chook yes to the blocked nose thing!!!! Fine all day but blocked at night. OH even said I was snoring (I choose to believe I don't!)

cuphat · 11/02/2015 13:04

I've never been keen on creme eggs as I find them too sickly. But I now feel the need to try one if they've changed. If only I'd read this before I went out for the morning.

Snooky17 · 11/02/2015 13:14

I had a drifter both bars, one for me one for the baby it's important to share right, on the cream egg debate they are def not as good now they are less sickly and the chocolate has been changed, did notice that tesco now have the yummy Terry's chocolate orange Easter eggs, I am firmly of the opinion that since its a orange flavoured that I'm counting it as one of my five a day hehe.
Wow do my hips and pelvis hurt today

Chookford · 11/02/2015 13:24

scottish glad its not just me then!!!

leanne963 · 11/02/2015 13:28

chook I am snotty pretty much all day but it Def gets worse when I get into bed and I can't blow anything out or breath anything it! It is so frustrating!!

BeanCalledPickle · 11/02/2015 14:01

A guy in my team at work is making his own wedding cake. He's brought in several of his failed attempts recently. I'm very supportive of his efforts to improve. Smile

Those who were asking what I do btw I'm a government lawyer. Generally I just do the legal work for the home office but every now and again they borrow people and send them to places where they might not have enough of their own lawyers. Hence the request that someone go to Ascension Island. Would be totally up for it if not big fat pregnant!

Scottishgal78 · 11/02/2015 14:09

Ooh a drifter!

CostaLotta · 11/02/2015 14:10

Glad to see I'm doing my best by baby with all of the chocolate I'm eating!

Having a bad day. DS woke up at 1am asking for 'crumpets and yoghurt'. Cried and moaned that he was hungry and needs food for half an hour until I gave in and gave him the bloody yoghurt. He was unsettled the rest of the night, up at 5.50am! So we are both knackered and emotional today. Roll on bedtime!!

KittyVonCatsington · 11/02/2015 14:49

Afternoon Ladies!!!

I have three words for you... white chocolate cookies Grin

Just a quick heads up about the whooping cough jab - I had mine yesterday afternoon and today I am a bit feverish with a stonking headache and blurry vision. All possible side effects of the whooping cough jab but not pleasant none the less! Just wanted to let you know in terms of preparation if you are one of the unlucky ladies who get more than just a sore arm Smile

Also, I didn't realise that the vaccine also contains Polio, Diphtheria and Tetanus protection, as none of them are live vaccines and can provide immunity to the baby until their first lot of injections.

Hope you have a better day Costa!

bradders85 · 11/02/2015 15:32

Hi everyone, just been catching up! Hope you are all well - all this chocolate discussion is not good for me!

I had the midwife this morning and am measuring above my growth chart after being bang on last time......i think my mini egg addiction could be a factor (I hope!) otherwise I am set to have a monster baby!!
Snooky I am with you on the pain front today - my pelvis and back are killing me, just cannot get comfortable and the midwife referring me to physio. Got my whooping cough jab booked in for the 26th too so thanks for the info kitty, hope your feeling a bit better soon.

leanne963 · 11/02/2015 16:14

Hope you feel better soon kitty that doesn't sounds fun!!!

Sorry you had a bad night costa just have tea and go straight to bed tonight ha!

Hope everyone else is having a good day, DP just went to the shops and got a chocolate cake and a kinder buena for me yum!!!

KittyVonCatsington · 11/02/2015 16:50

I just wolfed down some fizzy cola bottles Grin

leanne963 · 11/02/2015 16:52

Anyone else concerned their baby will come out like a mini sumo wrestler with an addiction to sugar?! It slightly concerns me!

piglet81 · 11/02/2015 17:07

Me too leanne! I've had two jam doughnuts and a load of biscuits today!

bradders85 · 11/02/2015 17:27

and me leanne - baby will have my sweet tooth I'm sure!

Blondie87 · 11/02/2015 17:37

Chain eating chocolate after a rather stressful day. A taxi driver bumped into the back of my car on the way to work. Not serious but enough to jolt me forward. I think when he noticed I was pregnant he was mortified! He even rang school to check I was ok which I thought was considerate. All of my colleagues insisted I get checked out and after consulting Dr Google and hearing horror stories I went to A&E who referred me to a MW. She listened to baby's Hb which was first time I'd heard it and thankfully he seems fine. It just shook me up as I was really worried he'd somehow got hurt. Luckily felt quite a bit of movement this afternoon and DH is being sweet!

Blondie87 · 11/02/2015 17:39

Yes Leanne, worried he'll be burdened with my zero willpower for sugar! Oh well, there are worse things to be addicted to!

leanne963 · 11/02/2015 17:46

Oh no blondie sounds scary but glad you are OK!!! I have zero willpower to sugar too, I've never stuck to a diet ha!

bradders and piglet oh jam doughnuts yum yum!!!!

bradders85 · 11/02/2015 18:03

pleased things are ok blondie and DH looking after you - have a relaxing evening.
leanne.....mmm jam doughnuts, I enjoyed an iced finger today and ate it in record time!

Scottishgal78 · 11/02/2015 18:13

No wonder you were shaken up blondie. Was nice of him to phone though eh? Something on the news today about what you eat in pregnancy affecting weight in late life. I'm screwed then! Although I'm inclined to believe it's more about eating habits taught to children.

catnip85 · 11/02/2015 18:34

Mmm chocolate! Was trying to be good today but may have now been swayed. Had a slice of cake plus a large cupcake for breakfast yesterday Blush they were so good.

kitty hope yr feeling better soon and thanks for the heads up- ive got my vaccination booked for next wk so will keep my weekend clear just in case.

bean wish my work involved cool trips to far flung destinations!

My back has been playing up today. Going to insist that DH gives me a back rub when I get home

catnip85 · 11/02/2015 18:37

Btw can anyone recommend a good brand of maternity jeans? The ones ive bought (h&m) are so bloody uncomfortable might be something to do with all the cake now I think about it

KittyVonCatsington · 11/02/2015 18:58

Oh no Blondie how scary for you. V glad you and your baby boy are okay though. Take it easy tonight!

Anyone else have an achey/painful bum when you sit down - getting annoying! Can't tell if it's to do with piles or something I have googled called pelvic girdle pain. Will be happy when today is over although not looking forward to a long parents evening tomorrow

applecore0317 · 11/02/2015 19:35

so glad all is ok blondie

catnip I have H&M, Mamas and Papas, Debehams and Next... all sale stuff lol

My next ones are the most comfortable. Although my H&M jegging style jeans are great but I find the bump band part too tigjt and had to cut them. Debenhams ones are nice but am in between sizes on theirs.

Three sorry for starting off all the chocolate talk, sucks that you can't have sugar

hope you get a better nights sleep tonight costa

when do we have the whooping cough jab? Am fully under the consultant now so need to book in for all my jabs there, and do we get another lot of blood tests at 28 weeks? need my anti d too, pin cushion comes to mind lol

inthewoods4 · 11/02/2015 19:38

For anyone with a bad back, I got myself a bump support band from jo jo mama bebe and it's made my back so much better! It was agony before! Sad
