Yay thank Tits for helping much more than me, Smile

applecore0317 · 04/02/2015 22:30

hope everyone feels better :)

also get the leg cramps, completely ruined my love of the morning stretch which is now followed by "agh f*k, sit, owwwwwwch"

will try the tonic water. was told to avoid bananas though in general as they aren't helpful for constipation apparentlly

Threesoundslikealot · 04/02/2015 22:51

Also, in that typical pregnancy makes everything more complicated thing, some people think you should only drink limited amounts of tonic water because of the quinine. Can't remember how much though - probably loads before it's possibly a problem.

plinkyplonks · 04/02/2015 22:54

Yes, yes and more yes to the leg cramps :D

Had 28 week scan today - have added one of photos to my profile page (first one is from 16 week scan) ;) Beanie still looking alien like but moving much more towards a real baby :P

I've been waking in the night with horrible calf cramps too. DH has a brilliant technique though which seems to work for me - simply stretch out both legs flat and pull your toes back towards you (just using feet muscles) it seems to work instantaneously. It was a revelation for me as it went completely against my instinct to pull my legs up to my chest...

Fluffeh · 05/02/2015 06:27

Leg and foot cramps here too but they tend to be in the middle of the night whilst I'm trying to get comfortable.
Plinky I can't make the page load but I'm very jealous that you get photos from scans after 20wks. My hospital don't allow photos other than at 12 and 20 wks. I've got my first growth scan in 2 weeks but won't be able to get a photo :(.
Those with other children have you made childcare plans for the birth yet? I have my sister to take dd but never thought about what I'll do if it's in the middle of the noght or before she breaks up from uni for summer. She finishes for uni the week after Easter so hopefully it won't be that early. But if it's the middle of the night I might have to wake dd while dp takes me and leaves me at the hospital until my sister is up. I'd hate to wake her as she has 3 school age children who are pretty intense and I don't want to ruin her sleep.
Would I be ok for a while on my own or is that really stupid?

Titsalinabumsquash · 05/02/2015 07:20

I feel like crud today! Sad

I have a sudden hacking, fruity cough, that really hurts and my skin is itching like mad.
DS3 is as grumpy as hell, he's spent a few days with a little girl who has erupted into chicken pox over night so I don't know if he's going to be next but he's really difficult to cope with this morning.

Sounds like impending pox, Titsa. What a pain.

Fluffeh, I have a friend ready to take my two who works from home and is ready at a moment's notice. She took DD last time round. I'm planning a home birth so the middle of the night isn't an issue for me, but I'm sure as a one off and exciting occasion you could wake your sister. Ask her what she'd rather you did.

plinky also unable to see but jealous. My hospital does 32/36 week scans but by then you can only see individual limbs and things!

Mslad · 05/02/2015 09:15

Great photos's plinky I think beanie is looking much more baby than alien :)

Chookford · 05/02/2015 09:31

plinky congrats on good scan, I can't see pics either but sure they are fab! I have the first of my next three scans in 4wks I should get pics at all three of these... Well I did with my dd anyway

plinkyplonks · 05/02/2015 09:49

Here we go :) Left one is 28 weeks, right pics 16 weeks pic :P (Really hoping I'm not outing myself badly here!!)

plinkyplonks · 05/02/2015 10:57

leanne963 · 05/02/2015 11:17

Oh i bet!! It really is amazing so see their development :) I still got 15 weeks to go and it sounds like ages, but I'm finishing Uni is 8 weeks and that will come around so fast!

Snooky17 · 05/02/2015 17:50

Not getting cramps but am getting the OH rage, is anyone else's OH doing their head in ? Hoping I can write it off to pregnancy hormones, this is my 4th wish but my pregnancy amnesia is so much worse this time find myself not remembering anything about being pregnant before that plus my age decrepit ness lol

bradders85 · 05/02/2015 18:24

Welcome catnip - we are having a surprise too, this is dc1 so I am enjoying the guessing game. Hope everyone has had a good day.

I have been to see my nephew and when I got home dp was back home (he's been working away for 2 weeks) and I thought he was away longer so a very pleasant surprise indeed! :)
