Yup I was told between 28-32wks for whooping cough. I am having mine next week.

Loving all the talk of doughnuts and cake today, seem to have moved on from the chocolate obsession!

Ginger - yes, can't believe it posted saying he was dead! Blush wish this site had an edit or delete button! Glad you have the Boba too. Have done a lot of research and watched a lot of YouTube films before taking the plunge!

CostaLotta · 11/02/2015 20:14

We had a better afternoon once he had a good nap at lunchtime!

I've just had a caramel, debating what to have next... So glad I am not the only chocolate addict in here! Mmm jam doughnut and iced finger. Last time I was pregnant iced fingers were my craving and I would limit myself to 1 a week. Now what happened to that willpower?!

Whooping cough vaccine. I had an allergic reaction last time, itchy red rash from head to foot. Would you risk it again? I have looked after babies with whooping cough and really want to protect my baby. It's actually the same vaccine our babies get at 8, 12 and 16 weeks. No wonder they recommend calpol after it if it's made you feel so rubbish Kitty. Hope you feel better soon.

SmileyScooby · 11/02/2015 20:35

Hi all,
We are super chatty aren't we! I must admit after the chat last night about chocolate I did have a cadburys caramel egg today oops and some jelly fruits (like super soft fruit pastilles!!) and have just made chocolate Cornflake cakes for my tutor groups cake sale tomorrow (and yes I did clean the bowl of melted chocolate hehe).

Snooky I didn't know there was a Terry's choc Orange Easter egg!! I am going to have to put a request in for that with the parents (who still buy us Easter eggs and advent calendars!!)

Kitty you said about fizzy cola bottles...I nearly picked up haribo minions when was shopping this evening I don't know how I resisted! Hope the effects of the vaccine ease soon, I don't know when I will have it...seeing midwife late next week. Oh and I've also got parents evening tomorrow Zzzz

Leanne I've got such a sweet (as in chocolate and sweets!) tooth at the moment, dreading what midwife will say next week! Baby's belly was in the 90th percentile last scan, have got another one coming up (as being monitored) so fingers crossed it isn't still up there although with all this sugar the last two weeks it might be!!

Blondie how scary! But glad to hear you are both ok! DH gave me a 'bump belt' the other day that he'd ordered online - basically a thin cushion mat that you sit on which has elasticated straps that hold the lap part of seat belt across legs away from bump.

catnip I've got mothercare bloomin marvellous over bump ones, I prefer the boot cut to the skinny jeans. I was an 18/20 pre pregnancy and so got one set of each and both are comfortable 20 is super comfy.

apple I'm having bloods taken on early next week by nurse at drs for my 28 week appointment which is later in the week. Anti-D is already booked for start of March and no idea when whooping cough will be...so I am with you on the pin cushion thing.

I'm joining the aching crew this evening! Back and sides are sore this evening.

I bought some tonic water this evening to try re the leg cramps but DH has been googling and said not supposed to have when pregnant...I have just looked and found conflicting advice. Any words of wisdom from non first time mums?

Sunshinesaz86 · 11/02/2015 21:18

Glad your ok blondie must of been a shock for u.

kitty your pain does sound like pgp/spd? Hope it doesn't worsen for u, and mmm to fizzy cola bottles.

When does the third trimester start officially 27/28 weeks? X

bradders85 · 11/02/2015 22:26

Kitty my midwife has put in my notes today Pelvic Girdle pain and that is what I am signed off with at the minute. I don't get pain in my bum but for months have has pain in top inside of left leg and also a bit of sciatica which comes and goes. My leg is the worst bit though, can hurt when sat or if I have been on my feet too long.....resulting in a limp! It's only today that she said she will refer me to physio (although I have mentioned it at last two midwife visits). I'd mention it to midwife if it persists. x

Fluffeh · 12/02/2015 06:26

Blondie that sounds scary so glad you and baby are both ok x.
All this talk of chocolate is not good for me. I'm a Cadbury a Holic but only the dairy milk kind I hate the new stuff on cream eggs.
I'm hoping 3rd trimester starts at 27 weeks as that means I'm finally on the home straight yay!
Pgp suffers the best advise I had from the physio was not to stay in one position too long. I try not to sit or stand in one place for more than 15 mins asi seize up and get really uncomfy. Although I can't help it overnight so I always walk like John Wayne for a few hours on a morning.
Found some bargain pram sheets in B&M yesterday, £2.99 for 2. I now have an actual list of things that need buying before he's born so feel less stressed out. I daren't add up how much it needs money wise though I'm just going to get things as I stumble across them and if anything isn't bought by 36 weeks ill order it online.
I'm at the hospital this morning meaning we have to pass lidl, all this talk of donuts, I may have to call in and buy some :D.

KittyVonCatsington · 12/02/2015 06:49

Morning! After a long sleep I feel better-no more headache and just a sniffly nose.

I'm just not sure if my bum pain (!) is piles or PGP but either way should go after birth i hope!? Sat down in a bath yesterday and yelped as it was quite achey sitting down. Will vary up movements today and try and sit and stand frequently during my lessons today.
apple my MW told me to book my whooping cough jab at my GP surgery directly and a practice nurse did it. Had more bloods done at my appointment with the MW though.

applecore0317 · 12/02/2015 07:05

Thanks everyone, will get everything booked in at my appointment next week, least its done then :)

applecore0317 · 12/02/2015 07:12

DH was laying with his hand on my belly this morning whilst baby apple was having a proper little wriggle and as he has only really caught the kicks up until now. He pulled his hand away and said

"ugh that's grim"

followed by covering it and saying he didn't meant grim he meant weird and freaky

told him that it would be going in this weeks entry of my Bump to Birthday book ha ba

applecore0317 · 12/02/2015 07:13

kitty is it itching at all? itching is usually a good indication of piles

:( Tori is he just scared of hurting you? I find the best time is morning cuddles, because he is dopey and more relaxed and she seems to wake up when the alarm goes off

mumxof3x · 12/02/2015 12:43

Scary blondie, hope you are ok today.

I love buns, I love chocolate and sweets. Im terrible :/

Had my follow up midwife app today after the concerns 2 weeks ago. Shes not happy, had another funny turn while I was there, so been reffered back to my consultant on tuesday, shes wrote unexplained tachycardia in my notes, and got to see gp at 6.30 today. Also had blood in my wee but no signs of a uti, so thats been sent off today, get the results tommorow. And then see her again in 2wks x

gingerfluffball · 12/02/2015 13:27

Oh dear mumx, hope the GP appt goes well today. Keep us posted.

Bump has changed shape today, it looks a lot lower and less rounded, and I'm feeling more pressure in my pelvis. Plus a few hefty rib kicks Smile It seems far too early for baby to engage at this point doesn't it? I'm 28+2.

applecore0317 · 12/02/2015 13:37

Sorry you are still having problems mum but glad you are being referred back to the consultant, also hope your test comes back clear

ginger I find that sometimes she rolls down and out, so my bump can look lower, but don't know when the earliest is that they can become engaged, mines head down anyway in all my internal scans so she head butts downwards

Chookford · 12/02/2015 15:46

mum sorry to hear you are suffering, hope you get some answers and treatment soon.

blondie sorry to hear you had a nasty shock, but glad to hear baby is ok!

kitty glad to hear you are doing better... Long may it continue!

I've had my anti d today as well as collecting 2 different prescriptions and taking DS2 to 2 different appointments. I'm shattered, and now having just yelled at my children in the car I've turned around and a lady is staring at me like Shock HmmBlush

Everyone I've spoken too has given me a sympathetic head tilt and told me I look exhausted.

Bedtime will be welcome today, I'm currently waiting to take DS3 into a different appointment and I'm tempted to just speed off home and scream into a pillow! ARGHARGHAGEHARGH!!!!

Blondie87 · 12/02/2015 16:53

Thanks everyone, feeling fine today. So relieved! Made me realise how much I blooming love this baby already!
Mum hope everything comes back ok, at least they are investigating it properly.
Sorry to hear those of you who are suffering from aches and pains, I hope you get some relief soon.
Smiley a bump belt sounds like a great idea particularly as the seat belt is getting tight!

Chookford · 12/02/2015 18:00

tori that's a pain in the bum, hope you get it sorted out soon!

tits sorry to hear you are having a stressful day... When the kids go to bed have a nice warm bath, a cup of tea and some sort of chocolate naughtiness! Wink

mumxof3x · 12/02/2015 19:30

I kid you not lol, this was my gp's response " what can I do about it at this time? Next time it happens strangle yourself (while showing me how to press thumbs into neck) or stick your head in a cold bucket of water. Waste of time. I dont know why midwife told me to see him anyway as she reffered me to consultant.

applecore0317 · 12/02/2015 20:11

What the hell Mum That's an awful thing for a GP to say!! Are you going to report him?

mumxof3x · 12/02/2015 20:17

My partner says I have to apple. Hes just moved to a different surgery because this one is rubbish, but I stayed at this one because thats where my mifwife clinic is
