, I really feel for you getting the pain you do. It was easier for me to be examined on my knees. Hopefully you both won't need examining again before section dates.

Ladies who have had their babies already tmi but I have lost a big clot tonight, hardly bled at all let alone lost anything like this in past 11 days (size of a satsuma) got hv tomorrow would you recommend just mentioning it to her? My friend said she lost a grapefruit size one day after her birth but this is 11 days?!

loopsyloup · 03/02/2015 20:20

Yes Memphis I think that's worth mentioning - I'm sure last time around they told me to watch out for anything bigger than a 50p coin... Hope it means the bleeding is coming to an end!

Memphisbelly · 03/02/2015 20:21

Donkir glad all is ok, baby still a tad yellow here too.
The registry of baby isn't a straightforward thing is it! You would think with computers and stuff they would make it easier.

Memphisbelly · 03/02/2015 20:22

Loopsy thanks for reply, I didn't bleed with ds1 ad the manually removed it and this time its been minimal and as someone who has thr lightest periods ever it totally freaked me out!

WhyOWhyWouldYou · 03/02/2015 20:46

Memphis I think you're supposed to tell them if there's anything other than little clots. Any 50pence piece size or bigger like loopsy said sounds familiar.

Who was it who had to have daily tinzaparin injections? Did you find they got more painful to do as time went on? They didnt really hurt last week when I first had them but now they really feel very sharp and tender when going in and are bruising more. - wondering if its just because I'm running out of space to put them (doesn't help its two injections a dose/day)?

Memphisbelly · 03/02/2015 21:33

WhyO mine were fragmin. I did mine on my legs. I was told to do my belly but as long as you pinch the skin so it goes in fat not muscle it can go in arms and legs.

blankfornames · 03/02/2015 22:04

Welcome Loopsy, best of luck tomorrow Grinning.

Memphis..they don't have them here in hospitals. They are a Godsend!

L1ttleMissGiggles · 03/02/2015 22:31

Thank you. Will have a search online tomorrow and look to get one I think. Started my ML this week so hoping to contribute more now rather than just being a reader! Have first visit from the health visitor tomorrow, not sure what to expect but the house is now spotless, including the oven haha! X

Mimosa1 · 03/02/2015 22:41

Welcome newbies and sand and why, thanks for feedback on your DMs coming to stay. Still no signs of anything happening at my end. Suzi, I'm 40+5 too and going a bit potty waiting. Have they said when they would induce you? Mine would be at 41+5.

suzimagoozi · 03/02/2015 22:53

I haven't had that conversation with the mw yet mimosa. Wasn't mentally prepared to even consider induction dates at 40 week appointment so I guess if sweep doesn't work on Thurs alternative plans will be made.

GeekyHybrid · 03/02/2015 23:38

Back to being propped up on the sofa Sad Trying to sleep with vom tasting heartburn is impossible, and now LO has joined the party by contributing hiccups. Suppose I got lucky the last couple of nights, at least I've got plenty to read.

postitnotes · 03/02/2015 23:39

Baby has been twerking for the last two hours, but I'm taking that as a positive that she's still comfortable and won't be coming out before the CS!

I am very impressed with everyone cleaning and nesting. I want everything clean and tidy but I don't want to be the one to do it!

Whyo and frenetic re questions at the pre-op - mine was just with 3 midwives (1 older, 1 recently qualified, 1 student) and they just ran through a script really. The questions i had they couldn't give satisfactory answers too, so i'm going to wait until i see the consultant and the anaesthetist on the actual day.

I'm dreading the being on the operating table bit and then the crappy post natal ward with the sadistic midwives. Must focus on the lovely baby bit!!!

tweety89 · 04/02/2015 00:04

Good evening ladies. Didn't do much today, too painful to walk at the moment...luckily DP worked from home again to do the school runs for me because of the snow we woke up to.
postit I'm dreading the whole op idea too, but I'm sure it will be far better than my first time so it's a bit re-assuring. Btw, very brave of you asking your husband to do the shaving bit. I might go for a wax in the end if I manage to find a salon that has a good reputation. When I had DD we lived a bit further away and I cannot really travel there to do it this time.
whyo I was told by the mw that I'll need to shave (or they'll shave me anyway for the op), so I'll definitely do it beforehand.

I haven't been given a pre-op app. When is this going to be booked? Like a couple of days before the op?

36+6 today (well, tomorrow, but it's already midnight!) and I can see that my ancles are quite swollen. Is this kind of normal in the last month of pregnancy? I cannot remember with DD. I don't get easily high BP and until now I haven't had any proteine in my urine but I have the last consultant's app on Thursday so I might ask them to check everything as well.
15 days to go! :) Excited and bit scared at the same time.
I really hope SPD/PGP magically disappears the day after we have our babies! Grin.

I'm finally going to bed 'early'! Good night!

Becca1818 · 04/02/2015 01:09

Baby Finley born 03/02/2015 at 15.43 via c section weighing in at 8.5lbs. Cannot stop watching him x

freneticfox · 04/02/2015 03:57

Congratulations Becca, what a lovely name! Hope you are both doing well :)

I'm wide awake, driving myself mad. A mix of pain, nausea, anxiety, and a very kicky baby. The next week honestly cannot go quick enough!

Becca1818 · 04/02/2015 04:18

Thanks frenetic I still can't quite believe he's here and is mine.

Hopefully you won't be waiting too much longer Smile

Giantbabymama · 04/02/2015 04:26

Congrats Becca, I am awake too but only cos I am in a different time zone. Hope you can get some rest soon frenetic

donkir · 04/02/2015 04:36

Congratulations Becca, welcome to the mummy club.

Becca1818 · 04/02/2015 05:22

Thank you donkir its such lovely feeling Smile

PeppermintInfusion · 04/02/2015 07:39

Grinning, good luck for today! The relief I feel around my diaphragm is immense, didn't realise how bad it was as I had just got so used to the pressure.
I do feel a bit achey today, and like everything is settling in a different place and my centre of gravity has changed. Glad I've taken this week off now.

Now I'm panicking about every twinge as I am feeling pressure in my pelvis for the first time! I need a rest before junior arrives so fingers crossed he isn't gearing up to arrive just yet!

GeekyHybrid · 04/02/2015 07:50

Congratulations becca and welcome Finley. Thanks Thanks Thanks

Becca congrats on your lovely baby boy, enjoy staring at him.....12 days in and its still my favourite hobby Grin

Tweety the hip pain will go. Most people do go as soon as baby is out, one friend was induced at 37 weeks due to spd and she left her crutches in ward as pain had totally gone.

Dh has taken his work van to have work done on it leaving me to sort both boys in time for school run..... Ds has now been getting dressed for 15 mins and is still nakedGrin and im lying in bed feeding the little one
