Definitely going to book a holiday for Easter time (kittiker it may be to mull!) But that will be with dd. Maybe I should try a weekend away just me and dh. Haven't actually done that since dd was born.

Congratulations on entering 3rd trimester kitti and anyone else who has got there already. Amazing!

applecore0317 · 01/02/2015 19:34

I got it in my size and it felt comfortable. The bottoms were a bit big but not noticeable and am sure they will fit me when I wear it in a month :D

shinyhappyone · 01/02/2015 19:53

Ooh this group makes me all warm and fuzzy. With so many of us having the same aches and niggles, it just makes me feel like I'm normal and not subhuman! I don't know any other pregnant women locally to have chats with so you lot have been a godsend this wknd! Wish you could all come round for tea and cake!
Apple thanks for the link to the maternity swimwear. Was thinking of looking for some this week.

xx

FeelingBlessed77 · 01/02/2015 20:06

shiny - I completely agree with you.

Turquoisetamborine · 01/02/2015 20:38

Apple, that tanking looks lovely. Trying not to spend much this month though as we are off to center parcs with DS next weekend. Then it's half term which is always pricy. DS eats us out of house and home as well and it's always worse in the holidays. Will have nappies, wipes and possibly formula to add to the shopping list soon!

Turquoisetamborine · 01/02/2015 20:39

Tankini not tanking!

Chookford · 01/02/2015 21:04

I'm going to get away for a Babymoon too it's my birthday in March so am thinking we will go to Bath for a long weekend I'm also getting a mum to be massage from my munmm and sisters for my bday so am looking forward to that!

I didn't tear last time just got a little graze am so hoping for the same again this time!

So did someone mention cake??! Grin

CostaLotta · 01/02/2015 21:22

Oh I want a mini break!! We aren't going anywhere. Was hoping to get to Ireland to see DH's family but don't think we can get enough time off work til April and that might be too late. Hmm a nice spa break would be soooo lovely!

Shiny I feel exactly the same as you. All of a sudden I feel big and everything has suddenly got harder! Especially trying to get my bloody wellies off!!

Does anyone else have leaky boobs? I never had this with DS but when I'm in the shower they keep leaking, surely it's too soon to have milk in there!!

Justyouwaitandsee · 01/02/2015 22:03

Hi everyone,

I am pretty lost on the thread again so am just going to jump in and try to catch up.

I am very jealous of all the talk of mini breaks - we are going nowhere whilst we try to get the house done.
Window fitters arrive tomorrow and I am soooo nervous. We are spending so much money and I just really hope the company (and/or weather!) doesn't let us down! Spent all morning trying to get as much stuff packed away as possible.

Costa - my boobs have been leaking since about wk22. Am wearing a sleep bra and washable breast pads at night (sexy!) Wink

We just got back from a weekend in Paris staying with friends who are living there. Lots of fun but not really romantic or relaxing! No kids though for the first time since DD was born.

I'm very envious of leaking boobs-mine don't work properly so I get none of that!

26 weeks for me now. Simultaneously seems far along and ages still to go. We did loads of walking this weekend which was mostly OK but I'm a bit achey. I'm wearing my sexy tubigrip body stocking now which is really supportive - cheaper and simpler than an SPD support belt!

applecore0317 · 01/02/2015 22:19

Agreed Shiny :)

No leaky boobs here, at least nothing that I have noticed, they have started to get a bit achey again though and nipples are flaky and dry

Can't believe Monday is coming round already...

Justyouwaitandsee · 01/02/2015 22:59

Haha - well at my midwife led mums to be class, the midwife said that leaky boobs don't mean we're going to be any better at breastfeeding, just that we are lacking in the hormone which is supposed to let our boobs know we havent given birth yet. Reassured all the ladies who weren't leaking, but took away the one potential positive for us ladies who are! Smile

Chookford · 02/02/2015 11:00

Morning ladies

Hope everyone is well this morning, it is bloody freezing here!!!

I actually got my arse in gear this weekend and we cleared out our loft ready for moving house in April, so I got all the baby clothes down and washed them all... having a house full of tiny clothes again is making this all seem very real! And I am leaving work on April 2nd... it really is not that long away! eeeek this is all actually happening! Grin

anyway hope everyone has an ok Monday! (Mondays generally suck in my opinion!)

applecore0317 · 02/02/2015 11:49

Morning!!! Mondays are painful, so happy that I am on an early shift and finish at four

Have been offered a load of baby clothes from a guy on my team this morning, I thanked him, but now thinking about it, I have so many from my Aunty and other friends that I am going to end up with loads that don't get used

Do you think it would be rude to say thanks but no thanks and than someone else might benefit from them more? I should have said it straight away but was a bit put on the spot

aberjen · 02/02/2015 13:02

Afternoon all Smile

Very jealous of all the babymoon/holiday talk! I shall just have to live vicariously through the rest of you Grin

apple I don't think it's rude, you're trying to be considerate Smile If you're worried about causing offense, you could maybe put it in terms of 'thanks v much, although tbh we've been given loads of stuff already so if there's anyone else you want to offer it to instead, that's fine, I don't mind'?

Apologies, but I need to ask a TMI poo question... There's been lots of talk of constipation, but has anyone else kind of gone in the other direction?! Over the last few weeks, there have been 3 or 4 times when I've had to nip to the loo pretty sharpish. Also happened a couple of times in the the first trimester, then stopped. Don't think it's a bug as it's generally a one-off and then I'm fine, although with a slightly churny tummy. Just finding it odd as didn't have this at all when pg with DD. Will mention it to midwife but not seeing her for another 3 weeks, so wanted to see if anyone else has had this too. Thanks!

leanne963 · 02/02/2015 13:37

Oooh good luck with the move Chook bet you can't wait to get settled in to your new home!

Apple I would just be honest and say you have so many clothes you wouldn't feel right taking anymore and that you would prefer someone else who needs them more could get them! I think that is very fair :)

aberjen I havn't suffered very much in the way of constipation, i tend to be looser if anything, but then can go more often IYSWIM.

I'm getting really bad back pain at the moment, trying to get out of bed in the middle of the night is becoming so painful, feel like my bones are just crunching together at the lower part of my back. Not nice, might need to invest in a support belt!

longestlurkerever · 02/02/2015 13:52

I have had a bit of that aberjen. I think anything goes bowels-wise in pregnancy.

applecore0317 · 02/02/2015 14:16

does anyone know who the admin is for the facebook group so I can get added?

Thanks, yeah I think I'll just say that :)

leanne963 · 02/02/2015 14:24

Apologies if you've asked before and I've not done it, my brain has turned to mush. Grin

SmileyScooby · 02/02/2015 19:42

Evening!!

Just wondering about pushchairs/car seats...now we were thinking about getting a maxicosi car seat (as apparently safest?) and then getting a pushchair where the car seat can basically just clip on...however ive just been reading that shouldn't always do this etc and baby's need to lie flat...can someone who has been through all this before explain to me?

Also any recommendations for car seats/pushchairs/travel systems (we don't really like traditional 'prams', the pushchair will need to fit in a smallish boot and car seat compatible with isofix and non-isofix cars.

Thanks!!!
