Hope they come back ok shiny x

applecore0317 · 29/01/2015 13:54

Sorry Shiny hope all turns out ok, glad that little bean is still dancing around whilst you are going through it

That's good mum maybe add some high fat snacks in like nuts?

Thanks for the sympathy everyone and hope your headache clears Tori

And hope you're feeling better too Aberjn a lot of colds going round at the moment

Is it snowing where you all are? It's just started here, although I don't think we will get loads, never do, although I did err on the side of caution this morning and got a lift to work, as have to park away from site when I am on a mid shift and didn't fancy walking in the dark to my car and then slipping over

Sorry you're hips are hurting Leanne I sleep against three pillows sloped and then one between my legs, I find the more upright I am on my side the less it hurts

Chookford · 29/01/2015 14:04

shiny hope you are ok, and the tests are all good!

apple no snow here in Kent, but im hoping we may get a little bit! Wink

leanne963 · 29/01/2015 14:20

Sorry to hear that shiny wishing all the best for you!!

apple Thank you for the tip, i will try it! No snow in Gloucestershire at the moment, just rain!

mumxof3x · 29/01/2015 15:14

I cant possibly eat any more apple, its really all I do, I eat too much already, I definately exceed 2500 cals a day Blush I think its just because Ihave never seen this midwife before,so she hadnt seen me at booking etc where i looked much smaller then I do now. Ive gained 10ib which is a normal amount and all that has been in the last 9wk and my belly is very small, but its just how I carry. MIL said my bum was getting big lol so the people that see me regularly know im gaining weight and how much I eat. It is probably just cause thats the first time shes seen me. x

Snow still coming here although its stop start

Tori that is a tough one. Most nurseries and indeed childminders and nannies are not very flexible in terms of which days you take - at least as a baseline - you can normally have extra days at nursery if there is space. I know my council was running a consultation about local childcare needs and were talking about opening an ad-hoc nursery facility but it hasn't progressed very far yet. There is also this place that has opened near me www.mycreche.co.uk/ that would be able to accommodate your needs but is quite £££ (mind you all nurseries round here are!) - don't know if anything similar exists near you? If you can commit to definitely needing 3 days and your local nursery is not full you might well persuade them to offer you flexibility but most round here are oversubscribed (I am in London - it might not be the same elsewhere). Do you have any colleagues in a similar boat that you could work out a mutual arrangement with or family help? (long shots!) Or could you talk with work under your statutory right to request flexible (or in this case inflexible) working?

I am desperate for snow. Dd hasn't seen any since she was tiny and desperately wants to build Olaf and go sledging.

Sorry to those who are ill or uncomfortable. Shiny I hope you get things sorted - there are things you can take for clotting in pregnancy.

Titsalinabumsquash · 29/01/2015 16:28

No snow here at all in West Sussex Sad

I'd love work/school to not happen tomorrow.

Thanks for lovely messages guys. Nice to have a place to offload. Little dusting of snow here in Nottingham but nothing to rave about.
Hope all who are feeling less than tip top feel better soon xx

Chookford · 29/01/2015 18:08

It's started snowing here! Not sure it will last but my dd is so excited!! Smile

KittyVonCatsington · 29/01/2015 19:09

(((hugs))) shiny - will be thinking of you and your tests

No snow in SE London but a bit of hail earlier. Now just rain!

They interviewed for my maternity replacement today at school and someone was hired! Can't believe how close it is getting to maternity leave! 13th April here we come Grin

longestlurkerever · 29/01/2015 19:16

My DD is allergic to the cold. I didn't even know that was a thing until it started happening! So I hope no snow!! She just wants to play in it and she's not allowed:-(

KittyVonCatsington · 29/01/2015 21:18

No Tori I don't. Is your getting worse? Lactulose doesn't stop my constipation but does make it hurt far far less and a bleed only so often now.
Have fun at your Baby Shower! He'll be a lucky baby for sure Smile

Tori I was on lactulose, which I didn't really find that helpful. my mw is convinced I'm going to develop diabetes (I so hope I prove her wrong with my test next week!), and claims lactulose is high in glucose so put me on movicolon instead. I've found it much better. It's done the trick every day this week Smile

piglet81 · 29/01/2015 21:38

Sorry you're suffering, Tori (and anyone else) - hope things get better soon. Thank you for mentioning Aldi upthread - I popped in this evening and got a few things we needed eg nice cotton cellular blankets £2.49 each. Love a bargain.

Am feeling huge at the moment! One of my weekend projects is going to have to be moving the buttons on my coat! Didn't feel like eating any dinner (very unlike me) but managed some scrambled eggs Grin

Blondie87 · 29/01/2015 21:44

Hope all is well Shiny. Sorry to hear you're suffering Tori, that sounds miserable :(
Today I handed in my MATB1 and have had my maternity leave officially confirmed to be starting on April 27th (I'll be 37+3). Can't believe that's 12weeks' away and only 9 of those actually at work due to holidays! Feeling like I need it after 12hour day with Parents' Evening and another next week! TGIF tomorrow!!

leanne963 · 29/01/2015 21:54

Sorry to hear about the bleeding tori it's not very nice is it?!

My tutor has suggested I don't come back to uni after the easter break cause I will benefit more from studying from home and taking care of myself rather than be in Uni. So that means I'll be finishing on March the 28th which is so scary.

Also I was having a little look at my nipples earlier and I definitely saw a bit of moisture when I had a little pinch. I am so weird I know lol.....

You will love Bath and the Thermae Spa Tori! That's a good tip Chookford might tell my MW next week as Lactulose is really sweet.

Looks like a few of us had long Parents Evenings his week Blondie - I was in from 7am on Tuesday and didn't leave till gone 8pm, urgh!

applecore0317 · 30/01/2015 05:22

oh no bean what a horrible allergy for your dd to have

Sorry you're bleeding again tori movicol as chookford said is good, I know its precribed to people that suffer badly following being on certain types of meds
or treatment

So is Aldi selling baby stuff at the moment? will have to nose when we do the shop next week

Sorry to those of you with long days cause of parent evenings

Handed in my matb1 last week, finish on 1st May, first two weeks am taking as holiday :) feels very real now
