SmileyScooby · 12/02/2015 21:33

Blondie this is it but not sure if this is where DH got it from as he's forgotten!! www.amazon.co.uk/Clippasafe-CL575-Advanced-Bump-Belt/dp/B0007VB6WI

mum that is awful what was said! I hope tests are ok

Tits hope you are relaxing now! What was the anti-d injection like? I've got mine in March and driving to work afterwards...

Am knackered after parents evening Zzzzzz

Titsalinabumsquash · 12/02/2015 22:01

Anti D was fine, I didn't even feel it, I just had to wait 10 mins after to make sure I didn't have a bad reaction, just make sure to wiggle your fingers as it goes in and it doesn't even sting. Smile

I've got one of those bump belts, it's great as I go on long car journeys to visit family and I feel much safer having the seatbelt away from my bump.

applecore0317 · 12/02/2015 22:19

definitely report him Mum and I would be changing surgeries too, although wouldn't want that arse to win!!!

Glad the Anti D didn't hurt Tits am not a fan of needles

Royalsteph · 12/02/2015 22:22

I'm gonna be a pin cushion next week. I have to get blood taken on Monday, midwife on Tuesday, whooping cough on wed and then anti D on Friday. looking forward to hearing baby's heartbeat again and hopefully the midwife will measure bump for the first time. it's nearly the weekend Grin

applecore0317 · 12/02/2015 22:23

That's the one annoying thing about being under the consultant, he doesn't do the whole heartbeat listening thing

Fluffeh · 13/02/2015 06:47

Wow Mum what a complete tosser of a gp. You should definitely complain and move surgeries.
I really hope your feeling a bit better today and ignore his stupid advice x.

I had my consultant appointment and it was fab. My vbac in the MLU has been agreed with an elcs at 40+12 if no spontaneous labour before. She said she will not induce a woman who's had a previous section but will fully support agas long a wait for natural labour as that woman wants.
I had my bump measured too and although my chart says it should be between 26-28 it's actually 33cm eek. I have a growth scan next week so I'm trying not to imagine giving birth to hulk hogan just yet haha. I can't rememeber how I measured with dd but I know she was predicted to be 8-9lb by scans and came out at 6.13oz. Hopefully it's just fluid and or my fat belly.
I hope everyone is doing well. Has anyone got anything planned with older dcs for half term?

WigglyWigglyWoo · 13/02/2015 08:03

Morning ladies! It's a while since I've posted but been reading along Smile

My pregnancy app has just told me I've been pregnant for 200 days! That seems like a really long time.

Don't worry Fluffeh- the midwife said the bump size doesn't correlate much with baby size- phew!!

Snooky17 · 13/02/2015 09:31

Always wondered about the measuring, surely those that ie me that have tummy fat measure bigger than those that are slim with low tummy fat.

longestlurkerever · 13/02/2015 10:01

I wondered that too snooky but I think they genuinely measure the bump. It's not very accurate though - they don't bother measuring in France, from what my friend there tells me.

Sorry guys, what is Anti-D? I have only been told about whooping cough vaccine and GTT at 28 weeks and don't remember it from last time (didn't even have the other two).

Fluffeh my dd will be at holiday club for three days - they do things like bowling and cinema with them there - but I am off on Wed and we're going to the Children's festival at the Southbank centre. A Charlie and Lola puppet show is on, which is one of her absolute favourites. Still on the lookout for a couple of activities my dm can take her to though when she looks after her on the Tues.

longestlurkerever · 13/02/2015 10:02

Oh is anti-d the one for negative blood groups? I am positive so guess I don't need it?

KittyVonCatsington · 13/02/2015 10:04

Morning!

apple - there is no itching but but I do think the pain might be related to piles rather than PGP as they started at mostly the same time together. Oh the joys! Grin

Tori - oh enjoy Bath - you deserve it!! (Put the MATB1 troubles to one side for one day - my midwife spelt my name incorrectly on mine!)

mumx - some GPs have no communication skills - so awful for you Sad

Steph - not a pleasant week then!!! Yep - nearly the weekend

Glad your appointment was fab Fluffeh - my bump is technically one week behind but then everyone is saying I look small for 28+6 but the midwife said they just do it to check baby is growing, rather than use it to date/assign weight or size to baby. As long as it goes up every visit, they are happy!

Turquoisetamborine · 13/02/2015 10:21

Fluffeh I'm off all half term. I'm meant to be taking it easy but we will still do a few cinema visits, bowling (not for me, don't think it's very safe in pregnancy), trip to an adventure farm type place. Then hopefully I can go back to work the weeke after. Glad your appointment went well and they are on board with what you want to do in terms of giving birth.
Sorry your GP is so shit mum I would be changing practices if I were you.
Tori have a nice time in Bath. Somewhere I've always wanted to go but it's so far from us.

applecore0317 · 13/02/2015 10:23

Yep Anti D is for those of us that are Rhesus negative

when they measure the bump the feel for the top of the uterus, but most of my friends have been told that their babies will be massive and then turned out to be 7lbers, I think fluid can have a lot to do with it :)

Am currently measuring at 26cm at 25 weeks

longestlurkerever · 13/02/2015 10:31

Oops turquoise I have been bowling twice already this pregnancy! I just didn't choose the really heavy balls.

Turquoisetamborine · 13/02/2015 10:49

I'm sure you were fine longest my bones just feel all achy and soft and i would be worried I would dislocate something. I'm not keen on bowling shoes either!

applecore0317 · 13/02/2015 11:04

turquoise use one of those metal things that you just roll the ball down, perfect reason for one

longestlurkerever · 13/02/2015 11:15

apple - 3 yo dd used one of those and beat us all hands down!

applecore0317 · 13/02/2015 11:20

ha ha longest even better

Chookford · 13/02/2015 11:59

My dd wins bowling every time we go.. She is some sort of bowling genius!! Grin
